  1. Yeah... you can get pics from the performance here: http://www.kiss108.com/KC2005/backstage.htm .... but, unfortunately, they didn't play the show on the radio, they only did a few live interviews... I actually had it on when Will was interviewed and taped it, but it wasnt anything exciting / worth posting....
  2. I was determined to make my first real contribution to this forum today by recording JJFP's performance at Kiss Concert off the radio but, alas, Kiss 108 Boston is stupid and didn't play any of the live show. SO, instead, I'll accomplish my goal by posting a few tracks from the most obscure album I own, "Hands On" by Jurassic 5's DJ Nu Mark, which I've mentioned here before & I highly recommend... Enjoy... http://rapidshare.de/files/1906783/13_No_Good.m4a.html http://rapidshare.de/files/1906820/23_Bran...-Live_.m4a.html <<McbadBoy, this is the one I wrote about on the "relaxing rap tracks" thread... http://rapidshare.de/files/1906835/12_Chal...turing.m4a.html
  3. Yeah raising your kids the right way is the main thing, as Ted said... I mean, you can't shelter them from what these artists are saying-- not forever, anyways... and really, although the edited versions are probably more proper for younger kids, they know EXACTLY what words should be filling in the blanked out silent spots, and the messages, sometimes hateful, are evident with or without curses... the bottom line is, you hafta be able to understand what the messages are and... well, forget it :blabla: I'm gonna start rambling incoherently but yeah the main thing is that ppl are brought up well, and then they can interpret and appreciate music on different levels and understand what's right and wrong and so on and there are no problems, right? right :thumb:
  4. Hmmmm... well, they said Jazzy was "right here with him".... but it was like a 10 second interview w/. just Will lol.... but I recorded it! on cassette.... hmmm... we'll figure that out later :confused3:
  5. I am recording a JJFP interview RIGHT NOW :thumb:
  6. I was just eatin lunch and didn't hear the context, but in their lil blurb about the day they just said "DJ Jazzy Jeff"...... oh, and now they're playin Summertime! Very nice. (unnecessary update? perhaps... :wiggle: )
  7. I'm gonna be home most of the day... I'll keep Kiss on and attempt to record whatever passes by :thumb:
  8. ooooooo... Just saw this now... Hope ur feelin better :poke:
  9. hahaha good stuff, gracias
  10. http://money.cnn.com/pf/features/lists/global_gasprices/ aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand there you go :thumb: (this internet thing has quite a bit of info on it when you look)
  11. Interesting article. Basically stuff we've all heard before-- ridiculous preconceptions and prejudices dealing w/ race-- but an interesting read nonetheless... I'm definately not convinced that racism played a part in ppl's voting for Nashie as the MVP this year, but I've heard it mentioned before, and I wouldn't write it off as a complete non-possibility.... In any case, my take on the MVP thing this year, personally, was that neither Steve NOR Shaq deserved it. Steve got attention (rightfully so) b/c of the Suns' big turnaround from lottery to 60 wins and the high-octane offense he orchestrated. Shaq got attention (rightfully so) b/c of the ugly breakup with KB8, his slimmed down build, and his successful new partnership with D-Wade. HOWEVER, in my opinion, the real Most Valuable Player this year was Mr. Allen Iverson. He was healthy again, scored at will while shooting a pretty decent percentage, stepped up to Obie's challenge of playin the point and got his teammates involved... I haven't always been the biggest fan, but A.I. did his thing this year.
  12. Harry Chapin's "Greatest Stories Live" CD (how random...)
  13. Nah, it's not the BEST example, but it's the one that's bugged me lately, maybe moreso BECAUSE it has a bigger theme that should be more properly addressed. That standing on my wallet line just makes me cringe every time I hear it. Is that all you have to respond to the haters with? Screw you, Will! :chuks: (and I say that with all due respect lol)
  14. That stuff is definately just a part of hip hop, to some extent, and I love it when it's clever and written in a fun way... but sometimes I think Will lays it on a little thick... SOMEday I'll finish my L&F review, but that type of stuff kills "Wave 'Em Off" for me. I love the beat to that track-- it reminds me of Dilated & Kanye's "My Way"-- but I can't stand the lyrics. They're not poorly written, I just really don't wanna hear more and more and more about how rich you are Will. I get it! GOSH!!!!! :slap: What's your point??! I know your wallets thick!
  15. Brand Nu Live by J-Live & DJ Nu Mark from Jurassic 5... its from Nu Mark's CD "Hands On"... pretty obscure, but a really good relaxed rap track... maybe I'll post it someday if I figure out how to :thumb: (it just occured to me that this wasnt very helpful... o well! lol)
  16. I read the bit article on Time magazine's website. Interesting. Nothing but respect for Dave Chappelle. Seems like a real quality person. And, of course, insanely funny.
  17. Hmmm... time to use my extensive connections to get tickets to the after-party. :dancingcool:
  18. Hmm. That's funny. Because I swear I heard her say "Sid, we were meant to be". Wierd, huh? :kekeke: :stupid: These fools are bananas! Bee, aye, enn, aye, enn, aye, ess! :wavey:
  19. I saw that interview, and it was absolutely hee-larious. The guy was seriously weeping -- not just gettin a little teary eyed -- but all out WEEPING, and for a good portion of the interview. And really, he was weeping about basketball. Not about some tragedy or legitimate source of sadness, but he was crying about his team's struggles to win games. And John Thompson, who was doing the interview, only heightened the unintentional comedy by genuinely sympathizing with KG, reassuring him that he respected "the young fella" for getting that emotional. Are you serious, guy? Because getting that emotional about playing a game for money is obscene and unhealthy, if u ask me :confused3: And this mini-rant is officially......... done! :cya:
  20. Not my favorite track, but it's a fun song. I don't listen to it very often at all, but it'd be cool to hear live.
