  1. lambert, why do u always end up taking these posts 2 a level nobody wants 2 take them. People's opinions never bug me or start fights. Me and Tim talk about music, and why we love alot of the same things, we also don't have the same tastes when it comes 2 certain artists. However, we respect each others opinions and never challenge each other. However, u come in here laughing off everything i say, but never prove me wrong. If u can tell my how Loyal To The Game stands up 2 his first 4 or 5 albums, i'll respect it. If u can tell me how Eminem and G-Unit fit in2 the same category has Method Man, Redman, Mac Mall, E-40, and so on, then i'll consider your reasoning behind thinking Loyal To The Game is something 2pac would actually put out. Instead of laughing at the knowledge i'm dropping, why don't u try 2 prove it wrong. Cuz so far, u are talking big but u aren't saying anything. This has been how u come at people 4 months, yet u never show u have a true respect 4 Hip-Hop or any knowledge on it's true history. I'm sick of wasting seconds of my life to tell u that u are a fool.
  2. Yeah, this Mike Jones guy is another dime a dozen. He's doing the same crap all the other untalented guys on the rap charts are doing.
  3. AMERIE's album is really good. Her voice is flawless. The production waz handled mostly by the guy who did her 1st album. However, i waz wanting some straight R-N-B in it's simplest form, like her 1st album. But the tighter production isn't a bad thing, infact, most people probably will love it. She dose have some real nice slower ones ad the end. BOBBY VALENTINO's album is amazing. If u wanna compare him 2 any one, he's kinda like Ginuwine, 112, and Mario Winans. The production is incredible!!! And the lyrics take u 2 a place not many artists can take u. I can ONLY say good things about this album. Another album i 4got 2 mention is FRANKIE J's. I honestly didn't think i'd like his album. I thought the production and his vocals would be weak. But since i love "Obsession" and "Suga Suga", the 1st week sale price waz the only inspiration i needed. However, this album is dope. I waz so wrong, the production, lyrics, and Frankie J's vocals are all on point. Oh yeah, Destiny's Child's new album has been kinda slept on, but it's really good. It's good seeing "Girl" on BET all the time.
  4. What documentary was it? It wouldn't surprise me if the info waz a mistake. They were probably talking about the album by the other Jazzy Jeff. Jazzy never did a solo album b4 JJ+FP.
  5. I think he won't do SNL cuz he dosen't wanna do shows that aren't funny. :slap:
  6. Yeah, since he dosen't have a big single out right now, i waz overlookin' that. his album came out about the same time as Mario's...they both got albums with staying power. Another album 4 got waz OMARION's. I think his new video/single "Touch" is the weakest track on the album...but the girl in the video makes up 4 that...ha ha. I think the rest of his album is great.
  7. I know that that there are some people here who like R-N-B, but don't like alot of the commerical stuff that comes out. Well, here's a list of albums that are guarenteed 2 bring some heat 4 the summertime. AMERIE - Touch The album drops 2day. Most of u are familiar with her 2002 album/singles and most people here like her Hitch single "1 Thing." If u get her album at Circuite City this week, it's on sale for $9.99 and u get a bonus DVD. BOBBY VALENTINO - (self-titled) This is the guy who sung "Gold Digger" on the Shark Tale soundtrack. He also has his 1st single ("Slow Down" or something like that) blazing up the charts. All i've heard is those 2 songs, but from those 2 track, i expect his album 2 be dope. At Circuit City and Target, they have it on sale for $7.99. FAITH - The First Lady This is Faith off Bad Boy (looks like they lost one of their only true talents). The quality of this album is what u would expect from her. Lots of R-N-B/Soul with just a dash of Hip-Hop. This album is VERY good. MARIAH CAREY - The Emancipation of Mimi Another blazing album. Everything is on here, commercial R-N-B, Hip-Hop flava'd songs, R-N-B pop ballads, all the stuff u expect from her. This album really impressed me. People call this her big comeback since she debuted at number 1, but her last album Charmbracelet is nearly as dope as this one. Of course Mario's album came out in the fall. I haven't gotten it yet, but i've heard some of it and it waz ALL GOOD from what i heard. Also, MARQUES HOUSTON drops his album at the end of May. I'm expecting that 2 be amazing...at least 2 me standards and personal tastes. So, 4 all u R-N-B starved fans....there some stuff u might wanna check out.
  8. Great! It'll be interesting 2 see how it dose. Espeically with Flav's Surreal Life and Strange Love shows on VH-1 putting him out there in a BIG way!!
  9. "Same Song" and "The Way We Swing (Remix)" are on the DU album "This Is An E.P. Release." It's not hard 2 find, u can find it on ebay pretty often. Besides, "Same Song" is on the Tupac Resurrection album, isn't it? "The DFLO Shuttle" and "Family of The Underground" are on their 2nd full length album "Sons of P"...again, not that rare online. I'm not sure where "Wussup Wit The Luv" is from, but it's on their greatest hits album "Playwhatchulike."
