yeah, we're just going to have to agree to disagree. basically the whole argument comes out to lerkot saying "why does will have to be like every one else and show women in his vids" and the rest of us saying: "the women are in good taste and not in poor judgement and thats how things are these days". the argument is done cuz its leading nowhere, it's simply a judgement call, and it's like a 29:1 ratio on the judgement. anyways i think i made all of the points i wanted to so im satisfied with where i stood

I dont get the line even in context. Does he mean that he is going to tell his name on the phone? ok, how can i explain this? it doesnt imply Will is seeing multiple women. it's about having a good time. here's where you're caught up: you assume everything Will is saying is somethin he's actually doing. he's saying "girl, give me ya number" in the same joking fashion as FPOBA, but he doesnt mean it LITERALLY. it's like he's making this song for 600,000 people and he's saying when you're partying you try to get girls numbers. he's not saying HE does that himself since he's married. it's a vague statement that you are wrapped up in way too much. it's just a term that explains how you feel when you're partying. Ted, this is part of the reason why i sometimes ignore your posts: you go off track. i don't get what that has to do with the topic. i mean Lerkot mentioned Lost & Found in the first post, but it was in relation to Will's videos. your post didnt say anything about Will's videos so i'm kinda struggling to see what you're gettin at. i guess maybe you were making the point that Will is original in his music and videos and he's not being like everyone else in them? clarify for me if you would.

ok first, i acknowledge your statements and your pictures from the video lerkot ok second, don't ever claim on this board again if you stop caring black people would have no power. you arent fighting for them and i find that statement rude and ignorant you acknowledge that you know how women dress today. so why is what Will's doing BAD? if that's how they dress, then why is it bad? could you tell me that? if guys dress in baggy pants and thats how its shown on videos then why is it bad? seriously Lerkot i think you've been censored too much. you claiming that girls wearing skirts and dancing in videos as being horrible would be like me exclaiming at a party "i just drank a whole can of beer!!" when everyone else is drinking tequila. you have also stated that Will's videos can only get worse from here. now let's say that Will's videos hypothetically went in the direction of that Jay Z video. that means Will's lyrical content would have to change. after all JayZ's video is about "big pimpin" so the topic would have to fit the video. i don't see Will making songs like that in the future. We have always (as a board) said that Will stays true to himself and always keeps it real. Now all of a sudden you are claiming the opposite. i don't think there's anything in Will's lyrical content that supports your statement. please give us the line in Party Starter you are referring to that could imply that Will is talking about spending time with women. sorry, i gotta respond to this too. once again, as a board we usually say Will strives to be different. i must totally disagree with your statement. Will is not doing the same. Are there chicks in the bathing suits which appear on camera for half of the video? is holding a 40 in one hand and a gun in the other? does Will have on a chain and some wrist bling? does he have a grill in his mouth? is he exploiting women in his songs? is he cursing, is he promoting violence? is he encouraging drug use? the answer is NO he isnt doing those things. he IS being different. the only argument you've got is that he's doing the same as far as having women in his video. this is debatable, but i still say the extent of his content is flavorful, not explicit and therefore he is being original. even if you were right in your claim that Will is doing the same with women in his videos, that still doesnt make him unoriginal or going down the path of other rappers because he isn't glorifying any of those other things.

Lerkot i'll wait for you to watch my video and give feedback as to whether the content on JayZ's video was more explicit than Will's or not, and also note the amount of time they show the women in JayZ's as compared to Wills.

is my point proven yet? and for the knockout punch. Lerkot please watch Jay-Z's Big Pimpin Video here and tell me that Will's videos look like that. This song was released 6 years ago, and still depicts stuff we see today and Jay-Z was called the #1 MC of all time by MTV. i'd be interested to know if you can even watch the whole thing.

your post implied Jeff didn't want anybody to know if he had a son or wife. it is true that Jeff has a son and i think he had a wife that he may be separated from. when a person asks a curious question and you don't know the answer you don't need to tell them that Jeff doesnt want them in their business. i look at that as rude in inappropriate. next time just dont post if you dont know the answer.

