  1. I don't think people really appricated 2Pac after his passing. There were Hip-Hop heads who went out and supported him, but mostly commerical music/mainstream fans went out and got his stuff. Me Against The World (his best album) did well when it waz fresh, but it didn't go as far as he wanted. When he passed, Hip-Hop heads who slept on it and bought it, which sky rocked Me Against The World's sales after it has been off the charts for months. Most of the people who made his sales high from that point on just got in2 him cuz of his murder. I'm not saying those people can't be genuin fans, but if u weren't following him while he waz alive, u have no idea what the man waz really like. And all those post-death albums are doctored remixed hodge-podges with not true album concept...u can't get out of them what u could on his real albums. 2Pac is easly the most misunderstood emcee ever. Love him or hate him, most people don't know anything about the man. Back on topic tho'....Jeff loves Biggie's music, he plays it in alot of his sets and has called him out as one of his favorite rappers. FP on the other hand have give 2Pac props numerous times in interviews. They were also friends.
  2. "Superflyman" is rumored 2 be a b-side from FP from 1998/1999. I have the feeling it dosen't exist tho.'
  3. It may have been. I don't think JJ+FP were creating songs and saying "this one is meant 2 be a single" tho.' It waz during "He's The DJ..." that Jive desided they wanted JJ+FP 2 be that "Girls/Parents" and try 2 make them look like they did one thing.
  4. Some people are just stupid. This would be one of those cases.
  5. The murders of 2Pac and Biggie actually helped get FP back in the game, not turn him away. It waz the change Hip-Hop and Rap took in 1992/1993 that killed his dream 4 it. While he liked Dr. Dre's "The Chonic" album, it waz that same album that trashed Hip-Hop/Rap. Nothing but fake ghetto tales and non-talent rappers started coming out. 2Pac's "All Eyez On Me" waz an album FP really admired. Not for the "2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted" stuff that everyone else liked...but 4 trax like "Wonda Why They Call U B!+ch" that actually had tons of subject. During that time when the murders occured, it waz the music of The Fugees, Nas, A Tribe Called Quest, Busta Rhymes, De La Soul that gave him that extra push 2 let him know he still fit in the game. B4 he hated the path the music waz taking, but he saw talented people with something 2 say getting attention and he knew that he could do it. It waz that music that inspired him and that's what got him started on Big Willie Style and actually recording again. If it wazn't 4 their murders, the Hip-Hop community and Rap fans maybe wouldn't have wanted 2 hear something new and not so heavy.
  6. In the early JJ+FP shows, they'd drop a word or 2 u'd never hear on a JJ+FP album. They were young and Hip-Hop shows back then were totally different from how they are 2day.
  7. I've noticed alot of DVD sets being released between 6 months 2 a year after the previous season. It just depends on the company putting it 2gether, the demand 4 it, and the sales.
  8. 1. There were a few short parts in the trailor that wern't in the movie. I guess that just means we can expect some extras on the DVD. 2. I didn't hear FP's voice at the end of the movie. Are u saying u heard it as "Now That We Found Love" waz playing? I'm seeing it again on Thursday so if u tell me where 2 pay attention, i will. Sometimes Heavy's adlibs can sound like FP's adlibs w/ a lower voice. 3. I didn't notice any bloodshot eyes. I did notice that the overall color of the film didn't contrast much. It's a romantic comedy so the shooting style isn't like what he did with stuff like I, Robot and Men In Black. No crazy lighting was used so i think it just made FP come across looking a lil' more natural in his appearance.
