  1. I wasn't a big fan, but I just loved the crazy style he had both on the mic and off. Man he is gonna be missed. billboard.com just posted this story so it's official.
  2. It would be tough to top previous efforts, but Dela keep on putting out quality material. They have yet to drop a bad album.
  3. Dumb Dancing Jazzy's Groove A Touch of Jazz Basically all of Code Red
  4. There is the one episode where he comes home in leather singing Justify my love. I don't think he was way, but does anyone know about where Joeseph Marcell swings in real life.
  5. Thanks for listening and sharing your thoughts on it, much appreciated.
  6. I have done my share of beatmaking and such. My Beats Mostly instrumentals there, one remix for a cat in Calgary, and a Jay Dee/Jay-Z mashup I did which was done really quickly but it sound decent.
  7. It would be cool to see some more up there. I need more JJFP. :D I missed out on some of the older stuff too.
  8. In My Playlist Marvin Gaye - I Want You The Beach Boys - I Just Wasn't Made for These Times Mos Def - The Panties JJFP - Twinkle Twinkle Thes 1 - Noonen Dela Soul - It's Like That The Rolling Stones - Tumbling Dice Bell Biv Devoe - Something in Your Eyes (This song is so addictive..tight) As for Albums Jimmy Eat World - Futures Brian Wilson - SMile (Could be the greatest album of all time?) 9. to the peeps dissin the prince, I tell them where to stick it while hit it, up with their girl in the club, or plain ole pub if she like it a little laid back, lay back and get a back rub while I drop some summer madness, slow dub like it like that man, the digable fantastic smooth like that man.
  10. Here is a pic of me and my homey rockin a crowd. I don't really have any other pics to post up so here it is. My pic I'm the shorter dude Another Mic Pic Me with some mic action (PS. I'm actually singing here.) My Funny Mascot
  11. Yeah it's kind of a subtle stab at the gangsta rap craze back then. Still a little shocking to here the word b---- in there. It's not a hardcore cuss I guess but kind of odd since Will is pretty adamant about not cussing in his rhymes.
  12. Big Willie Style was largely a Will Smith solo release. Jazz had a hand in like 2-3 songs. Willenium is the only solo CD you could dismiss as a JJFP album as Jazz is on a good portion of that album. Then again you could call Code Red more of a Will Smith solo CD too because Jazz only produced 2 tracks. Besides all that it's a pretty simple question and it is not intended as a Will Smith vs. Jazz type deal cuz if it was I would have just put that as the question. (Besides it wouldn't be a fair fight between 3 Will albums and 1 Jazz album)
  13. Not too many moments for Canadians. We essentially choked....the best was prolly when we won Gold in cycling for me.
  14. Anyways I now annoint the 10 best FP of BA episodes of all time. In no Particular order. Mistaken Identity (Season 1): Will and Carlton agree to drive Uncle Phil's legal partner's car to Palm Springs for the Weekend. Along the way they get arrested and thrown into Jail with a singing white guy. Line of the Episode. Will: Carlton this white dude is scaring me. Carlton: Why? Will: Every time you see a white guy in Jail you know he did something Bad. Deck the Halls (Season 1): The first and still the best x-mas episode. Will attempts to show the stuffy Belair locals the x-mas spirit by decking out the banks house in crazy lights. Line of the episode. (In x-mas decorations store) Will: I don't know man, is there something in maybe a green or red, or maybe a Santa Claus. Shopkeeper: It's been done. Did the Earth Move for You (Season 2): Uncle Phil gets tickets to the People's Choice Awards for the family, but on the way they get caught in an eathquake and Will and his girlfriend are stuck in a closet. Line of the Episode. Will: (Off-key singing) I'm stuck in a basement, sittin on a tri-cycle, girl gettin on my nerves. Going out of my mind, I thought she was fine, don't know if her body is hers. Just say Yo (Season 3): Will is getting bogged down with school, work, and a girlfriend so an aquaintance offers him speed to keep him awake. Will doesn't take the speed but keeps it in his locker. Later at the prom, Carlton is rumaging through Will's locker for some Vitamin E for his zit and mistakenly takes the speed. It's a more serious episode dealing with the pressures of drugs and such. Line of the episode. Will: (Imitating Police Siren to his girlfriend) Somebody call the Cops cuz it got to be illegal to look that good. Will goes a Courtin' (Season 4): It's the middle of a heat wave and the Pool House has no air-conditioning. Uncle Phil refuses to fix the AC until Will and Carlton pay their rent and forbids them to have a pool party. Will goes right ahead with the party and for their shenanigans Phil tries to sue them for non-payment of rent. Line of the episode. Phil: (To Carlton) Do you know ho