BOBBY VALENTINO - the whole freakin' album!! It's just perfect!!

Right now, let me just say i'm seriously ?uestioning your Hip-Hop credibility. Scratch that, I AM ?uestioning your credibility.

Wow! Just as i expected, this entire show annoyed the crap out of me. 1st off, pretty much NOBODY doing the commontary has any room 2 talk about Hip-Hop. Flava Flav is on there, MC Lyte pops up 4 a second, Sir-Mix-Alot talks alot, and Brian McKnight gets some screen time 2...but that's it. They knock all the stuff i grew up on like Kris Kross and Marky Mark. They diss "Gettin' Jiggy Wit It" as if it waz supposed 2 be song done 2 change the world. None of them even knew what Jiggy meant. They also focused on stuff nobody cared about. They spent like 5 minutes on Madonna's short rap at the end of her track "American Life." They dissed Ice Cube for directing Color Me Badd's "Time & Chance" video (one of my fav R-N-B joints from the mid-90's). They focused on the one Christian emcee who did a track called "To Whom It May Concern" which waz a prayer 4 Eminem, hoping he'd get his life right. The song sounded really dope from the short bits u heard on the show. The thing that made me real mad is that they focued on stuff that waz so irrelevant, but they ignored all the things wrong with Hip-Hop 2day that aren't even Hip-Hop. VH-1 shows alot of love for Hip-Hop...but this show isn't a part of that.

All i'm gonna say is...WOW!

He dosen't need 2 do any movies for awhile.

No doubt. I'm biased becuz i've been a Marky Mark fan since 1991, but his work in movies is amazing. When it comes 2 success, he is right behind FP. Of course he dosen't refure 2 his time as an emcee 2 much, but his limitations are non-existance...just looke at The Big Hit, Planet of The Apes, The Perfect Storm, Fear, The Truth About Charlie, Boogie Nights, The Italian Job...it's hard 2 believe the same guy did the same movies!!

FP can rap just as quick as Twista. Twista only stands out becuz nobody raps that fast anymore. Back in the day it waz quite common. It's just that since the 90's, everybody wanted 2 make their music more laidback. FP, Skee-Lo, Busta Rhymes, Eminem, Mystical...they can all race a rhyme properly.

Sorry...but i this post is just silly. I didn't read any of the replies, but here's what i gotta say. Public Enemy is NOT gangsta rap. They are Hip-Hop with lots of knowlege and political insight. And 2 say Dr. Dre's "The Chonic" is just a gangsta rap album is crazy. There's so much more 2 it than that. There's politics, street stories, etc. What FP was complaining about waz that AFTER "The Chronic" blew up...and then "Doggystyle"...every new rap act waz trying 2 be just like them. Nobody waz themselves. Even established artist sold out their own style 2 go "gangsta." Since then, it waz from strictly gangsta rap 2 "guns, sex/ho's, drugs, alcohol, and material things. All these news guys still sell out who they really are 2 be like all the other uncreative fools. The music isn't about anything. Snoop Dogg is defintly alot more than his original incarnation. There's alot more 2 Snoop than his old gangsta image. Snoop is one of the ONLY guys 2 come out in the 90's who have graduated 2 the next level. That's why he's doing trax with FP and Gang Starr.

Am i the only one who thinks this idea has fallen flat on it's face. TYME 2 DELETE!! Unless Scy puts on a bib and puts his grub down with some Kibbles + Bits.

I think it's a fun remake...nothing more 2 it than that. Keep in mind this wazn't supposed 2 be a momunmental...it waz done 4 the soundtrack 2 a kids movie.

Rakim should have done something with JJ+FP years ago. When i look at that list, Jay-Z just stands out. Even if his 1st album was good, 1 album dosn't stand up the entired careers like LL and Rakim have. And Mos Def runs circles around Jay-Z easily.

I'd like 2 catch this special...even tho' i think there will be alot of moment that i disagree with. I think that if u are the person who recorded the album To The Extreme u have no right 2 call anything corny.

Girl's definitly ain't nothing but trouble. A few months ago, i was hanging out with this girl and things were cool. As the night went on she started making passes at me. I ignored them 4 awhile, but eventually i gave in just a lil' bit. However, i did keep things under control. Next thing u know, it's late at night and she gives me all these reasons why she can't go home. So i eventually gave in and said she could spend the night, but i made sure she stayed on the sofa and i waz lounging in the chair. Then, when morning comes, SHE WOULDN'T LEAVE. I had 2 shower and pretend that i had 2 go 2 work and leave the house so she would leave. When she took a different turn, i turned around and went back home. 2 days later i found out she had a boyfriend. This guy was HUGE 2. I happened 2 see the 2 of them at a restaurant. I drove my friend's car 2 the place (long story) and next thing u know, he comes at me runnin' his mouth. I tried 2 tell him he dosen't know how 2 treat the ladies and how she didn't wanna be with him and then walked away. I waz tryna keep things cool and avoid a fight. I hop in my friend's car and he comes running out of the restaurant and starts trying 2 punch thru' the window. I just floored it and left. The thug in my wanted 2 flatten that fool (cuz i know i could have), but i usually avoid fights at all costs. That's just my most recent story. Maybe i'll post another later.

Another thing that makes this list bogus is that "Brand New Funk" isn't included.

How on earth dose Big Willie Style have 3 more votes than The Magnificent?!? :eek4:

ERIC B. + RAKIM - My Melody Am i the only one who cringed when 50 Cent said Rakim waz his favorite emcee in that track he did with the Game? How u gonna say Rakim, a true skool emcee, is your favorite artist and then make the crappiest, most meaningless, commerical rap music?!?

Rakim, no doubt. After all, FP mentions him in the track. Rakim fits right in on the track. LL needs 2 do a track with FP, but i don't think is the track 4 him. I think it's funny that so many people voted 4 Jay-Z...cuz on the real, Jay-Z fits some of the qualities that FP talks about when it comes 2 being lost.

Yeah, it's either the funniest or 2nd funniest video they did. The performance shots and the story "shots" are just perfect. The colors, the vibe, everything about it is great.

I LOVE gettin' singles. That's where u find most of the b-sides and remixes.

Thanx 4 posting that. Every emcee on that list deserves props, tho' i'm not totally agreeing with the order. And anyone who wants 2 doubt Marky Mark's skillz should check his song "Don't Sleep" off The Big Hit soundtrack.

so do u know exactly what track #9 is????? I have no idea, but he confirmed it waz a typo. I asked him about another item or 2 that he had up and he answered all my ?uestions in ways that dissapointed me. Who knows what those Hong Kong people are thinkin' when they put this stuff 2gether.

Well, years ago, i DID do my research. Apparently whoever put 2gether a site on FP assumed he created that clothing line. Then another webmaster probably stole that assumption from that site and put it on theirs and it snowballed. But after the research i did 2day...u r right!! :thumb:
