  1. Well, right after posting the original post, i turned on the light outside...which would be obvious 2 the bird that waz stuck in my room which waz pitch black. Luckly the bird went 2 towards the light and left. It took my like 20 minutes 2 get in2 my room...i waz like crawing on the floor so it wouldn't freak and fly in2 my face. After sneaking around my room like i waz breakin' in2 my own house, i figured my room waz no longer occupied. However, the bird knocked over pictures of 3 of my friends. And on his way out, he knocked over a picture of me and my ex-girlfriend which waz sitting on top my speaker, right in front of the window. After getting the room in order, i noticed that the picture that me and my girlfriend waz totally missing. Which sucked cuz i cuz i had it in a really cool frame. So, at nearly 3 in the morning, i got outside (which waz very cool...feeling like autumn)...and there it waz, on the ground, fallen from a 2nd story window, but it wazn't banged up at all. However, it made me think that maybe i should put it away...so i did. What have i learned from this? Maybe i need 2 invest in some screens.
  2. Whoa! Pump Ya Breaks!! "Summertime" and Diddy. That's illegal. Don't even play. The only people i would consider perfoming "Summertime" would be LL Cool J or Nick Cannon.
  3. Man, what is the worst thing that could happen at 2 in the morning? I think i've asked myself that many times in life...and 2nite, i have come up with an answer. I waz quietly wasting the evening away when i desided i wanted 2 go up 2 my room and get a CD. As i walked thru' the door and turned on the light, a huge bird freaked out and started flying around in my room. At this point, i realized i shouldn't have left my windows wide open. I did what any sensable person would have done. I turned around, slammed my door, and ran like a girl. Now it's 2 in the morning, i hardly have anything left 2 do 2 entertain me, and there's a freaking bird in my room. Yes, having a bird in your bedroom is the worst thing that can happen at 2 in the morning.
  4. Everlast...House of Pain Everlast...not solo Everlast 95 South or 69 Boyz?
  5. Wow, i'm impressed. Jay-Z actually did something good! Don't knock Rihanna tho'...her album is one of the best one's i've gotten in awhile. U can't put her in the same category as Tierra Maria or Ciara. Naughty Be Nature might be a cool addition 2 Def Jam...interesting idea.
  6. smootb, just give it up. If all u care about is Eminem, visit his message board...not this one. I don't know no Terry Nickles and i don't care what he has 2 say. And like the majority of the replies, it has nothing 2 do with the original topic of this post. Eminem is not the greatest off all time. U act like he can hang on the same level of Run-DMC, Eric B + Rakim, A Tribe Called Quest, LL Cool J, Queen Latifah, JJ+FP, and MC Lyte. That's just not the case and never will be. His lyrics are no longer witty and clever, his voice, delivery, and flow are just obnoxious. If u wanna hear some good Hip-Hop from the last few years, check De La Soul's, Brand Nubian's, Jazzy Jeff's and Fresh Prince's lastest albums. Eminem has nothing 2 do with that. Put the music side by side, there is no comparison. Someone please lock this post!!
  7. Wes, i waz playin'...notice the "LOL" sign. U guys are my boys...so i figured u'd know i waz bein' silly.
  8. BIG DADDY KANE - Looks Like A Job For (da album) (1993)
  9. It's time 2 make moves. We need 2 post this at all the other places that will join in with us 2 get "Party Starter" to number one.
  10. Yeah, there are boring Americans...like Wes and Jim. :lolsign: Jus' playin'. This post has really made me wonder how the rest of the world looks at Americans. I agree that ANYONE ANYWHERE needs 2 travel the world. I think it would really open up people's eyes. I've never left the east coast. One day when i'm more finacially stable, i'm sure i'll do some traveling.
  11. MooseKnuckles, he's been on the Hip-Hop scene commerically for 19 years. He's only been doing real acting for 16. Lastly, let's remember how he's said in countless interviews and songs that he's always considered himself an emcee before an actor. I guess the topic is asking opinions tho.' My ?uestion is this tho'...when did u become a fan of FP? I guess if u didn't get in2 him until the 90's, it would be easier 2 see him as an actor 1st if that's how u were 1st exposed 2 him.
  12. It's crazy 2 think that VH-1 would not want FP there. Either he did invite him and he wazn't interested or couldn't make it....or they have big plans 4 him in the future and want 2 keep in away until they can give him a huge tribute on a future episode.
  13. smootb, u just don't get it. His style, subject matter, and sound is totally different from his early 1st commercial album. He used 2 be good, he used smart, he used 2 be witty. U can't deny fact when it's all on wax. U are fighting an un-winnable war. 1st off, cuz Eminen's music sucks now. 2ndly, becuz the majority of people here don't wanna hear u defend him over and over since most of us don't like him. U are gonna define yourself as "that Eminem person"...and the last person who did something similar ended up getting on everyone's nerves and getting banned. So just let it go.
