  1. yeah it is fun to act silly too. check out this video of my friend dancin to snap ya fingas. this was huge in my school... i think the whole school saw it and this guy became popular haha. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Va4dZd8oRa0
  2. i dont doubt it at all, JK has old skool flava laced in his tracks.
  3. hard for me to say what i'll be bumpin, cuz i dont bump whatever is on the radio or whatever new album just came out. i bump what i happen to be feelin. it will definitely by Busta's and Cube's new albums and probably some Naughty by Nature, Immortal Technique, and some Bone Thugs N Harmony. as far as that Lil Jon track goes, that beat is sick but the lyrics dropped by all 3 rappers just brought commercial rap down a whole notch. i mean... listen to Lil Jons verse again... it makes me sick haha. by the time sean paul comes on the track with his no-flow i just turn it off haha.
  4. thank u 4 checkin him out, thats the response i hoped to hear :2thumbs:
  5. i know its not meant to be about the church, i was overexaggerating my last post now that i look at it haha. i still have problems with the way it was mentioned tho. i only listened to Go To Church twice and Snoops verse didnt do anything to make me remember it so i will have to listen to it again, but i dont listen to Coolio so it doesnt matter to me if he did diss Coolio
  6. thats not really the point. there are infinitely more people on myspace than on this website and a JJFP page could be good promotion and make old heads remember when JJFP were out and how good they were. of course this site is the best, this is an informative website, not a chatting page like myspace.
  7. yeah im sure he was dope in his movie soundtrack or his guest features, but i'm tellin ya: his albums is where he lets go and shows what he can really do and how versatile and gifted he is.
  8. this album is highly dope! from Why We Thugs all the way to the end, the album is consistant and equal all the way around. i have listen to it all, but i listen to the last quarter of it in the background so i cant give a full rating yet, but this album was as good as Busta's album i would say. the only criticisms i have are: Lil Jons beats are uncreative (yet Cube still rocks those beats like only he can), the album is pretty predictable as far as production and beats, no real creativeness or risks taken like on Busta's, and there is a lot of profanity on some tracks that gets old when ur tryna listen at home with parents. i like the whole vibe and energy of "Go To Church", but the message was "if u a wuss, go to church" and thats the farthest thing from the truth and my beliefs and i was offended by that.
  9. any falling off that Will did with B2R he regained with L&F, that was a damn good now that i go back and look at it. ive never liked LL that much. i love old skool hip-hop to death but some artists i just dont feel that much and LL is one of them. every once in a while i will pop in DEFinition, BAD (my fav), or All World, but its nothing that i listen to constantly. Will takes the cake easily.
  10. every, i repeat, every player that is a player who you want going to the free throw line is taught to do exactly what you said. i know, i play basketball at the high school level and might at the college level (i dont suck so dont underestimate me). you are taught to create the contact and look for a foul when they're no other options. i give Wade credit because there were plays when him getting those calls just turned a nowhere to go play into 2 points and a productive possession. Lebron does it too, MJ did it, RIP Hamilton does it. when ur a great offensive player, your gonna get D'ed up real tight, and ur job is to create contact and get a foul when you have nothing going for you. every part of getting to the foul line is being aggressive compared to passing the ball off and standing in the corner when your team needs points. and don't tell me that Nowitzski (sp??) doesnt get questionable calls either, or falls on the floor after shooting a three (partly because he jumps high and lands on the defenders foot) and looks for fouls. its part of the game, its physical. its not high school where every1 is afraid to hurt every1 and everybody plays soft. people play hard and there's contact and its a man's sport, and wade is one of those players who has quickness and strength to his advantage and is good at knowing how to use what skills he has to maximize his performance. as for your "take the ball strong to the hole" comment, Wade does that too. pretty remarkable how often he dunks over 7 footers and he's only what? 6'4" or 6'5" at most. and when the dunk isnt open he knows when to lob to Shaq which he employed often durin the season unlike some of Shaq's other previous teammate *cough* Kobe *cough* i will admit that Kobe is a better player, and i am a Kobe hater. Kobe Bryant is a better skilled player. 1 on 1, Kobe would take Wade more often than not. however, Kobe has been in the league longer. Wade is doin the same stuff that Kobe was doin in his third year. Wade will catch up to Kobe and get up to that status. the one thing i like about Wade more than Kobe, is his team awareness. Wade hasnt had problems with Shaq, or anyone else. Wade hasnt complained of not being enough of a leader or getting enough shots. the man goes out there and plays his ass off everyday without complaining and he plays like a wants it about as much as anyone has wanted it and thats what i dislike about Kobe and like about Wade. i have been a Wade supporter since last year, never fancied Lebron that much and definitely not Melo, and im not changin now.
  11. yeah it appears within the last 24 hours when i posted this, the account has been deleted. it was created on 6/11 and it had some friends like DJ Scratch who were legit artist pages. it was tricked out a little, but not overdone. it had a white background with some yellows or golds to match in the links i think. it had the generic JJFP bio from Allmusic or whatever as the band bio i think. the default pic was the new "Very Best of" cover and the 3 tracks that were on the media player were Summertime, FPOBA theme, and another track i dont remember. but nevertheless it was all big singles that people new and was reppin the new album and was done nicely even if it was fake.
  12. Ice Cube - The N***a Trap man this album is dope too! just picked it up!
  13. lol u can get serious about this, but im just messin. this is fun and i have never taken it seriously but u are obviously a pro at this so do what u gotta do. Here i come to retaliate and supposedly hate Just remember Joe, you startin the dissin to Wes the great I know I can't flow, I never claimed to be pro I'm just tryna make my rhymes grow as I go blow for blow This dude said I was tryin to be him and that I was tryin to see him My response to that is if i wanted to be him then i would have to be dim Witted cuz on him everyone has allready s***ed, admit it I cant figure out why Joe would judge me and my ways Cuz I never took a drink and I never even blazed Only blazin I do is on the mic against you If u read my poems u would see im tryna reach the crews On the corners and Im tryna make a change I'm tryna educate them and save whats left of the game I'm tryna rid the streets of drugs, knifes and bullets And save all of the thugs before there's none of them left So next time u think that i smoked and sipped on that thugs passion Just remember who i am b***h: the lyrical assassin
  14. im still tryna contemplate how Joe chose his fate cuz that rhyme he ripped about me doesnt even make sense on my plate lyrically i come out the bushes with chainsaws and ski masks as i start to murder Joe and leave him broken like shards of glass on his ass, maybe next time he'll check the stats before he messes with a playa from the top class wanna see me Joe? just make sure to bring your desert eagle watch ya back man cuz in my hood killins leagal rollin regals, impalas, chevys, and them el caminos i murder foes and hoes and especially them average Joes u shoulda known man, i come from a block where they slang dro and bro, i aint afriad to say that you blow, as i continue to hit you with blows lyrically you just got assaulted and like 2Pac left out on deathrow
  15. Busta Rhymes ft Stevie Wonder - Been Through The Storm the best track on this album, also the deepest and most meaningful.
  16. Wade saw his share of double teaming in the last couple of games actually, and didnt handle it too well. Wade did get beneficial calls but every superstar is gonna get those calls. MJ, Kobe, Lebron - they all get those calls when you play aggressively on the offensive end. there isn't any aspect of the game where Wade is better than Lebron except for maybe sheer quickness and the ability to get to the hoop and off ball defense. however, here is the difference i am about to bring in that doesnt have to do with skill that makes him better than Lebron: clutch. i know Lebron has had lots of clutch moments in his time but i've also seem him choke horribly and have weak performances. whether that was seeing him live this year in a regular game (i think he had less than 10 pts) or his postseason efforts where he struggled at times. sure D Wade had a stronger supporting cast, but not once did he let a weak performance take him out of the game, whether that meant hustling harder and rebounding, or getting to the FT line when his shots werent falling. also Wade is the ultimate team player to me. Kobe hoists up between 30 and 40 shots a night and i see Wade putting up between 15 and 20 (obviously it increased in some games where they had no other offense). Wade is a team-oriented player and scoring doesn't matter to him unless the team needs it desparately, like they did at times during the finals. he found a way to include Shaq and J Williams and GP in his efforts to winning a championship, which is more than i can say about some other superstars.
  17. i found out about this site by Yahoo back in 1999 before this site had no forum.
