1. It's already been posted. This time around, Eminem makes Ja-Rules and 50 Cent's music actually sound good. The song is pure unadulterated garbage.
2. Thank GOD!!! I can't wait 4 her 4 her 2 drop that Hip-Hop. I've heard 2 trax off the other album and it's the last thing i want from her.
3. The ONLY reason some rappers attack him is cuz he's a pioneer who is still doing his thing and succesfull. Since he takes the high road of not dissing others and keeping his music respectful by leaving out cussing and graphic detail in his rhymes, they see him as an eazy target. Since he had a hit TV show and has an explosive movie career, it also makes him an eazy target cuz everybody knows who he is, and as an emcee, he has so many other things going on, he can't spend all his time in the lab anymore.
4. After having the soundtrack 4 nearly a week, i like it alot more. I guess since i know what 2 expect, it's different. I still think Jo Jo and Avant's trax are the best on the album. Also, i saw the Pussycat Dolls (from the soundtrack) perform on some fashion award show last nite...and they actually can rock a song in performance. They still have the weakest song on the soundtrack tho.' I still can't wait 2 see the movie tho' cuz i think i'll bring more out of the soundtrack 4 me.
5.
He's the first out the limo, not first on the limo ;)
:::laughs at the idea of Charlie Mack being strapped 2 the top of the limo:::
6. Freestyling is a dope talent 2 have, but real music is alot more important 2 me. Freestyles are only dope 4 so long. When it comes 2 creating songs, there's lots of thought, art, creativity, and time put in 2 it. By creating a song, u are saying "this is what i have 2 offer." Freestyles usually never have a strong focus on the subject matter and since they are off the top of that head, nothing that impressive is being said. Writing songs has so much more soul and poetry in it. Of course many popular rappers don't even think about the actistic side of writing anymore, but true skoolers havn't 4gotten about that. As an emcee, i feel freestyling is only an accessory talent, while making good music and writing good songs is the main focus.
7.
aj i think you missed my point is was just an observation nothing more,it wasn't about will doing something for a particular race , i was reading the faces behind the posts and was wondering how come there wasn't more african americans on this board who post regularly
I understand the curiosity. It's the idea of promoting amoungst the "African American" community that's rediculous 2 me. Either u are down 4 promoting FP or u aren't. It's kinda silly 2 limit who u'd like 2 expose 2 his art.
8.
I have a feeling Shark Tale is going to get a lot of bad press here in the U.S. There was a big stink I read in the Chicago Sun-Times saying the movie depicts Italian-Americans in a distasteful light and it is racist. I've also heard that the dialogue in the movie is too explicit for kids. They're also trying to compare this movie to Finding Nemo when everyone involved with Shark Tale has said that this movie is not even remotely close in comparison to Finding Nemo. Oh well, I fear the trashing of the movie will begin... :dunno:
I think the whole stereotype thing is just part of the movie and some people are just looking 4 something 2 complain about. This movie isn't out 2 stereotype people...it's taking from past movies and the way things are and putting it in2 an animated movie. Sensetive losers!! If the dialog is borderline, then it's clearly a movie aimed at teenagers...which means it'll get the proper rating. They aren't gonna try 2 put teenage humor or adult themes in a movie, THEN try 2 make it go over as a kids movie. And the whole Finding Nemo thing is just a stupid assumption. Just like MIB and ID4...people thought they were gonna be the same but they definitly aren't. Only knowing the basic storyline seperates the movies in a big way. I have a feeling that unlike Finding Nemo, i'll be able 2 watch SharkTale without getting bored.
9. Ha...things don't look good. I think it's safe 2 say that JJ+FP will keep working 2gether...but a full length album under the JJ+FP title seems unlikely. 2 me, it almost looks like something they both wanna do but with their individual schedules and the way the industry is set up, they probably don't actually think they can pull it off. I think everybody would be surprised at the outcome tho.'
10. That Sway + King Tech track "The Anthem" is dope. It's like the last time u could take Eminem seriously. Chino XL did spit that line saying "you're wack like Will Smith, your rhyme style is pansy." Chino XL actually dropped 2 good singles in the mid-90's (the 2nd one is titled "Kreep"). Havn't heard anything from him since "The Anthem." I thought he waz alright when he 1st came out but his weak jab at FP did decrease my intrest in him.
11. Welcome 2 the board!! This is definitly the place 2 be. No other places on the internet will have this kinda group of people.
12. Let me just say that Big A has steadily turing in 2 nhawong. Part of my can laugh at the comments assuming they were supposed 2 be funny...but overall they are just ignorant. Back on the main topic. No offense lambert, but this topic is insanely stupid. FP dose what he dose 4 the people...not 4 a certain "race."
13.
The instrumental gives you a real chilled out vybe! Nice to listen to!
...in the summertime that is.
14. I waz starting 2 think Eminem might start fixing his career and music with the upcoming album. I guess not. Trash is all he has 2 offer. Maybe his fanbase (an army of central american middle schoolers) will finally realize they are supporting an i-d-i-o-t.
15. If u want the instrumental...it's on the single. It's not 2 hard 2 find it online.
16. FP's support is universal. His fanbase is ages, colorless, and has no real stereotype. Off the top of my head, the regulars on this board are actually pretty even.
17. I agree with what u had 2 say TopDawg...the industry is full of studio gangstas. They act all hard when they are in front of a mic, but they are totally different in person. NWA is what i would consider actual "gangsta rap"...and not many other artists deserve 2 be included in that genre. NWA waz hardcore Hip-Hop talking about real life and their enviornment. The difference is, they were really around it and calling for a change. These other fools are just talking about drugs and violence cuz they think it's cool. They hardly know what they are talking about and they do it just 2 flaunt it...not cuz they are calling 4 change or 2 stress an idea. We can also mention that there is a difference between selling drugs 2 get by and selling drugs 2 be rich. Let me take a line from The Italian Job and say do what u do 2 enrich life...not 2 define it. When 2Pac talked about the negative aspects of life, he waz bringing it 2 people's attention calling 4 change or saying this is what people gotta do 2 get by. These new guys just talk trash with on substance 2 it. People who listen 2 that music aren't getting anything out of the music but phoney idols and negative vibes.
18. Man, Eminem's music is the perfect personification downward spiral of quality ever in Hip-Hop. It's kinda like a flushing toilet, however, i wouldn't throw his current stuff in the toilet (it may offend my toilet). He came out so ill....but now he makes me ill. He once said that he often chooses his 1st single as the song on his album that annoyes the crap out of him the most...well, he'll be annoying many people with this one. I just think it's funny that he dissed MC Hammer for his late-80's party-pop style...and now he's doing the same thing...except he sucks at it. He needs 2 run back 2 Dr. Dre fast cuz running to a kindergarden class 2 producer your 1st single is a stupid move.
19. Brand Nubian "Everything Is Everything" album from 1994...back when Hip-Hop waz solid and no so hard 2 come across.
20. I don't see what's so creepy about the R. Kelly comment. Everybody has done at least one stupid thing in their life. R. Kelly is a celebrity and happens 2 have it on tape (if that's him) so it's gonna get lot of attention. There's people who do worse things everyday but since they aren't celebrities, we don't care. People wanna work with R. Kelly cuz he's a musical genious as a singer, songwriter, and producer...why is that hard 2 see. People work with him cuz he's a talented entertainer...not cuz of the controversy.
21. Oh yeah...and Shawn Stockman wrote and produced for Tatyana Ali for her 1998 album Kiss The Sky also featuring production by A Touch of Jazz and a remix cameo by Fresh Prince.
22. In more recent trax, FP mentions Charlie Mack on "Miami" and the Willennium "Interlude." They also refer 2 him on those Big Willie Style interludes. Within the last month there's been a post or 2 about Charlie Mack. He's FP's bodyguard and bizness potna from way back in the day who is currently back in Philly taking care of his family and community.
23. No biggie, those other ones posted above are great. If there's any chance your versions would be better, by all means, feel free 2 post your own. :music:
