  1. They're actually all from a book I have called "Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs: A Low Culture Manifesto" by Chuck Klosterman. I wrote about it in the "what are you reading?" thread. Highly recommended. :thumb: lol there are 20 questions like this in total in the book, so I will run out (eventually)
  2. Random? Yes. But also very on-point! :werd:
  3. Well, two websites I consistently read (besides this one) when I'm on the comp are... - www.theonion.com - www.bostonsportsguy.com Good stuff, my friends. :wiggle:
  4. I find that THOROUGHLY amusing. :thumb: Thanks, AJ.
  5. Although I am usually considered a moderately intelligent person, and the metric system is, by all standards, a fairly simple system... I will never be able to integrate kilometers and all those silly measurements into my daily life. Inches, feet, and miles foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. :ridepony:
  6. Yeah, "of" definately makes more sense. And like Jonny says, it sounds like he's sayin "a", and that's how you say "of" when you're talkin fast. "Book of Job" = "Booka Job." (it's the only example I could think of).
  7. You know it's Big Willie Style, baby... it was the second album I ever bought. :music:
  8. Gosh, I was just re-reading this for the first time... what a seriously written review. :slap: I stand by what I wrote but this was clearly meant as a comic-relief-type thread. Ah well, like Will, I'll throw in the occasional "Afro Angel," but I'll be back with a "Parents Just Don't Understand" next time. :wiggle: EDIT= thanks for the feedback, by the way :thumb:
  9. Asking me to pick my favorite clickable smiley is like asking a mother to pick her favorite child. Well, sort of... HOWEVER, if I HAD to pick a couple faves, the following three would be the chosen ones: :ahoy: ...because I secretly wish I was a sea captain :wiggle: ...because for apparent reason, it consistently makes me laugh AND finally :egg: ...because honestly, how would we get along without this one?
  10. You meet a wizard in downtown Chicago. The wizard tells you he can make you more attractive if you pay him money. When you ask how this process works, the wizard points to a random person on the street. You look at this random stranger. The wizard says "I will now make them a dollar more attractive." He waves his magic wand. Ostensibly, this person does not change at all; as far as you can tell, nothing is different. But-- somehow-- this person is suddenly a little more appealing. The tangible difference is invisible to the naked eye, but you can't deny that this person is vaguely sexier. This wizard has a weird rule, though-- you can only pay him once. You can't keep giving him money until you're satisfied. You can only pay him in one lump sum up front. How much cash do you give the wizard?
  11. Will2K. Fun stuff. :jazzyinthehouse:
  12. Even tho I clearly took a stance against these in my "weekly review," if someone really wanted to get sum printed up hahahha... http://www.gimmees.com/awareness_bracelets.asp
  13. I know man, sry 4 that!!! I usually don't post things like that but it seems like every second guy in da world hates Will and it really gets on my nerves now... They should get up and understand that Will does great and right music and not that gangsta crap and all! Will is so talented and they should appreciate that! I mean damn, he makes movies and music and both are awesome, so whatchu want from him???! U know what I mean man? Sry again 4 the post... :peace: No need to apologize, I understand what u were sayin :thumb:
  14. 30 second free clip of Raffi's "Baby Beluga" on iTunes (repeatedly)
  15. Allright... it's time to break the ice, once and for all, on my "weekly" reviews. The longer people have to wait for something, in general, the higher the demands for quality get, and the harsher criticism gets when results are less than satisfying (see: my response to "Switch"). There is no question that this understanding has fed into the obscene length of time it has taken for me to post my first review. At first I wasn't overly enthusiastic about suggestions that I eat dog food and then I was consumed with questions of college and then came writer's block and the desire to come out with something perfect. Well, the following will not be perfect (not even close). But it will, as I have said, break the ice. And then I can start posting random crap here all the time without the fear of making a bad first impression. So, let the review commence: CHARITY/CAUSE BRACELETS. I am not sure if the charity/cause bracelet is a worldwide phenomena, but it has certainly swept these here United States of America. People everywhere have 1, 2, or 3 colorful, plastic bracelets around their wrists at all times. Lance Armstrong's "Livestrong" yellow bands started it all, and since then, there has been an onslaught of others: tsunami victims bracelets, world peace bracelets, Red Sox bracelets (locally, at least) that support the Jimmy Fund, and on and on and on... It's tough to argue with the money these things have undoubtably raised. Lance's brand alone must've garnered HUGE funds for cancer research, judging from how common those things are. But my problem is sort of the whole ethics behind the thing... Maybe I'm being too negative, but what these bracelets often represent to me is the shallow nature of many people's generosity. Like, some people will only give away money when it's glamorus. "Well, I suppose I could have made this modest donation to this worthy cause before, but I wouldn't have gotten this cool accessory, which is not only trendy and cool but tells the whole world how charitable I am." I guess some argue that the bracelets somehow "raise awareness" for their respective causes... but I have yet to see one person walk up to another person wearing an unfamiliar wristband and inquire as to what the bracelet symbolizes and how they can help. And for the record, I think most people know cancer, tsunamies, and war are bad. ANYWAYS It should be noted that I am writing this thing in a half asleep daze, brought on by one of the most uninspiring basketball games I have ever seen in my life. This review was not funny, it was not well written, and it probably wasn't interesting or thought provoking. But I'm not too worried about that-- it's something I've brought up in conversation before and thought I could write a little blurb on to get these reviews up and going. The only thing I truly regret is that my rushed and sleepy pace and tone have not allowed me to properly utilize clickable smilies. So here is my compensation... :slap: :ridepony:  :afro:   :rosik: :peace: :cussing:  :dancingcool: :grouphug: :stupid: :laugh2:  :blah: :nhawong: :bounce: Ooooooooooooookay then! I am now going to go to my bedroom, and fall asleep insanely early. I am tired. Raffi & Baby Beluga forever! Catch you on the flipside......................
  16. Celtics-Pacers Game 7 might have been the ugliest basketball game I have ever seen. Ugh. Just... ugh. Maybe I'll have more to say later...
  17. That clip was so stupid that I found it funny.
  18. Also, just got back from havin lunch and wanted to check out that comment about loving the over-commercialized rap... I found Tate's review of Game's album, and he absolutely hated it, and writes his whole review from the angle of how terrible that brand of music is. So don't throw somethin out there w.out checkin sources! I'm an aspiring journalist, and that's rule #1A.
  19. With all due respect, AJ - you're clearly one of the "big guns" on this board - I'm not all that thrilled with your letter. Cut out the ridiculous bookends-- "Greg Tate (the most hip hop name ever)" and the "thugged out 13 year old white kid" comment-- and you might've had a decent point. But think before you write, man! If I were that guy, I would completely dismiss your points b/c of that ignorance you spewed out there. I know it's meant as comedy to some extent, but for my tastes, I'm not feelin it.
  20. Especially when there are more important things taking place in the world. I mean... the Celtics are playing game 7 tonight. Got other things on my mind. Exactly! Gotta keep it all in perspective :ridepony:
  21. I can't get upset about these types of things like some people here do-- lmao EStyleGreesy-- BUT that is a pretty ridiculous article. :toetap:
  22. Hey you just inspired my first monthly review!
  23. h a p p y b i r t h d a y ! :dancingcool: :dancingcool: :dancingcool: :dancingcool: :dancingcool: :dancingcool: :dancingcool: :dancingcool: :dancingcool: :dancingcool:
  24. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAH! I may have gone out in the first round, but I lost to the champ! Oh and, uhh, congrats Schnazz. :thumb:
