  1. Well, i'm voice my opinion that Wicked Wisdom being a part of Ozzfest is a stupid idea. If they are trying 2 get their name out there, Ozzfest isn't the place 2 go and put it out there. They won't be expanding their audience. I don't see your typtical Ozzfest-goer liking them and going out 2 get the record. I think they'll only get booed and put themselves in danger. I agree that if the board waz closed, the people behind the site are playing themselves. Mods should do their job and ban people. If u just close the board, u have lost the fight.
  2. I definitly expected more. It's a hit, but it dosen't stand out much as a hit. I can point out 10 other recrods that are doing alot better than it. I'm expecting the next single 2 go further than "Switch." I just think it's hard 4 him 2 undo the work don't by Columbia, which is why it's so hard 2 get his records and videos out there.
  3. Yeah, he has jewelry how. But how often can someone talk about something like that. That's why i say alot of his songs are empty, cuz they talk about irrelevant stuff like ice. That's wack 2 me. And of all the people who buy his albums actually are dripping with diamonds?!? I'm saying that even if i thought Jay-Z had real skill, i wouldn't be able 2 relate 2 him which would bore me. When i listen 2 FP's music, i can releate 2 it, when i listen 2 LL Cool J or Speech, i'm click with what they have 2 say. They actually talk about stuff in their music. And i'm not saying that music isn't real just becuz i personally can't relate 2 it. But like i said, how many of the people who have bought his albums can say they relate 2 most of his songs? My reality is based around love, friends, comedy, working, spirituality, etc. When i hear someone talk about diamonds, cars, sexing as many ladies as possible, drugs, drinking, guns, and violence...that dosen't speak 2 me. It's not like i don't know drug dealers or havn't gotten in a fight or wasn't in a position where i could have been shot, but music like that still dosen't speak 2 me. When i used 2 write alot, i didn't really put that stuff in my music.
  4. The thing is, Born To Reign wazn't a "Will Smith" album. It waz Will Smith Introducing/Featruing Tra-Knox. I think the reason people don't like B2R is becuz of his experimenting with different sounds. But alot of people wanna tack that on Tra-Knox. Their style of music isn't what B2R is. If they got their own music out, it wouldn't sound like B2R at all. Listen 2 them on "I'm Comin'"...they sound great. And when i saw them live, that's when i knew they were the truth.
  5. Wow! This sounds very cool. I think this show will be a great outlet 2 bring real Hip-Hop and spiritualality in2 people's homes. It'll also be a great way 2 promote the album. Look what those MTV reality shows have done for Jessica Simpson and Ashlee Simpson.
  6. I'm hoping that moderators will show up and do their job.
  7. Last, but not least, here is a pic from yesterday (how's that 4 current!?). Me and some friends were up at High Rock, which is basically a big rock a the top of a mountain. From it, u can see 3 states (MD, PA, + DE). It's simply amazing up there...and it's really cool that it's like 30 minutes away from where i live. It's just a few minutes away from Camp David, the Presidential Retreat.
  8. Here's me 2 Friday's ago...chillin' with a few friends at TGIFridays for my b-day. If u want very average food and service, Friday's is the place 2 go.
  9. Here's a pic of me right after i picked up Lost + Found. Keep in mind this is after i waited 20 minutes 2 find someone 2 open up the boxes with the new releases. THEN i stood in line for over half an hour cuz nobody waz working at midnight. I look a lil' dishoveled...but i finally got back 2 the car and popped the CD in.
  10. CIARA + LUDACRIS - Oh I don't really like this song much...but i'm listening 2 it anyway. U have no idea how freaked out i waz when i found out that former A Touch of Jazz producers made this track. I can't believe they made a song this bad. I got her album tho'...and her single choices suck...cuz this girl can actually SING!! U just wouldn't know unless u got her album.
  11. :bowrofl: :bowrofl: :bowrofl: :bowrofl: That's only HILARIOUS becuz it's so true. I see tons of white kids between the ages of 8 and 13 wearing G-Unit stuff in the mall all the time. Nobody else wears it. U know how FP said that he felt he waz neglecting Trey when his teacher said he wazn't good at grabbing on2 the concept of rhyming?? Well, i think he's neglecting Jaden by allowing him 2 wear G-Unit gear. :nono:
  12. MC Lyte waz gonna drop an album on Overbrook 2 but since they lost their distribution deal, they let her go. I bet her album on Overbrook would have been better than her Underground Heat album. Breeze's album never came out either. From what i heard on the WWW soundtrack and Willennium, they had skillz.
  13. Tonight on BET's 106 + Park, at 6 o'clock, Jada is gonna be co-hosting or at least stopping by. Nick Cannon is also gonna be there. I'm thinkin' they are gonna show his new video with supposedly features Tatayana Ali. Looks like an all-out FP releated episode. They'll rerun this on Tuesday morning sometime. I think they also re-run it at night as well currently.
  14. I'm thinkin' that their ties with FP fell apart when Overbrook lost their distribution deal and their album (which featured a rap by FP) didn't look like it was coming back. I wish them the best, they are some talented guys. Born To Reign definitly wasn't their style. When i saw JJ+FP at the MTV Beach House in 2002, they were there and they sang Jodeci's "Luv U 4 Life" acapella and it waz nothing short of amazing.
  15. Oh lawd!! I Love Another Bad Creation. I listened 2 them when i waz young. "Iesha" is CLASSIC. I got both of their albums. At the moment, i'm listening 2... RICKY BELL + SO SO DEF BASS ALL-STARS - When Will I See You Smile Again
  16. I do like Reasonable Doubt. But like Eminem, his 1st album waz he dopest and since then, the music isn't the same. I did like 2 of the singles of the Blueprint but i didn't like a few of the other trax i heard.
  17. I waz going thru' an old Vibe (April 1999) magazine 2nite. Since i don't really like Jay-Z, i never read the interview back then...but i skimmed it 2nite and came across this... --- VIBE: Your album's at 3 million. Will Smith's is at 4 million. What dose that tell you about the state of hip-hop? JAY-Z: Will did a great thing for hip-hop. He brought light onto it, exposed people to it who normally wouldn't be listenin.' Some people are gonna love and stick with Will. SOme people are gonna say, "I wanna little more edge to my music." The more educated people are, the more they're gonna look for the cream of the crop. VIBE: Do you mean your own work? JAY-Z: Yeah. VIBE: You would say Will is the cream of the crop? JAY-Z: Me and Will make different music. He's a very creative person. I think mine has more edge and is more reality-based than his. --- I kinda laughed when i read this. Of course i don't like Jay-Z that much but i have heard alot of his music. So my opinion may not be that respected on this, but not all of his stuff "reality based." He's got tons of that jewelry talk...which isn't reality, it's just empty lyrics. Not everyone may feel the direction FP takes in his music, but pretty much eveyone can relate 2 it, and it's him putting his life on wax...that what reality is.
  18. I actually bought Rock The House at K-Mart on cassette. Of course that waz like 1991. Department stores aren't exactly where u would look 4 the JJ+FP albums tho.' Their stock is mostly current albums from the past 5 years along with classic albums.
  19. That's a very dramatic way 2 take a drink. :hilarious:
  20. I have seen 1 or 2 copies of Code Red at various Wal-Marts.
  21. For those of u who 4 some reason might be missing any of the Will Smith albums, Wal-Mart has restocked them all and they are priced for $9.88 or something like that. I saw them all in one of the CD displays in the electronics section (but not in the regular CD section). Of course, i believe Lost + Found is still priced at $9.72. So if u are missing an album or need 2 replace one that u've listened 2 way 2 many times...go out and buy the record.
  22. Right now it's NEW EDITION...but after reading your post, it's time 4 some De La.
  23. Those pix are dope. It's killin' me waiting 4 the news of when they are performing close 2 where i live. It's cool 2 see FP and Fat Joe chillin.' Fat Joe has probably changed his opinion since he said FP waz cool but that he's 2 hard on his opinion of commercially succesful rappers.
