1. If this is true, i wouldn't call it good newz or bad newz. However, Interscope hasn't had any big players since the mid-90's. They've turned in2 a label that only distributes smaller labels. Nothing special about Interscope at all. If they just distribute Overbrook, and FP stays as an Overbrook artist, that would be cool.
2. Welcome 2 the board!! As a new member, we'll 4give u for asking about the new single. "Switch" is the planned new single from his album slated 2 drop in January. "Got To Be Real" is the new song he did with Mary J. Blige on the Shark Tale soundtrack.
3. I think the site would be mentioned on the shirt...but i think it should take a backseat 2 JJ+FP. If i wore a JJ+FP shirt, i would wear it cuz it would be a fly JJ+FP shirt...i don't wanna be a walking advertisment 4 the site...know what i mean. I definitly think the shirt would look best in black. The Code Red JJ+FP logo would look great huge on the back or small on the front or sleeve(s). If there were an actual picture of them on it, i think it should be really modern but not 2 candid. The only problem is, there hasn't been any studio pictures of them taking since 1993/1994.
4. Yeah, Heavy D + The Boyz' "The Lover's Got What You Need" is the 1st song that comes 2 mind when i think of that sample. The beat is definitly much better than "Freakin' It." I can't think of any songs off the top of my head that use it, but i know i've heard it (or various versions of it) over and over again. The only song i can think of that is sampled more would be "Lovely Day."
5. Definitly. People post all the news articles in the forums above anyway. These days i struggle 2 find time 2 visit the board and with so many different forums, i think a few of them could be combinded. I only visit 4 of them on a regular basis so i think it would be more organized 2 combine some of them and it'll also save the time of those who got lives 2 live. I think it would make sense 2 combine the audio forums as well.
6. I waz hoping so. I don't VHS's are gonna fade for quite sometime tho.' DVD is taking over but i think VHS will still be relevant 4 awhile. Anybody still have Beta?
7.
Just the two of us
Man...who sings "Just The Two of Us? :what:
8. Don't 4get, y'all. It starts 2nite at 10. What's cool is that they will be playing the segments at the same time as The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. U can expect lots of FP humor. One of the clips had FP talking 2 the rediculous dolphin interviewer and he said "i told u not 2 make me cry" as he waz grabbing for tissues.
9. I didn't even know VH-1 did an A to Z on our boy. I'll have 2 check 4 it...even tho' those A To Z specials are usually stupid...yet entertaining.
10. VHS...as in video tapes. There's standard VHS like in the US, but theirs also PAL VHS which only play in certain places in the world. I have a Will Smith and TLC music video in PAL format so i've never seen them.
11. I guess the 1st thing 2 do would be 2 design what's on the front and back, see what people think, and then go from there. The quality vs. price is another issue. If the image would start 2 fade after the 5th wash. I know someone who has company that prints up shirts but i'm not sure of what all they can do, i've only seen them do simple shirts with basic print on them.
12. I had 2 keep it real and vote "probably not" only becuz i'm picky about what i wear. If i wore a JJ+FP shirt, it would have 2 look fly and i don't think we have the money 2 put towads a shirt and design that would look good enuff 4 my personal taste. The best bet of me getting a shirt would be if it waz put out thru' JJ or FP's camps. I didn't get the ATOJ gear tho' cuz last time i checked, they didn't have a pic of the actual merchandise.
13. No doubt...we all make mistakes or take on more than we can handle. Living and learning is a talent only some people are smart enuff 2 accomplish. FP is definitly a good example of someone who learns from their mistakes. However, i think IRS trouble is alot more respectable than drug addiction and stuff like that. Something like having trouble taking care of your money after making lots of it is something alot people might experience. We aren't exactly taught how 2 watch our expences when going thru' something like that. Drugs and alcohol are a totally different thing. Everybody knows they can be addicting (2 the weak IMO) and that they can screw up your life. I have alot less pity 4 people in that situation. They should know better and they still mess up their lives. Anybody else feel me on this subject!?
14. I don't like the idea of banning people...but he seemed 2 wanna push all the wrong buttons just 2 get attention. He's annoyed people in the past and he's doing it again. I don't like the way it went down, but i don't think the decision waz uncalled 4.
15. That's hilarious. Gee, i guess FP can do whatever he wants in Hollywood. I guess he waz taking some good advice tho' since lots of kids are gonna check the movie.
16. Black Eyed Peas - Sumthin For That @$$
17. Well, most of us weren't living with during the lives of any of these people, most of us aren't educated on most of these people and they have nothing 2 do with each other.
18. Thanx!!....but what's the source!! FP dropping more knowlege.
19. I've never heard anyone every say anything bad about "Brand New Funk." It's classic old skool Hip-Hop in it's hay day. It personifies live show performance songs. It's not missing anything. It's got flawless rhymes and delievery, amazing turntablism, and incredible beatboxing on the live version. None of the mainstream attractions u find in "Girls..." or Parents..." are there and FP even drops most of his comic relief on this one 2 just tear up the mic. FP knows it's on of the cornerstone trax of JJ+FP's career, that's why they still perform it. Like "Summertime"...nobody knocks this joint.
20. What's NOT strange about "What's your favorite non-violent person"????
21. ...yeah, but that beat has been used over 100 times in Hip-Hop...no exageration. What that song really needed waz a remix...and NOT that House Mix on the singles.
22. "Who Stole My Car" is probably one of my top favs on the album. "Men of Your Dreams" is also hilarious.
