Will freestyling over the "How We Do" beat
JumpinJack AJ replied to Hitch203's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
I don't know anything about the guy...which is understandable since i live in the US. One thing that cracks me up every single time i hear the freestyle is when FP says "Tim Westwood, doin' it good" and he says "Holla!" Hip-Hop is worldwide, but when i hear non-Americans use Hip-Hop slang, it cracks me up...it just dosen't come across right. -
Imports can confuse u. "Just Cruisin'" is on most versions of JJ+FP Greatest Hits. I'ts on the Men In Black soundtrack, and the Trackmasters Remix on is 1 or 2 import (non-US) versions of Big Willie Style. The "Hey Sexy Lady" remix can only be found on ultra rare promo vinyl singles and that rare Sexy Lady Exposion CD. General ?uestion...HOW DO U LOSE A CD?!?

JENNIFER LOPEZ - Rebirth (Album)

U really like those beats? Ugh, from the 2 new songs i've heard, there isn't anything good about the beat. That kinda music isn't even 'produced'...it's 'processed.'

MARQUES HOUSTON + YOUNG ROME - All Because of You

Thanx 4 posting the tracklisting!! I'm hyped 2 hear an R-N-B remix of it!! Since Eminem and 50 Cent are on Interscope, and their import singles are pretty easy 2 find in the US, i'm thinkin' "Switch" should be easy 2 find as well. Is it just me or dose that single cover pic make FP look a lil' drunk?!? I think they could have gotten a better cover 4 the single...at least a more-photogenic moment.

Interscope.com Promoting Lost & Found
JumpinJack AJ replied to fan 4ever's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
They could do more, but at least they are acknowledgeing him as an artist. They aren't 2 fast on the updates. On the same page, they talk about Gwen Stafani's "forthcoming album"....it came out in October or November!! -
I got MTV on... KELLY CLARKSON - Since You Been Gone (not a bad pop rock song) just ended FRANKIE J + BABY BASH - "(whatever his new single is)" (nothing new, but not a bad song...the video makes it better than when i 1st heard it on the radio)

RUN-DMC - Rock Box

They are both jokes. BOTH of them rap like they are sleeping when at the mic. There voice stay on the same note 4 every word they say. Ugly cats with bad, light weight production. They are like cookie-cutter versions of each other and not a bit of talent in site.

My thing is this...people who havn't been submerged in somehing shouldn't judge something. I don't like rock music...so i'm not gonna judge rock artists or their music. That fool who reviewed "Switch" dosen't have any Hip-Hop credibly. That's why he should shut up when it comes 2 Hip-Hop music. Period.

Gizgoogle jazzyjeffreshprince.com..

Everytime i try 2 check that site, it kicks me offline after i read the 1st line. Am i the only person this is happening 2? :nhawong: -
I didn't watch them either...they usually bore me outta my mind. But i also checked the winners after they were over. When i saw Jamie Foxx won best actor, i waz so happy. He deserve all the good things that come his way. Have u seen his new special on Comedy Central, featuring urban comics? Check if u can, cuz they are hilarious. Did I, Robot or Sharktale win that Special Effects award? I waz assuming Spider-Man would get it but i really wanna know. If someone saw them televised, let us know what scenes they aired when mentioning the movies.

It's kinda funny, cuz i actually followed a few of his guest appearances in the late 90's, and i loved "Wanksta" when it came out. Then i heard more of his music, i thought it waz wack so i ignored him. Next thing u know, he's the hottest thing. After tons of overexposure, i think he's one of the least talented people ever, and his music is just bad, no matter how u look at it. People who live like that always pay 4 it. Right now he's dealing with loneliness, but if he keeps neglecting the important things in life, his life is gonna crash. I don't wish that on anybody, but this interview amazed me.

2nite i waz chillin'...nothing 2 do. And while i waz channel flippin' i came across MTV's special on 50 Cent. I figured, if i'm gonna talk so much trash on the guy, i should watch a long interview and make sure i knew what i was talking about. I watched almost of it and i was highly discusted. Sway, an intellegent Hip-Hop expert, was asking him all these ?uestions and 50 Cent sounded slightly offended by many of the ?uestions and got kinda defensive. He was so full of pride. He admitted 2 dissing Fat Joe, Jadakiss, and R. Kelly simply cuz they did songs with Ja-Rule. He waz all proud of that but only made himself look like a fool. He thought he was really clever by attacking other artists/businessmen who worked with someone he's having an immature fued with. He then talked about buying Mike Tyson's old house which has 18 bedrooms. Right after that he talked about being alone and not taking care of his son. How ignorant is that?!?! When Sway asked him about his son, 50 said that he supports him financially but that it isn't there 4 him. He blamed it on his work. Jazzy Jeff, Fresh Prince, LL Cool J, Eminem, Salt, Pepa, Babyface, TLC, Montell Jordan, Snow, all those artists, big and small, old and new, all have kids that they take care off. There is no excuse to put your career so infront of your family that u can't raise your own son when they need u the most. Sway took the interveiw to family and he said he didn't have any. He talked about all of this with a smile on his face. He has a son and an 18 bedroom house...and he's saying he has no family. Sway even said that when he talked to Eminem, who loves his daughter, but has a failed relationship and a falling out with both parents, admitted to feeling sad and empty at times becuz of his family situation. I think Eminem's more current music is trash, but when i see stuff like that, i have sympathy 4 the man he is. But i look at 50 and his attitude and it makes me sick. Of course he always talked about music. He only talked about it as a business. Never once did he talk about Hip-Hop, art, poetry or anything like that. All he talked about waz fame and record sales. Now, more than ever, i'll say that 50 Cent is a discusting person and that his career will fall in the upcoming years. His music is trash, his lyrics are pointless, his voice is annoying, his flow is boring, he stays in shape so that females don't realize how ugly he is. He is a poor excuse for a human being and when this sucka's fame disappears, i'll feel that commercial rap has taking steps towards healing, even if it hasn't. And he can take G-Unit and The Game with him.

