During interviews that he did during the release of Willennium, he said he'd only collaborate with artists who were intellegent enuff 2 participate on his album without cussing. FP has high standards 4 his music. A few of his collaborations have artists that simply aren't on his level, he's not gonna let them trash his album up 2 bad.

I'm not dissing Nelly cuz of this line, i diss him cuz his music is garbage. However, this line is just ignorant. How is he gonna associate himself with a verteran in Hip-Hop who has stayed busy 4 years by being a positive person?

Thanx 4 this feel-good newz. U know how Will says music, movies, and entertainment are a stepping stool 4 his greater calling in life? This is what he means. Don't get me wrong, i live 4 his music, but using his talent, skillz, and power as an entertainter 2 step beyond entertainment 2 help make a differerence in peoples lives...that's what it's all about. That what he means when he say "Born To Reign."

I waz watching 106 + Park and Lil' Romeo's new video hit number 9. Nick Cannon produced the beat. At 1st i thought it waz really light weight, but by the middle of the song i loved the beat. He then speeds up and samples the hook from Shai's early 90's R-N-B classic "If I Ever Fall In Love." I'm a big Shai fan myself and wazn't offeneded at all that he used it cuz it comes across real nice. Nick in the background and lip syncing the chorus. :roll: Tatyana Ali also has a cameo in it...looking as good as ever. I didn't really pay attention 2 Lil' Romeo...but check the song.

Well, if u read the 1st post, u'll see that A Touch of Jazz produced most of the album...and this is the DJ Jazzy Jeff forum. Boyz II Men are also cool with FP and have given him props in CD inserts b4. We also can't forget their appearance on a Christmas episode of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Boyz II Men and JJ+FP are kinda tight knit.

I don't think Nelly is trying 2 diss Will, but he shouldn't step on his name like that. Fresh Prince = Born To Reign Nelly = Born To Shame

They never air this episode cuz it's not really an episode. I think it waz put 2gether 2 celebrate the 100th episode. I have it on tape somewhere. And yeah, they premiered "Boom! Shake The Room" on the show.

What are u talking about?!? The guys write most of their material (and 4 other artists), they produce and they've got some of the best voices in R-N-B. R-N-B groups almost never harmonize anymore. These guys are one of the only groups who keep the roots of R-N-B music true 2 what they should be.

Nelly is so stupid. FP should indirectly poke fun at him on his new album 4 that line.

CDs and DVDs almost never come out on non-Tuesdays. I highly doubt FP would screw up stores and shipping 2 get the single out on a certain day. If there is any truth 2 this, it's probably just the day he'd release the video. Keep in mind we can't expect 2 much without proper backing from a bigger label.

There is an episode were Jazzy Jeff takes u behind the scenes. It's filled with backstage footage and an intro 2 the show. It's funny cuz Jeff hosting it is kinda done thru' skitz of him sneaking backstage and b4 each commercial break, he gets throw off the set. The 1st time it's out the door...but by the end of the show, he gets throw over the NBC sign and off the lot. DVD sets usually have that kinda stuff, i'm sure it'll be put on as a bonus with whatever season it waz done wit.

I've known he dosen't know how 2 swim 4 a long time...but what cracks me up is that he's had a pool for YEARS. :roll: I just kinda hang out in the water...i don't really have any motivation 2 actually swim. I can do it, i'm just not technical about it.

There's other artists i like on that soundtrack but i'm just gonna wait. I hate sitting at a computer 2 listen 2 music...that's just stupid 2 me. I've heard the new FP joint so that's all i need since the soundtrack drops next week.

Jazzy Jeff also put him on "The Vibe I'm On" which came out nearly a year b4 Eminem dropped "My Name Is..." I don't see his line a way of give JJ+FP props at all. They get tossed in that group of people like MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice when it comes 2 Hip-Hop/Rap acts of the late 80's that got tons of mainstream success. Eminem dissed most of those guys (not JJ+FP tho'). The lyrics strictly seem like a way 2 mention JJ+FP and 2 take it back 2 when he started rappin.' That's just me tho.'

I think Eminem only made the reference 2 JJ+FP becuz Jazzy Jeff produced the track and as a way 2 say it waz in their late-80's hay-day when he got interested in Hip-Hop. JJ+FP have the kinda problems that every group has from time 2 time, like creative differences and having different opinions on where the group should go but they never had a real fall out. Eminem dosen't know what he's talking about. I asked Keith Pelzer who waz working at A Touch of Jazz at the time what Jeff thought about lines like that and he said Jeff dosen't pay attention 2 that stuff at all. Besides, he didn't hear the lyrics until the vocals were layed down. I'm sure u've heard "Potnas"...i think that pretty much sums everything up.

I think i lost them...b4 i left 4 class, i opened the back door and slammed it. All them flew away...it waz insane watching all those birds fly in the same direction...one of them slammed in2 a window...i think he waz going for my face.

I just woke up a lil' bit ago, showered, and came down here 2 check mail and the board. I looked out the window 2 my back yard and literally like 1,000 birds were in it. The stange thing is, they are ONLY in my yard...right where the bondry is, is where they stop. I'm kinda scared 2 go out 2 my car 4 class, they might attack me or pick me off and fly me away. I just wanted 2 post this incase that happens and i never get 2 post again. If i do get carried away, get dropped off, lost, and die, someone please request 2 JJ+FP that i want them 2 record a song in my memory called "1,000 Birds."

Yeah, this remix is the real deal, but it waz never released on any singles or promo singles. I'm still wondering how it got out 2 be put on a few mixtapes. I love that remix but chances are we'll never find the official presssing 4 a good quality verison of it.

You are probably talking about Marcus. He's the one who handled all of the online stuff for Kel's camp. I got "The Streets Know That" single along with 4 freestyles on it, but not the album. Me and Marcus talked 4 awhile but i havn't talked 2 him since late last summer or last fall. I was hoping 2 get the album off him but i'm not having any luck getting thru' 2 him. I'm guessing his e-mail address has changed. Kel Spence is alot more talented than u'd ever know from his work with FP. He truely could have been the next big thing in Hip-Hop since Rakim.

3Cookies hasn't listened 2 any new music. Every since September 1997, the only song she has ever listened 2 is "Chasing Forever." At the moment, i'm listening 2 Public Enemy "Game Face."
