I'm watching the VMA rerun right now...i picked up right where i left off watching the original airing. G-Unit is wack...their immaturity dosen't even surprise me. Fat Joe is just okay in my opinion...but G-Unit makes him look like Rakim.

I didn't read any of the previous posts in this topic...but i never thought Lost + Found waz FP's best solo album. I've always thought it waz very different from Big Willie Style...but just a lil' bit better than BWS. Lost + Found still can't touch Willennium.

I know that there are a good bit of MC Hammer fans on this board. Did y'all check that mini VMA performance?!? Outta nowhere, Puffy just introduces him, and next thing u know, MC Hammer and a squad of dancers are on stage tearing it up 2 a updated and remixed version of "U Can't Touch This." Since Puffy asked all the people involved in the show 2 dress 2 impress, Hammer's whole team outshined most of the people were on stage that nite. Hammer waz in a smooth gray suit, untucked dress shirt, pink tie, and a white due rap....with signature sunglasses. Their moves were tight and even tho' he really ripped one version, Hammer waz tight on the mic. All i can say is "WOW." Immidiatly, Black Eyed Peas got 2 the feet and lost their minds. Alicia Keys, John Legend, Destinty's Child, Kanye West and half of the other celebs there got 2 their feet and the crowd went wild. Man, he's needs 2 come back and remind people how much energy Hip-Hop used 2 have.

I love Nick Cannon. He just reminds me of myself sometimes and i'm always drawn 2 celebs who remind me of me. People compare new talent 2 established talent all the time. It's no big deal. After all, he's a young emcee who is having alot of acting success and incorporates comedy in2 alot of his stuff...similar 2 FP.

Yeah, i'd like 2 hear a full album from him 2. I like pretty much every person Jazzy Jeff has worked with recently, except i can never bring my self 2 actually get their albums since they are harder 2 find and the lack of promotion.

I'm with TopDawg, i don't like 2 hear it at all...no matter who says it. Sure, many people have twisted the word around in2 different meanings, but that dosen't mean it's cool. 2 me, it's basically the same as TV going further and further with what they put on TV. What wazn't cool back in the day is now cool 2 put on TV. Just cuz times change dosen't mean that's an excuse 2 let things slide. The ONLY time i've heard the word and it hasn't bugged me is when Arrested Development used it. They said that the word means someone who is opressed and wallows in that oppression....still making it a negative term. So the few times they use it in their songs, it still means something bad, but the the racial sting of it has been replaced with a different negative meaning. I have a few black friends who use it and it still bugs me...i just don't wanna hear it at all.

Ha ha...u won't let this die will u? Yes, waiting outside a radio station is something "Loretta" would do. But the similarities stop there.

Well, radio stations can do whatever they want. But these days, if it's not released as a promo or single, it has about zero chance 2 make it on the radio. Sometimes the b-side 2 a single has a chance of making it tho.' I haven't heard album music make the radio since the mid-90's. Everything is so commercial these days.

I don't understand why alot of these commerical rappers have some good taste in music...yet their own music sucks. The only quality artists 2 ever work with Bad Boy were/are New Edition, Faith, Carl Thomas, and 112. Total wasn't 2 bad either.

I don't see a connection at all. The girl in "Afro Angel" is just a groupie with no morals. "Loretta" is a stalker obsessed with someone she never met.

Candy, Don't Say Nothin,' Y'all Know, Chasin' Forever, Potnas, The Rain, No More, Afro Angel, Pump Me Up, Holla Back, How Da Beat Goes, Act Like You Know, Give Me Tonight, I Gotta Go Home, Swagga, If U Can't Dance (Slide), Lost + Found. p.s. even tho' L+F officially only has 1 single so far, i strayed away from the songs advertised on the sticker on the front of the album...considering them a mainstream release.

JOHN LEGEND - So High The video is on BET right now. Kinda cheezy in my opinion...but great song. I can't believe it's been so long since i listened 2 this album.

U shouldn't have even asked us...u should have just gotten it. Great late-90's R-N-B album. One of my favz.

Wow! I really need 2 put some of my time into stuff like that. Planting seeds like that in other people's lives will have blessings of your own chasing u down and taking u over b4 u realize it. It's amazing how if u dedicate your heart 2 something like that, your own needs would be met...such as being exhausted, then contributing to something like that and then being given a second wind. There truely is no greater feeling than giving to someone else...especially those in need.
