  1. If you guys could keep in your prayers my family and my aunt, as she's been having an insane amount of health "issues" this past year, I'd appreciate it. It couldn't hurt, right?
  2. Scotty, your words ooze with brash confidence, You're in for a shock, cuz you're about to be dismissed, I'd be remiss, if I gave you no warning of this, The cross-pond, breakin you lyrically, it's strictly business, You try to come at my partner with your weak chicken diss, But the fact remains: the chicken's rhymes hit, and yours miss, I see that you think otherwise, but when the voters decide, I know they'll make the right choice: Scy and Jonny 5, So forget your dreams of limos and all of those lies, We still got the taxi waiting for the time of your demise, When you inevitably realize, that we're better than you guys, And your falsely inflated ego is brought down to proper size, Charm, I guess you're up next, but don't work yourself tired, This battle's done, like Game 5 after Horry caught fire, Two lines left? I guess I could make a New Jersey crack, But nope, not doing that, I'm too much of a class act.
  3. I think I've mentioned this before: WalMart is evil. Now finally other people are acknowledging this as well. ANYways, as for me, a WalMart's not close to me, I've had the ****tiest most hectic and horrible week ever, I'm short on money, and I don't want Hitch. So. We'll see. Did I mention WallMart is evil? :wtf:
  4. Well, personally, I don't watch BET, but I also very rarely watch MTV. I sometimes watch Vh1, but only for I Love the 90's. Just because. But basically, I'm just not into music-oriented television that much. I have always, however, felt really wierd about the BET label. There's nothing wrong with it, I guess, but it is strange and a signal of the racial divisions in our country. What exactly is black entertainment? Why do we need to segregate our entertainment? Whatever, I understand there are different cultures, but that's a leftover of old times and a signal that we still haven't seperated ourselves from old times. Think we'll ever, as a society, become fully and truly "colorblind"?? I didn't write that very eloquently but I think you get what I'm saying (maybe). Finally, don't worry about "going away" Justice Knight, there's no reason to be ashamed or whatever lol you were just trying to start a discussion. It's just the race is an ultra-sensitive subject with alotta ppl and things can get misinterpreted.
  5. For some reason, I'm really amused just watching Jeff and Ready Rock's reactions. :wtf: Oh Ready Rock C, already pushed to the back of the crowd in '88! hahah Thanks for the link...
  6. Thanks man... this is a cool find. Random, but his flow/style in this is kinda Slick-Rick-ish.
  7. This was in a friend of mine's AOL profile. I found it amusing, thought I'd share... "Here’s what I think the truth is: We are all addicts of fossil fuels in a state of denial, about to face cold turkey. And like so many addicts about to face cold turkey, our leaders are now committing violent crimes to get what little is left of what we’re hooked on."
  8. It never materialized, no worries. Just a scare. (not to minimalize it, I'm sure it was pretty tense if you were tryin to get outta there, waiting)
  9. I haven't listened to the whole thing yet, but I'm puttin it on my iPod and I'm gonna listen to it as I fall asleep haha. I can't say for sure yet, but this is probably the best thing, or at LEAST one of the best things, I've downloaded from the forum in my time here. Thanks so much! :ozzie:
  10. I love discussion of American politics. Because, inevitably, the conversation begins and then thrives within the context of broad generalities, such as: Bush is an idiot, the Iraq War was unjust... etc. (For the record, I agree with both of those example statements.) There is a definate tone of dissaproval and discontentment, but, for the most part, a noticeable lack of real depth of understanding or insight. (For the record, at this point and time I can't really provide either.) Eventually, however, all roads lead to: 1.) fast food and 2.) frivelous lawsuits. And finally, at this point, the essence of the great nation and superpower that I am a citizen of is finally reached: grease and greed. YOO ESS AYE ALL THE WAY BABY!! (Mighty Ducks style... quack quack?)
  11. I meant to mention this before, but I find it quite amusing that when you play this track in Windows Media Player, the album it displays is Big Crosby's Christmas album. :wiggle:
  12. Don't jump to conclusions. :hmm:
  13. hAPPY bIRTHDAY, mAN! :Party_fest09: 13's a cool age. :2thumbs:
  14. I'm being to passive... It will reach... NUMBER 8. No higher, no lower. :wiggle:
  15. I have no idea. Party Starter isn't my favorite Will track ever, but it's certainly MUCH better than Switch (in my book). By all rights, if Switch was a Top 5 or 10 (I don't even know) hit, Party Starter should hit #1. But we'll see. :wait: I would guess that to say it will break the Top 20 would be more than realistic, but then again, I don't really know these things...
  16. Sorry to everyone who was thinking out their why-am-i-worthy essay :thatsux: but J5 and I have signed the deal.
  17. By the way, by "win", I actually mean lose (but probably have a pretty good time doing so)
  18. Actually (and I'll probably be alone on this), but I have absolutely no problem with that. If you acknowledge your song is just nothingness in the name of fun, and consciencely don't aspire to anything more... you may not be the most groundbreaking or thoughtful artist if you do that too often, but it's not sinful just to make a song like that-- actually, it can be pretty good. Music can be alot of things, and serve alot of different purposes. (incoherant point, but I hope its somewhat clear lol) Basically, it's like me putting this smiley here for no reason: :french: Pointless, but harmless and possibly fun Oh, French people... How incredibly off topic!
  19. :word: (an affirmation post, the most necessary kind of post there is...)
  20. "Great Expectations" by Jurassic 5 (great trackkkkkkkkkkkkkkk)
  21. That would be me, IN THE DRIVER'S SEAT OF THE PIMPTASTIC FORD TAURUS... (I don't look too happy in this one)
  22. I AM OFFICIALLY SIGNED UP, SANS PARTNER. If you would like to be my partner and therefor win this contest, please send the following request form to scyhigh99@yahoo.com... User Name: First Name: Where You're From: Favorite Clickable Smileys: Why You're Worthy:
  23. I definately think this shouldn't be a problem, b/c even if ppl don't believe in prayer, they can easily be mature and just avoid the thread... As for my personal beliefs, I voted "maybe." I'm kind of a confused person religously, you might say... I have alot of questions and thoughts and so on (but then again most ppl do). I'm actually a practicing Catholic-- a lector at my church, no less-- and I do believe in God, but I'm not sure about the validity of prayer in the sense of asking for things. I pray, but more as a state of reflection and contemplation.. sometimes I throw a request up to God just to see if it sticks lol but theologically and philosophically, I'm not sure I see the sense in it/agree with the possibility of it... The point is, I have no problem with this concept-- I have some things that I definately could use some "prayer power" with-- and AJ, I'll toss up some thoughts and prayers for your situation. Sorry to hear about that...
  24. I'm not the huuuuuuuuuge Eminem hater that alot of ppl here are-- I obviously don't agree with everything he says but... anyways :blabla: I don't see the comparison... like Hero said, Will's flow does sound a bit more "current" on L&F, but... I still don't think that's grounds for any real comparison in any way (and that's about all the analysis I can give for a one-liner joke in the back of a magazine)
  25. Despite what anyone wants to say, I'm convinced this is going to be a great finals series. The best matchup since Bulls-Jazz in '98, in my opinion. And although I too think the Spurs have the edge, you can't count these Pistons out. They're tough, mentally and physically. They play team ball, and they have a couple of guys named Wallace to throw at T-Dunc. We'll see.....