  9. I haven't listened 2 the full version in awhile...but i don't remember any of that. I guess i'll have 2 pop it in.
  10. Like most things from Japan, it's pretty rare. I've only seen 2 of them, one of them being the one i own.
  11. The East Coast/West Coast feud started after 2Pac started attacking Biggie in songs, freestyles, and interviews. He said B.I.G. knew that he waz gonna be robbed and shot, but never told 2Pac. He felt betrayed cuz he mentored Biggie and gave him some shine by letting him record a few trax with him and letting him perform at some of his shows. Of course Puffy and Junior M.A.F.I.A. were a part of Biggie's clique, and after Biggie sold out his original style for the commercializm of Bad Boy, he didn't hold any anger back. From there, the Source awards took it 2 another level in which Suge called out Puffy and Bad Boy which turned it in2 a Deathrow/Bad Boy fued. From there, a bunch of other artists jumped in. Like Nas, Jay-Z, Mobb Deep, Tha Dogg Pound, and others. Most of them had no place 2 open their mouth in the 1st place. I never thought Biggie waz a real talent. I'm not insulting him, i just never saw anything that impressive from him and i don't see how people can call him one of the greatest...especially since he waz taken only after dropping 1 album. The East Coast/West Coast feud waz nothing but a big embarassment which lead only 2 violence. I think there waz some good 2 come out of it. It helped do away with gangsta rap. People realized that it waz time 2 grow up and stop being so careless with their music. After all that happened, Hip-Hop got a breath of fresh air. Old skool artists and new new skool artists arrived with some REAL Hip-Hop music and listeners were kinda sick of the harder stuff. Of course alot of mainstream stuff succeeded like Mase and so on...but u gotta take the good with the bad. Sadly, that breath of fresh air didn't last long enuff. By 1999, alot of garbage started emerging again. In recent years, FP, Latifah, and so on have been ignored musically by the mainstream while rubbish from Chingy, Ludacris, Lil' Jon, Lil' Scrappy, G-Unit, and other has gotten popular. Rest In Peace 2 all of Hip-Hop's fallen soilders.
  12. I really don't think it's gonna be another Code Red. But i do think it'll be more like Willennium mixed with a dash of Code Red and a touch of his other albums. I just doubt he'll do something alot like something he's already done.
  13. GINUWINE - Only When UR Lonely (Remix) feat. TIMBALAND Man, this waz Ginuwine's only single from his debut album that wazn't huge. I found this crazy remix Timbaland did 4 the song. It's like finding buried treasure!!
  14. I think FP's grandmother said it best when she said "truely intellegent people don't use words like that." And she's right. Look at artists like 50 Cent, The Game and Ja-Rule. They are not the smartest cats. The majority, if not all of their music has no substance and no wisdom 2 it. U can't get anything out of it cuz they don't have anything intellgent 2 offer. Notice that the smarter artists in Hip-Hop don't rely on cussing. It dosen't mean they are always squeaky clean, but they they don't use explict words as a crutch 2 overshadow their lack of skillz. LL Cool J, Rakim, Heavy D, Run-DMC, MC Hammer, etc have always been my favorite artists since i waz a kid. They made/make music that a young person can grow up on...and music that a older person can vibe off of. Even tho' FP always shrugs it off, he is very intellegent and his entire career reflects that. His music is his only real way 2 get 2 know him, and the music speaks 4 itself.
  15. There are different trax on different versions. I think the US one is the best version (except 4 the fact that it dosen't have "Don't Fight The Feeling." The main differences are that the import (non-US) versions feature singles and remixes not included on our version (Can't Wait To Be With You, I Wanna Rock, The Things U Do). And Japan's version has "Don't Fight The Feeling" as a bonus track where u can't find anywhere else.
  16. There probably isn't gonna be a single 4 it in the US. The US dosen't really have singles anymore. Only very new artists or established artists like Madonna occasionally drop singles. Other than that, we get imports from other countries. And Interscope never drops singles. I highly doubt we'll see a US version of the single.
  17. Yeah, there is actually 3 or 4 versions of the JJ+FP Greatest Hits album.
  18. MARIAH CAREY - Can't Take That Away From Me (Morales Club Mix)
  19. I know SOMEONE has seen this movie. Post your reviews!!
  20. That cover dosn't match the promo single i have on it's way 2 me. The promo dosne't have a cover, but the style of the CD is all white with "Will Smith" in black and "Switch" in red, very basic fonts. Usually the designes and colors are similar...not in this case.
  21. I don't have anything against Justin Timberlake. His solo music has made him proove himself 2 me...but i prefer 2 NOT have him on that album. He should put that song on a soundtrack.
  22. It's amazing what some people consider "gangsta." God forbid FP wear any baggy cloths or a hat 2 da back. As if he hasn't done that his entire career?!? And there's a difference between the ladies u'll find in a FP video and the hoe's u'll find in a Nelly video. The ladies in FP's videos might show some skin from time 2 time, but they are gorgous and are presented tastefully...not strictly objects of lust. When u see a Nelly music video w/ girls, they are unattractive and don't take care of themselves, and they are wearing almost nothing. Reguardless, girls in a music video dosen't mean anything. Look at what some of the girls wore in the "WWW" music video...is that gangsta?!?
  23. Yeah, they did a few trax 4 the album...so we can definitly expect something. The album wouldn't be "found" without him.
