It's not that big of a deal here when we are sharing with each other...but some people will share and give stuff away 2 anybody. Back when Napster waz big...FP's stuff waz all over the internet. Born To Reign waz easy 2 download also and look at how it did. Reguardless of the promotion and the musical experiments, there is no excuse 4 those kinda sales from a vet who's been successfull 4 so many year. I think it's quite obvious when artists like Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Toni Braxton, and TLC are barely (or not even) hitting platnium that there is something wrong. -
Dead weight is no fun. Maybe if they got e-mails from the board saying that their membership will be terminated due 2 lack of activness, it might get a few of them posting.

The Eminem topic is old and beaten 2 death. All i can say is this...the Eminem 2004 isn't the Eminem of 2000.

I only download unathorized stuff. DJ-made remixes, interviews, live performances. Downloading album music is wack and wrong....period. -
VH-1 is giving props 2 Hip-Hop this October. I'm not totally sure about the dates...but i think something like Hip-Hop Week starts October 4th...and then on the 12th they are having VH-1's Hip-Hop Honors where they are paying tribute and/or giving awards, and featuring 2 Run-DMC, Kool Herc, Grandmaster Flash, 2Pac, and more. Keep in mind that VH-1 started out as a network for an adult contemporary audience and has gotten hipper thru' out the 90's 2 what they are like now. They would have never touched Hip-Hop so this is actually kinda cool. And they definitly will do a better job than MTV would.

I waz listening 2 The Roots "Things Fall Apart." It waz kinda funny. I waz over at my friend's house. She's a blue eyed blonde from Alaska. I've only ever heard her listening 2 rock music and hasn't been exposed 2 real Hip-Hop culture or music ever. I waz going thru' all her music cuz she told me 2 put somethin' in....out of all these rock CDs...she had The Roots. I flipped out and popped it in. It waz just so funny 2 me that she had it.

It sounds like a really cool accomplishment, but when only a few of those people post, it kinda ruins it. After a year of enactivity, i think those peeps should get kicked out as a member.
have you heard the lyrics to The Real SLim SHady he disses the hell outa WILL.
Not exactly...one indirect diss at Will from a rapper u can't take 2 seriously dosen't make 2 much noize amoungst people over the age of 17.

I checked that when i saw this post...but it wazn't anything associated with him. -
I waz hopin' for "Switch" comin' out by now...but i didn't totally expect it. All of Will's music projects get bumped back. This isn't anything new. I've gotten past the point where i expect it 2 drop any day. It'll drop when it drops...i'm not 2 excited anymore. I know i will be when it drops but until then, there is no point buggin' out about it. I'm tired of seeing "Switch" topics poppin' up on the board when there isn't anything new 2 say about it.