  18. this album starts out with a taste of what the album is gonna be like with some above average tracks. then starting at track 5 all the way to 9, the album is straight fire perfect. then you get to a rough spot with 2 songs back to back that i hate which is unfortunate. then a couple of filler tracks, but the last 2 tracks end it on a strong note. overall this album is dope and Dre is solid on the production. definitely the best album i've bought this year (but how many mainstream new releases have i bought? haha). i havent gotten cubes album yet so i cant compare it to that, but i will soon. overall this album is an 8/10 and below is my track by track review Get You Some - im likin the beat and i'm likin Busta's flow on this one. good opening track. the theme of the song and the chorus arent what i was looking for tho, so that takes somethin off. 4/5 Touch It - great club track, good agressiveness, just not my type of ideal track 4/5 How We Do It Over Here - good upbeat beat, Missy is ok on this and so is Busta 3.5/5 New York S*** - i dont get the hype about this at all. DJ Scratch throws on a nice beat, but im not feelin the new york stuff at all. busta and swizz beats were both pretty weak on this track. 3/5 Been Through the Storm - stevie wonder nails it, Busta spits some rhymes from the heart that mean something. thats exactly what im looking for. 5/5 In The Ghetto - Rick James is good and Busta does a nice job 4.5/5 Cocaina - typical Dre beat with the piano, i like it for the most part. Busta flows correct on this. 5/5 You Can't Hold the Torch - good track about how the game is today and Busta & Q-Tip diss todays rap. beat is average at best. 4/5 Goldmine - "of course Dre comes with his piano beat, this beat is like the same as on Cocaina" is what i first said, but its produced by Eric Sermon. sounds like a Dre beat tho and sounds like Cocaina. however Busta and Raekwon both rip it which makes it a track worth listening to. 4.5/5 I Love My B**** - what can i say? i absolutely hate Kelis and this track pretty much stinks. theres nothing good about it, no good message. im not a big BEP fan, but i have nothing against will.i.am, but he didnt do anything great. i hardly even listen to this song, but i already cant take anymore, sorry 1/5 Don't Get Carried Away - oh no! this song sounds like a G-Unit track! as soon as the beat kicks in, it sounds like G-Unit. as soon as Busta starts singin his chorus like 50 does in some of his tracks and starts mentioning Flipmode, u can tell this track stinks and is G-Unit material. Nas does nothing with his verse either. ouch! 2 bad tracks in a row. 2/5 They're Out To Get Me - average beat, above average lyrics, not too bad. 3.5/5 Get Down - i dont know if this is african or latin flava but it shouldnt be done again haha. 2.5/5 I'll Do It All - nice track about relationships. i dont know what this beat samples, but Xzibit had like the exact same beat on his last album with the exact same message. interesting, Latoya Williams is a nice addition 4/5 Legend of the Fall Outs - a deep track, not much of a beat. not feelin the spoken work style. the message is the most important part tho so 3.5/5
  19. http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea...iendID=84682852 i found it by accident as i went to my friends page and saw summertime as his song. naturally, i gave him huge props! then i visited the page and i was pretty impressed by what i saw. i dunno if this is legit or what, but it looks like it was made recently, and probably becasue the very best of came out. the "band website" is listed as willsmith.com so Will, or one of his people may have made the page. i dont expect it to be updated or anything but its cool that JJ+FP are being represented out there on myspace.
  20. yeah its a shame we didnt have a good NBA discussion. i thought about making a topic a couple of times but then decided not to. Miami was amazing, and so were the Mavs. both teams wanted it equally as much, Miami just came out on top. i was going for Miami since they were playin the Pistons back in the conference finals and i was really discouraged after they lost the first 2 games but i never gave up faith and the whole team, not just D Wade, stepped up and played like champions. props to the heat, they earned that championship. and D Wade is just on a whole other level. i've always maintained to my friends that Wade is better than Melo and Lebron, and they're just now starting to admit that i might be right. lol
  21. i just got this cd today, and thru 1 1/2 listens i must say its a dope cd. the 3 hit punch of Been Thru The Storm, In the Ghetto, and Cocaina. thats the heart of the cd right there where Busta shows some deep lyrics. i must say that Dre did a good job producing the album aswell. i recommend this cd!
  22. i have finally listened to it all, and this is your best work yet Ace! i'm really feelin the premo beats more than i was on one day it will come and the lyrics are dope as ever. i dont know what more i could ask for out of you, it's all dope!! great work, and make sure to hit us with more stuff in a the following months.
  23. except for the fact that Jeff is reffered to as "Jazz" all the time in the show, never Jeff or Jazzy Jeff.