Big Willie verifies my point by saying: "You may not like what the women are wearing, but take a look around dude, thats what they wear these days" and "Will has girls dressed in classy yet sexually appealing outfits, because at a club scene, just like others have said, that is what they wear" when you make it an atrocity (sp?) that Will has women dressed the way they are when it's completely normal, it makes me question 1) what they do in Sweden and 2) if you ever look at girls. no offense, that's how i look at it and i'm sorry for bringing that to the board's attention.

:word: i agree that Switch and PS are accurate depictions of a club scene. certain other videos have close up shots of booty whores shaking their butts and doing other sex related moves in front of the camera and in front of the artist. Will's depiction shows nothing like that. i think Will's is just an accurate depiction of what a club really does look like.

yes you probably would. lots of DJ's can find pefectly matching beats, but when you are working with more than just one artist its probably easier. when you're just working with will's music, it's a lot harder. i would imagine theres some way to speed up the beat to get into the transition and then let it go back to normal when its done and you're ready to hear the lyrics of it lol

thanx 4 fixing the "tittle" you might also notice mark when you go to make a topic, theres a topic title, and a topic description, so you dont have to make the topic one big long sentance (see how long this topic is!) or instead you could say "Which album will Will's new album resemble most" which is a lot shorter but as for your question, i cant really say. we dont even know if Will's working on a next solo album and when it'll release. it would be cool if it was a mix between code red and willennium. but Will always has something new and exciting for us so i'm not gonna doubt that it'll be great

yes i should "argumenting" in a better way. i'm not familiar with that, you'll have to teach me. the reason for the disses, is because you're making horrendous accusation about Will's music and about rappers that use God in their music. nobody agrees with your statements about either of those things, but i guess you still cant accept that. when i said i know for a fact... i was referring to other music videos that depict sluts and hoes in them. 50 Cent, G-Unit, Mike Jones, etc. the reason i said i know this is because i don't believe you would be saying Will's music videos are bad if you did indeed watch those other videos. and knowing how much you hate "gangsta" music i know you wouldn't watch them why couldn't Switch have happened in '97? i disagree with your statement. ladies still dressed like that in '97. you still had Snoop Dogg, Dr Dre and Jay-Z with music vids depicting the same content as today's.

directed at markwinfield: you'll notice tho, that i'm not the only one disagreeing. i think almost everyone has disagreed with Lerkot's statement, i've been the one who's attempted to address it in detail and show Lerkot the right way. a lot of times, MaxFly, TopDawg, Da Brakes and a few others do this sort of thing as well by providing facts in a detailed argument to prove their point. it's just that this topic really hit me hard as something i needed to address so i did. stick around more and you'll see how often times MaxFly, Hero, etc etc. carry on the extended arguments and other people just spectate. i like it how all of a sudden 2 people are everybody. 2=everybody. i'm attempting to make you realize that they are bad, mark. you've been posting regularly here for a while. first we had to repeatedly tell you to log in. it didn't sink in at first, but you finally got it. now, you also feel the need to make more topics than necessary. don't feel the need to make topics about just anything, cuz they're stupid ones when you do. hopefully if i tell you this 5 more times you will finally get it.

i would like you to attempt to make decent posts. think before you post. if you've only heard 2 of Will's albums, it's not a good idea to cap on him. if you're on a Will Smith board, it's not a good idea to cap on him. if you don't understand the full meaning of a word, it's not a good idea to use it. and lastly, please stop feeling the need to make new topics all the time, cuz most of them are dumb. just contribute to the topics made by others unless it really is a good topic. and if all else fails, just take a break from the computer, honey. go and play outside with jimmy and bobby on the jungle jim set!!!

ooh, did i hit a nerve? look here Lerkie, im not here to start a fight with someone that's unarmed. if you would wish to respond to my argument about Will's video which i put very delicately how Will's videos are different that "everyone else out there today" than please do so. i know you wouldn't give up an argument just like that. i believe i made a very strong argument and if you'd like i could try to find videos where there's up close action of women doing dirty dancing, and how its worse than Will's. if you don't respond however, than i guess it means i proved you wrong and you cant say anything else just like the posts about rappers mentioning God.