  10. I actually don't read that much. For some reason, i get this slightly urban mens magazine Complex in the mail 4 free...i have no idea why. But i read that when i get it. I do read this one book every nite. It's by a pastor/speaker names Joel Osteen. I came across him when channel flipping last year. He waz speaking and it just touched me in a way that got me hooked. I watch his show ever Sunday on BET. He dropped a book called Your Best Life Now and i'm reading it the second time around. It gives me what i need 2 live each day 2 the fullest even when i wanna slow down. Even when i'm going thru' hell, like i have been the last year and a half, this book has helped me find joy in other areas of life.
  11. I waz listening 2 Supernova and 3D all day. Supernova is one of the deepest Hip-Hop albums ever. It's also really experimental, which is why not everyone waz feeling it (and why Arista didn't put it out in the US when they released it overseas). p.s. Brakes, that's not Natalia's pic, it's actually the pic she used 2 create her picture. I sent her like 3 pix and that's the one she chose 2 use.
  12. However, Julie busted his VCR, claiming it waz making funny faces at her.
  13. Legacy is how someone is remembered after they pass on. Since 2Pac is gone...this Loyal To The Game album IS his legacy. This is one of the last albums we'll have from him, and this is leaving a bitter taste in the mouths of people starving 4 his real style. Eminem's beats are NOT his style and G-Unit rapping on his trax is NOT his style. How can u say that this is what he would have wanted if u are familiar with the work he did when he waz alive. Loyal To The Game can't stand up against any of his first 4 or 5 albums....or even the other doctored albums.
  14. When it comes 2 Dancehall and Reggae, Elephant Man isn't one of the people i listen 2, but i think the remix is blazing. I don't care about what he says on his album as long as he dosen't drag it on2 FP's album. Whoever dosen't like it better cover there ears with that Elephant Man remix drops featuring FP and Redman.
  15. I honestly have no idea. I waz gonna ask this same ?uestion at some point. I guess we should all start researching.
  16. It's called "old school." Alot of Hip-Hoppers from back then wore glasses like that. If u wanan see some killer glasses, look up some old Run-DMC pix. DMC had some crazy glasses, compared 2 Jazzy's.
  17. TLC - Waterfalls (Organized Noize Production Remix)
  18. Wes is laughing cuz u said Eminem didn't ruin 2Pac's legacy. lambert, just cuz u like all that Shady and G-Unit stuff dosen't mean any of your assumptions are respectable. While 2Pac waz alive, he recorded trax with people like Ice Cube, Treach, Digital Underground, Method Man, Redman, E-40, Snoop Dogg, etc. Do u honestly put G-Unit in the same category as them? No way!! And are u saying that Eminem's production can stand against the production of Shock-G, Easy Mo Bee, Soulshock + Karlin, Johnny J? If u honestly believe that, u have disillusioned yourself so bad, that i don't know what 2 tell u. Yes, i think alot of people u like suck, but that isn't what it's about. It's about Hip-Hop and quality music. U say u respect legends in Hip-Hop, but all u rave and rant about is Eminem, G-Unit and so on. Their music dosen't represent Hip-Hop music or have any ties 2 the day of old skool. U say stuff like that all the time and u don't back it up. There no way 2Pac's music from late 80's thru' 1996 is anything like his doctored and remixed stuff from 2000 up until now. Very few trax were kept in their original form or even try 2 what they were meant 2 me. No matter who u like or what u think, Eminem and G-Unit were never meant 2 be part of his legacy. If the newer stuff waz meant 2 be part of his legacy, his long time fans wouldn't be so upset with the newer stuff...mainly Loyal To The Game. And Bracesup, i know i have most of those trax u listed, i'll try 2 check 2nite when i get off work.
  19. U wanna know the worst part, i wazn't gonna bug Jeff while he waz spinin'...but i waz gonna stay until he waz finished and see if he had a second 2 chill or ask if he needed help packin' up. Well, when i left the block party 2 a second (2 get the ultra crappy camera used 2 take this picture), my friend Russ talked 2 him 4 a second and Jeff said we could hang out 4 a bit and he'd sign some stuff 4 me. I got back and we had 2 cut out early cuz my girlfriend had 2 be home by a certain time (and we were 5 hours away from home). After we got home, my friend Russ told me what Jeff said. I could have killed him. I would have told my girlfriend 2 walk!! j/k :cwm:
  20. I don't like Jadakiss. His voice is annoying and his lyrics are a dime a dozen. I have his album from about 2001 (only cuz DMX is on it and i got a crazy deal on the price) and i never listen 2 it. It's funny how music reflects their personality. I saw him on Punk'd and he just got on nerves. There's no getting around the fact that rappers with commercial success get it thru' the fans who are ignorant 2 good music. They certainly don't have the skillz or heart 2 back up their sales.
