I love Paris' song "Days of Old"...i think the rest of his 1992 album waz kinda average. Havn't heard anything other than his 1992 album (which i own). "Days of Old" is a classic tho." I remember seeing the music video YEARS ago.

That version is one different versions of the single. So i just listed all the time lengths. Also, if i'm making a mix-CD and i'm counting how much i can cram on it by the seconds, i can look at the list and see what version would fit on the CD (if at all).
The question about Willennium is..why did they put that interlude where will says "i got some hot tracks, i got the rain, i got uuhhh" after that "uuuhh" had already played!
They put that interlude on there cuz FP didn't want "Wild Wild West" on the album. He said in an interview that "WWW" wazn't gonna be on the album. It waz on the WWW soundtrack and he didn't wanna futher mix his movies with this real music. Since Columbia's iron fist insisted the hit be on the album, i think FP recorded this interlude 2 kinda poke fun at the situtation. Think about it "people already heard that." -
He waz workin' on a music comeback but nothing has come from him since. He waz at a Public Enemy show a few months ago. I drop him an e-mail from time 2 time asking about any new projects but he never has anything new 2 say.

This Thursday, Nick At Nite is have some special on SharkTale. I don't know if they are just putting interviews in between shows or if they actually have a TV special on it. Either way, it had the man himself, FP, in the commercials along with his co-stars. It shows FP being goofy the stars being interviewed by someone in a rediculous dolphin costume. Nick At Nite's website also has some kinda sweepstake at it. www.NickAtNite.com
That must be so annoying! You can always get it imported on DVD!
I don't know how we got on the topic of import DVDs...but trying 2 get imported DVD is not a good idea. Getting Import DVDs is a bad idea cuz DVDs are coded by region and they will only play in DVD players compatable with the same region. For instance, here in the US...DVDs from the US and Canada are only guarenteed 2 play in our DVD players. Some DVD players are more compatable than others. I have bonus DVDs that came with import CDs and some of them don't play at all, some play in black and white...and 1 or 2 actually play fine (they might be region 0 which is rare but plays in most DVD players around the world). I'm sure someone else is more knowlegable on this topic than i am.

JumpinJack AJ replied to Hypestyle's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
Whenver u type "i-d-i-o-t"...it'll put in knobjockey...which i think is insanly annoying. (LETS HAVE A POLL!!) I've just gotten use 2 using the work "fool" when discribing rappers like Eminem and 50 Cent cuz i won't allow a post 2 make it look like i'd use the word "knobjockey." -
NO MORE POSTS ABOUT "SWITCH" UNTIL WE HAVE NEWZ ON IT!!! This happens all the time. All of the Will Smith albums have been bumped back. FP must have thought he'd have all that label stuff taken care of and the album finalized by now. He just dosen't. If January is the new release month, then he's got some time b4 he needs 2 drop it.

What kinda poll is this?!? I'm not even voting.

I wouldn't say that. It waz thru' the Sony Will Smith message board that i got hooked up with Keith Pelzer and Darren Henson (who produced on Big Willie Style and Willennium) who were with A Touch of Jazz. Both Jeff and Will spend time on the internet and look at their schedules....why wouldn't their camp have time 2 spend online!? -

Welcome 2 the board!! Go get that album. Cicuit City and Target probably still have it as a sale price. Stick around this board and check 4 his upcoming album. I'm a fan of Christina's stuff 2..."Car Wash" don't hold anything against the work on her last album tho.' -
Besides, if u can't write a decent song...chances are u can't freestyle worth crap. There's alot of other things that come 1st b4 freestyle skills. If your voice is annoying, people don't wanna hear u. That's why some people don't like Eminem or Nelly...their voices are simply annoying. From there, u wanna hear a good flow. Lots of rappers just rap, but real emcees will at least occasionally pay attention 2 they rhythmic flow in their raps. I'm not a big Biggie fan, but he spent alot of time making this rhythmic flow pretty flawless. Also, the way an emcee feels comfortable on a track is important. Listen 2 any FP, Rakim, LL joint. They are totally at home on any kinda beat or any. Some rappers just don't feel like the song is theirs....they seem out of place on the track and it comes across in their rhyme. FP himself said whenever u are lacking confidence, u will come across as weak. Freestyling definitly takes a back seat in my book when it comes 2 rhyming.
it's a funny track not meant to be taking seriuos , yes i am a fan and like someone said before it will be a HUGE hit, lol.
That dosen't mean a party track or boncey poppish club track can't be good. There is no excuse 4 how bad this song is. Since Eminem is in a position where pretty much anything he releases can be a hit, it could be as big as this little song can be. It'll be a sad day for rap music tho'...talk about putting a shot in the arm of an art u claim 2 love.
-
It's out this week (2morrow i assume)!?!?!? U know i'm there. More good music on the way.
-
It's already been posted. This time around, Eminem makes Ja-Rules and 50 Cent's music actually sound good. The song is pure unadulterated garbage.

latifah has a rap album ready to go..
JumpinJack AJ replied to Hero1's topic in Caught in the Middle
Thank GOD!!! I can't wait 4 her 4 her 2 drop that Hip-Hop. I've heard 2 trax off the other album and it's the last thing i want from her. -
The ONLY reason some rappers attack him is cuz he's a pioneer who is still doing his thing and succesfull. Since he takes the high road of not dissing others and keeping his music respectful by leaving out cussing and graphic detail in his rhymes, they see him as an eazy target. Since he had a hit TV show and has an explosive movie career, it also makes him an eazy target cuz everybody knows who he is, and as an emcee, he has so many other things going on, he can't spend all his time in the lab anymore.
-
After having the soundtrack 4 nearly a week, i like it alot more. I guess since i know what 2 expect, it's different. I still think Jo Jo and Avant's trax are the best on the album. Also, i saw the Pussycat Dolls (from the soundtrack) perform on some fashion award show last nite...and they actually can rock a song in performance. They still have the weakest song on the soundtrack tho.' I still can't wait 2 see the movie tho' cuz i think i'll bring more out of the soundtrack 4 me.

Freestyling is a dope talent 2 have, but real music is alot more important 2 me. Freestyles are only dope 4 so long. When it comes 2 creating songs, there's lots of thought, art, creativity, and time put in 2 it. By creating a song, u are saying "this is what i have 2 offer." Freestyles usually never have a strong focus on the subject matter and since they are off the top of that head, nothing that impressive is being said. Writing songs has so much more soul and poetry in it. Of course many popular rappers don't even think about the actistic side of writing anymore, but true skoolers havn't 4gotten about that. As an emcee, i feel freestyling is only an accessory talent, while making good music and writing good songs is the main focus.
aj i think you missed my point is was just an observation nothing more,it wasn't about will doing something for a particular race , i was reading the faces behind the posts and was wondering how come there wasn't more african americans on this board who post regularly
I understand the curiosity. It's the idea of promoting amoungst the "African American" community that's rediculous 2 me. Either u are down 4 promoting FP or u aren't. It's kinda silly 2 limit who u'd like 2 expose 2 his art.