  14. RAY-J - Raydiation (da album) (2005) I love Ray-J, but i can only give this album 6.5 outta 10. He'll hit u with a dope track...then he'll hit u with a very commercial R-N-B song that just dosen't stand up 2 the good stuff. Oh well, it's good 2 see him back...Brandy, Mya, and R. Kelly are on this album 4 those who care.
  15. The Slim Shady LP = Hip-Hop The Eminem Show, Encore = Trash Different albums by different artists. That's real. Eminem sold out and he's not currently repping Hip-Hop culture...just a bunch of middle America white teenagers.
  16. Yeah, i love the book. I got that when it 1st came out and still pop it open on a regular basis. I think the CD waz okay, but not everything i expected. As a huge 2Pac fan, i'm thinkin' i might get this very soon...even despite that CDnow review. Since it is put 2gether by Afeni, i think it important 2 support the cause.
  17. When they put something in the pop category...they are using "pop" in it's true form....POPULAR MUSIC. Anything successful is considered pop. They aren't saying it's boy band bubble-gum pop by putting him in this category. Don't knock the good exposure.
  18. Yeah, 8 Mile was a HUGE stretch for Em!! (sarcasm intended :) )
  19. The other day when i waz in a record store, i came across the new "2Pac" album "Rose: Vol. 2." It's another installment of his "Rose That Grew From Concrete" series. I know i'll get it at some point becuz it has people like 2Pac, Shock-G, and Yo Yo on it, but i just trying 2 figure out if i should get it now or wait til i find a good deal 4 it online. The art of the new album waz kinda disappointing cuz the original had a slightly artsy vibe. This new one has very boring artwork. It also has explict lyrics...which is wack since 2Pac's poetry didn't have anything explict in it. Another thing that disappoints me is that the only track 2Pac aprears on is with Mephish Bleek...who has no skillz. If anyone has the album or has heard it, let me know how it is. It's on sale for $9.99 at Circuit City 4 the rest of the week. Here's a review from CDnow/Amazon... --- Five years ago, "The Rose That Grew From Concrete Volume 1" was released and met with little fanfare and lackluster sales. The major problem behind the album was it that was simply rappers and other celebrities reciting Tupac's poetry over music or simply as spoken word--apparently the people behind the project thought that the public would embrace such a niche item simply because the man behind the poetry was Tupac Shakur. Not so. There's a reason why an item like this is classified as "niche: The public does not care about poetry. The public especially does not care to hear Danny Glover read poetry. And they sure as hell are not going to pay money for it. Obviously the producers of Volume 2 have chosen to avoid making the same mistake they made with Volume 1. Instead of simply recruiting celebrities to read poetry, they have brought together a group of rappers and singers together to create songs loosely based on Tupac's poetry. Among those showing up for this volume are artists who worked with Tupac during his lifetime, such as The Outlawz, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Shock G (of Digital Underground) and the Boot Camp Clik, as well as a number of today's 'stars' such as Ludacris, Lyfe Jennings, Talib Kweli and Memphis Bleek. The main highlight of the disc is the lead-in track, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's "Power of a Smile", which opens the album up with a bang, as they effortesly mix their patented quick-tongue rapping with a sing-song flow over an epic beat by producers Kush and Kato. Other strong tracks include Tupac-proteges The Outlawz' "When Your Heart Turns Cold", "Where There Is A Will" by the Boot Camp Clik (who recorded the still-unreleased "One Nation" album with Tupac) and the heartfelt "If I Fall" by Dead Prez. This album is not without fault, though. Ludacris' contribution is the uninentionally hilarious "The Depths Of Solitude", a reminder of the failure of Volume 1, as Ludacris laughably attempts to read to poem with passion. Yo-Yo seems particularly out of place with the club-song (?) "Only 4 The Righteous"--perhaps the concept of the album needed to be explained to her a bit more. Another problem I have with the album is not with the content of the album, but the misleading cover art and marketing. Sure, I knew what this album was when I purchased it, but many will not. The front and back cover have pictures of Tupac and the album is listed under as an album by "2Pac" everywhere (including this site), yet he only appears on the chorus of one song. Also, the one thing that describes what this album actually is ("Music Inspired By Tupac's Poetry") is cleverly tilted sideways so as it is hard to read. I seriously doubt any of this was a coincidence. Putting that aside, if you know what you are purchasing I'd advise that you check this album out--just don't expect a new album by 2Pac.
  20. BABYFACE - The Loneliness A Love Story (2003) - Unreleased Grown + Sexy (2005)
  21. Here's my best Michael Jackson impression on a very windy night in a Wal-Mart parking lot. It's so windy, that if i didn't crop the picture in, u'd see my friends hair blowing in the picture (which is still in the left side of the pic). HEE HEE...HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! In retrospective...it almost looks like i'm about 2 perform the world's biggest sneeze.