Here's my review... SEAN PAUL + ZIGGY MARLEY "THREE LITTLE BIRDS" Nice cover. I'm a fan of Sean Paul and of Ziggy Mareley (from the songs i've heard in the past). The production puts a new edge on this Bob Marley classic but there's nothing about it that goes above and beyond standard expectations. CHRISTINA AGUILERA + MISSY ELLIOT Here's a dancable pop/R-N-B cover of a classic. Missy produced it so i waz expecting a lil' more on the production tip. It's not bad, just not incredible either. Christina sounds great as usual. JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE + TIMBALAND "GOOD FOOT" Nice beat from Timbaland...not as good as the stuff on his albums or albums he executive produces. Justin's verses are weak but the hook is nice. JO JO "SECRET LOVE" Ahhhh...now this is the 1st stand out track on the album. Jo Jo sounds incredible (as she dose on her own album). The production is flawless. Perfect mid-tempo radio-friendly R-N-B track. I LOVE THIS ONE!!! D12 "LIES & RUMORS" The beat is fun but it's not that good. Most of their flows are wack as ever but at least they aren't trying 2 be hard. The hooks is 4gettable. No Eminem in site either. MARY J. BLIGE + WILL SMITH Ya'll have heard this one. Nice recreation of a classic. Mary J. Blige covers it perfectly by staying true 2 the original. FP's rap is kinda short and kinda lazy...but it's still good. I thought this would hold me over until the new album...i waz wrong, this song dosen't do anything big 4 me right now. Compared 2 "Boy You Knock Me Out" and "Hey Sexy Lady"...this would be his weakest cameo. AVANT "CAN'T WAIT" Yeah!!! This is the 2nd stand out track 4 me. Standard smooth R-N-B production with Avant bringing flawless R-N-B vocals. I love Avant and he definitly has one of the best trax on the album. LUDACRIS, BOBBY V, + LIL FATE "GOLD DIGGER" I didn't expect 2 like this track cuz of who it's by but it's pretty good. Ludacris just overdose that dirty south thing which makes me ignore him these days...but this track is good. INDIA.ARIE "GET IT TOGETHER" PERFECT!! Man, i love this song. It's off her last album so i've been in love with it for about 2 years. Glad 2 see it get some new life by being put on this soundtrack. Amazing song. THE PUSSYCAT DOLLS "WE WENT AS FAR AS WE FELT LIKE GOING" Here's a fun disco-pop joint. The song is alot of fun but not something i'll be listening 2 very often. FAN_3 "DIGITS" This song is crazy...i love it. The production has this crazy pop-rap vibe. It's like a live Hip-Hop show meets live rock show vibe. The emcee on the track is the best female emcee i've heard since the '80's. The energy and lyrics just take me back 2 a better time in Hip-Hop. I'll definitly be checking for Fan_3's album. CHERYL LYNN "SWEET KIND OF LOVE" Dance-R-N-B song. Good song but kinda forgettable. Overall, i think the production 4 most of the trax is kinda weak but the talent is pretty good overall. I'm getting kinda sick of artists covering songs, so all the covers on this soundtrack didn't help my personal opinion on it. This soundtrack is the kinda album i can only listen 2 when i'm in the mood 4 it. It's looking like a pretty forgettable album but i'm hoping that seeing the movie will breathe more interest in it 4 me when i see it. My top joints are... Jo Jo "Secret Love" Avant "Can't Wait" India.Irie "Get It Together" Fan_3 "Digits" Mary J. Blige + Will Smith "Got To Be Real" Christina Aguilera + Missy Elliott "Car Wash" Ziggy Marley + Sean Paul "Three Little Birds" Oh yeah, and Kel Spencer is mentioned in the Thank Yous!!

I´ve got a little question for you

The term Big Willy has been around since '93ish. I just think it's strange that nowadays everybody associates it with Will Smith. -
Welcome 2 the board!! It's great seeing old skool fans poppin' up in here.

Nothings confirmed...but at this rate, we have no idea when the new album is dropping. Since this soundtrack will probably be pretty big, millions of people are gonna be hearing this new track b4 the new album drops. Since they play the song in the credits, it probably is planned 2 be a single. But either way, this'll be the 1st time alot of people hear from the Fresh Prince in a long tyme.

The Sharktale soundtrack is out 2day. Most of y'all know that but this is just a reminder AND 4 all those lurkers and non-posters who don't know. Be sure 2 check out FP's 1st new track in 2 years!!

Jazzy Jeff's "In The House" Out Now
JumpinJack AJ replied to WildWildWillennium's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
What's the deal with this House album?? Is it a compilation or an album he and ATOJ have put 2gether? October 18th...is it gonna be dropped worldwide?? -
No, Will is rappin' too less, just a lil' small part :sad6:
I think it's perfect. This is a Mary J. Blige song feat. FP...not the other way around. Since he is about 2 make a big music comeback, i think this is the perfect way. He should save a full track 4 the 1st single of his album, not a soundtrack. Besides, unlike "Black Suits Comin'," this track is pretty much guarenteed 2 be a long-term hit, not a 3 week hit.