embarrassing it is to have a son who cannot swim? (pop's Carlton's floaty ducky). also Phil: (to neighbours teenage daughter) Get out of here you little tramp, and tell your mother your father has a girlfriend. Hex and the Single Guy (Season 4): Now while I don't as a christian condone the activity in this episode, it is one heck of a funny episode. The family attends a seance in order to contact Hillary's dead fiance. Will ain't buying it and in the process manages to get himself hexed. The token Halloween episode of the series. Line of the episode. Phil: (to Carlton) Who are you supposed to be. Carlton: Macauly Culkin, my idol. Hey you wanna know why he's my idol? Because his movies have grossed over a billion dollars at the box office. Not to mention he's one Heck of an actor. The Philadelphia Story (Season 4): Will and the Family go to visit his mom in Philly. In the process Will has to defend his reputation as a coward for running from the "one little fight". Line of the episode. Will: (To his friends) Man Omar was one bad dude. Hey remember when he stole the principal's car just to run him over. Will's Misery (Season 5): Will and Lisa spend a night at a cabin in the woods, but little does Will know that he's being set up for a sorority prank. This is prolly my personal favourite episode. Line of the episode. Lisa: (after smearing lipstick all over her face) I just wanna look extra special for you. Will (very uneasy) and you do baby.....you do. Viva Lost Wages (Season 6): Will and Carlton spend a weekend in Vegas where they gamble away all their money and have to enter a Dance Contest in order to get home. Line of the episode. Actually not really a line but the dance constest is hilarious. The Baby Comes Out (Season 3): Aunt Viv is about ready to give birth to Nicky, but the gang find themselves in different locations trying to assist in the delivery. Line of the episode. Phil: Everyone wake up...VIVIAN's HAVING THE BABY (Will Screams) Phil: Come on don't panic. Will: It not that.....you don't have no drawers on.
  15. Watching the series again I'm astonished by the amount of cool guest stars they got on this show. Apart from the Jazz's and the Lisa's (both of which were around a little bit too long to make them a simple guest star) who do you think was the best. Note: They can be in Multiple Episodes just not more than say 6. It's hard but my vote has to be Sherman Hemsley with his role as Judge Robertson for a 3-4 episode story arc in season 3. Other notables worth considering Queen Latifah - popped up a couple times in different roles. The character Trevor Collins - appeared in a few season 3 episodes. Will's Friend Ty - a few episodes in season 2. Darryl Sivad - popped up in a few episodes as the clueless emergency worker. Notably as the paramedic when Uncle Phil had his heart attack. DL Hughley - As Will's comic friend Keith Don Cheadle - As Ice Tray Vivica Fox - As Jazz's sister Berry Gordy - as Gordy Berry William Shatner - as Himself Boyz II Men any others.....lots more out there. This is just a start.
  16. There seems to be a lot of UK heads up on here as well as European heads. Just wondering if there are some Americans or Canadians on here. I'm Canadian reppin Vancouver, BC
  17. Prolly but still hasn't been done for a little while I guess. Haven't heard the greatest hits, but I don't think it should count just strickly because it's pre-existing material.
  18. Finally........I'm superstoked for this.
  19. "Hey Will, I heard a guy disguised as me tried to run a party scam."
  20. Rock the House - A Touch of Jazz He's the DJ - Pump up the Bass In this Corner - Jazzy's Groove Homebase - How can you not like Summertime, but I also think Dumb dancing is dope....and who can forget Will going psuedo gangsta in you saw my blinker. Code Red - Either I'm looking or Twinkle Twinkle (I'm not a Star) For the Solo Albums Big Willie Style - Yes Yes Y'all Willenium - So Fresh Born to Reign - Block Party The Magnificent - For the Love of the Game
  21. I'm not gonna judge Prince cuz I haven't been around too long, but I am inclined to believe that Hero1 would not of banned him without significant reason. Whatever this entails it should be handled in private between the two and not aired out on these boards. All that does is get a lot of people pissed off for no real important reason.
  22. Note that the Jazzy Jeff mix CD's do not apply as they comprise largely of other artists material.
  23. "Chicken my brother?" "between what's in my wallet and this soda can, I'm good for a nickel." Jazz jingers.
  24. Dunno exactly what's going on but at least the forums are intact.
  25. yeah......Just say yo is a classic episode. Will goes a Courtin' is another one. Prolly the best episode they ever made. The Flambe one "Burnin Down the House" was goofy but still pretty funny. Asses to Ashes, the one where the Judge (Sherman Hemlsey) dies was pretty funny too.