My friend saw Hitch 2nite...which she loved. The guy behind the counter gave her a free ticket 2 see Dieary of A Mad Black Woman. She said she liked a few parts of it. She also said she didn't like some of it and that parts of it seemed like they were ripping off Eddie Murphy movies.

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air on Nick At Nite. They are airing a block of episodes from the 1994 era.

The DEFinition isn't a flop at all. People are just used 2 those commercial rap albums that sell millions. So when an album dosen't do 5 million copies, mainstreamers consider it a flop. That writer is kinda stupid. LL hasn't commented on the album's sales or called it a flop. The writer just wanted 2 say that cuz writers are always overcritcal with people like LL and FP. LL took action cuz he felt it waz neccesary...not cuz of album sales. "Fatty Girl" is a good track, but definitly not amongst his best. I think LL really out-shined Keith Murray (who i love) and Ludacris.

:hilarious:  :hilarious:  :hilarious: That is the guy who reviewed "Switch"!??!?!?!?!?!?? :hilarious: Man, i'm tellin' u, that guy IS Hip-Hop!! :hilarious: That guy looks like a Hip-Hop historian if i've ever seen one. On the real, how is that guy gonna know the 1st thing about Hip-Hop?? Thanx 4 posting his picture, that made this whole thing 100 times funnier.

It's there really any 'gangsta rap' anymore?? I don't think so. 50 Cent + G-Unit, The Game, that stuff isn't gangsta rap. It's just common, meaningless rap music with no Hip-Hop or feeling 2 it. It's not 'gangsta' at all. N.W.A. waz 'gangsta.'

"Ghostwriting" is where u have people write songs for you and make it look like your own and talking all the credit. With the solo albums, FP did have some co-writers on a few trax...but not ghostwriters. Check the credits, u'll see the trax that Nas co-wrote on Big Willie Style, the trax Common Sense co-wrote Willennium, and the trax Kel Spencer co-wrote for Willennium and Born To Reign. I personally don't like the idea of people co-writing some of his songs, but with the JJ+FP albums and the other trax on his solo albums, it's easy 2 see FP has the skillz. He works with peers and people he's close 2. It's not like he's saying "hey dog, co-write this song with me, i need help." When u have friends who do the same thing u do, it's fun 2 create stuff 2gether. When i used 2 write alot, there were times when me and my cousin would write songs 2gether. It waz fun, not cuz i or he couldn't do it on our own. Now i do alot of acting. When i thinkin' about how i'm going 2 do a scene, if i'm doing it with close friends, we work 2gether and let our chemistry take it 2 that next level. That's what makes me not look at FP co-writing with other people as a taboo. He has talked about it in interviews and credits the people who work with him, he's not trying 2 cover it up or anything. Besides, look at the people he desided 2 work with....THEY HAVE SKILLZ. Now if he waz working with The Game or Lil' Jon, then i'd be worried. It's becuz of people like Fresh Prince, that talented up-comers like Kel Spencer are getting paid. Kel's solo career hasn't sparked yet and his album never came out...but since he did some work on "Switch," he'll be getting some money outta it's success. It also got his 3rd Power Music Group some attention. I think that the whole Lost + Found era has FP coming full circle tho.' Kel Spencer is probably the only real lyrical sidekick.

I gave The Game's album a listen in the record store. I thought 4 or 5 of the beats were good, but that's it. The Game has no talent and no flow. 50 Cent is the same way 2 me. Garbage, no matter how u look at it. People won't remember this kinda music the way they do Rappers Delight, The Show, U Can't Touch This, Summertime, They Reminisce Over You, Award Tour, and so on.

Man, that's not cool. I'm thinkin' this is more of a business move. LL actually grew up with the 4 main guys behind FUBU. I agree that LL probably dose deserve more than what he got from them. LL Cool J is how i found out FUBU existed and part of the reason i wear it (i used 2 wear it ALOT in the 90's). That FUBU CD also didn't have much talent on it. I almost bought it, but then i saw the awful line up of artists. With out LL involved, i don't thing "Fatty Girl," the only hit off it, would have done as much damage as it did. Instead of getting the album, i found a promo CD single online and bought that.

HA HA!! That is hilarious!! I figured it would be a waste of time 2 reply 2 this post...but now that i see that the people behind the reveiew checked this post out, it makes me wish i spoke my mind. :thumb:

Right now i'm listening 2 some really annoying oldies. I like oldies from the 60's and 70's...especially the slightly bubble gum Brill Building stuff of the 60's. I love Motown and classic soul. But that's not what i'm listening 2 right now. My dad is in the other room cleaning and felt it necessary 2 pump up the oldies...the kind i don't like. :sad6:
