  1. I think LL Cool J's and Kool Moe Dee's fued waz the best. There waz never a moment where they truely hated each other or took things 2 a violent level. It waz stictly on wax and everything a Hip-Hop battle should be. Since they were also both very talented on the mic and had a similar vibe, it waz like Nas vs. Jay-Z, LL vs. Canibus, or East Coast vs. West Coast where the fueding styles were totally different, and often the talent waz unbalanced. LL and Moe Dee were on the same level. Who can forget the red kangoo getting parked on, on Kool Moe Dee's album cover...ha ha. Classic stuff.
  2. I don't think any of the true skoolers are happy with the commercial image of Hip-Hop and Rap. It's so sad that people like G-Unit and Eminem are totally content with making crappy music and not caring about the music or the listeners at all. It's always refreshing hearing your favorite artists spit on the image of commercial rap...but it's sad that little to no change ever happens.
  3. BRITNEY SPEARS - Someday (I Will Understand) (Japan CD single) (2005) Yes, i'm fully prepared 2 be bombarded about my credibility when it comes 2 my taste in music...but i like this song...ha ha.
  4. I saw him online just yesterday (on my buddy list). Sinced i don't talk on IM 2 much i didn't bother 2 say anything.
  5. She's been working on a new album 4 awhile. Hopefully she's still serious about finsihing it and getting it out. There is no confermation that JJ+FP is involved, but it wouldn't be a surprise if they are.
  6. Congratz! One more member has it. How many more copies do we have 2 find?
  7. Why do people act like Bloodhound Gang is a force 2 be reckoned with. Even if people did listen 2 them, who takes them remotely seriously?
  8. Jeff just needs 2 put that stuff out on CD once and 4 all. He alreays has done official Hip-Hop, House, and R-N-B mixtapes. He needs 2 put out that and The Originals once and 4 all.
  9. fresh prince in jeans....what are u talking about "2002"...music has started sucking more more since the late 90's. The music that gets supported commercially has been suffering 4 a long time. Hip-Hop commercially has turned 2 boring rap music ever since the mid-90's. I think the last 5 years have been tragically worse than ever tho.' Good music still breaks thru' from time 2 time. Alicia Keys for example. FP definitly has a chance with every album he drops. However, the way his lables have screwed him along with how he doesn't schedule wisley dosen't help.
  10. The cassette is the same as the vinyl. Only the CD has the shortened versions. That's why they need 2 release a Special Edition remastered double disc version featuring the un-edited version...not 2 mention tossing on all the vinyl trax like remixes and instrumentals.
  11. Why is it that people in the military insist on taking pictures with guns...then sending them 2 their family and friends?!? It's like, mothers and some friends are trying 2 not think about the danger that their sons/daughters, and friends could be in...and then they get a picture in the mail of them holding guns and crushes their fluffy dream and then get all worked up. I've seen it happen 100 times.
  12. TopDawg...i actually like that song, but the video is awful. I understand that the story is suppoed 2 be touching, but those teenages are so freakin' annoying...and their acting is attrocious (or however u spell that). MARY MARY + KIRK FRANKLIN - And I (selftitled) (2005)
  13. MARY MARY - What Is This (self titled) (2005)
  14. I don't think Lost + Found is dead...and i wouldn't call it a flop either. I do believe we need 2 be the people promoting it tho.' Interscope isn't doing anything, FP isn't either. So it's up 2 us. The album isn't done..but "PS" did nothing.
  15. My thing is this...a remix should either make the song better or put a different twist on the song. These remixes do niether. Sure, they make it more commerical, but they aren't even close 2 being equally good as the album version. When i heard these, i just thought 2 myself "What's the point?" Hopefully hearing the full versions off the CD single on a car stereo will help them not be so boring.
  16. Yeah, He's The DJ, I'm The Rapper is considered the 1st Hip-Hop double album. It all fit on one CD, but Hip-Hop albums were never long as He's The DJ back then.
  17. "Rasta Impasta"'s lyrics are funny...however, the problem with the song is that they use the instrumental to Jay-Z + Foxy Brown's "Ain't No N!**@" instreumental. That just isn't the kinda beat u put under a battle track. I have considered putting the track up. My slow computer might blow up if i'll try...we'll see.
  18. Yeah, i noticed that it looks like a set up where fans can't even get the song out there. I still think it's important 2 spread the word...but once September came, i knew "Party Starter" waz a bad idea. It's tyme 2 drop "Tell Me Why." There's no other way.
  19. He probably dosen't want 2 perform on SNL. It's not like the show is any good. Ashlee Simpson has something 2 prove, so i understand why she's going back...and they need the ratings, so u know this'll drag in ratings.
  20. Thanx 4 the hook up. Both of this are very commercial remixes. It's cool 2 hear the track in a new way, but neither of the remixes do the song justice at all. They are so average, productionwise, they stand up against all the lightweight crap on the radio. The Co-P Remix sounds like FP's mom sent Eminem the acappella and he remixed it in his own crappy way. Shoot, if he can ruin 2Pac's music...he can also ruin FP's...ha ha.
  21. Brakes could probably fill u in on the Canibus stuff. I know he's dissed LL in other trax, but i don't know what waz said or if any full songs were done.
  22. Very cool! I wish i could see that! FP needs 2 drop a verse on Heavy D's new album. It would be rare 2 get that kinda talent on the same track.
  23. D4L - Laffy Taffy It's some awful dirty south rap on BET...it really sucks...trying 2 ignore it.
  24. I don't really like Canibus, so i can't list all the songs he did. I hate this topic cuz me and Brakes always bump heads...ha ha. I ride hard 4 LL and he rides for Canibus. Anways, here we go. LL COOL J feat. Method Man, Redman, DMX, Canibus "4,3,2,1" Off LL's 1997 album Phenomenon. LL believed that Canibus' verse waz aimed towards him, so he re-wrote and re-recorded his 1st back at Canibus. CANIBUS "2nd Round K.O." Canibus put this song out on a comiplation album retaliating against LL. There waz also a video. LL COOL J "The Ripper Strikes Back" LL released this song 2 radio (it later popped up on a limited edition version of DMX's 1st album). 2 me, this song is right up there with "Hit 'Em Up" as the most agressive battle track ever. He also attacks Mike Tyson and Wyclef 4 apparing on the track and in the music video for "2nd Round K.O." WYCLEF "What's Clef (Got To Do With It)" This waz Wyclef asking how he got involved in the feud and dissing LL. This track showed up on his "Cheated (To All The Girls) CD single. His lyrics and production just aren't what u'd expect from Wyclef. This came out in 1998. LL COOL J "Rasta Impasta" I don't know where LL put this track out on. It basically disses Wyclef 4 asking how he got involved since he waz all in the video and the main man behind Canibus' commerical career. WYCLEF "Tony Touch Freestyle" This freestyle waz kinda wack in my opinion...tho' Wyclef is one of the best freestylers i've ever heard. My brother picked up this 2disc Tony Touch underground mixtape. I don't think this freestyle is that easy 2 get a whole of. It came out in 1999. LL COOL J "Back Where I Belong" The song is more about LL getting real gritty and street again with his G.O.A.T. album. But alot of the song disses Canibus.
