Oh lawd...she's sounds like Kanye Kim if u ask me. She's talking about having a hype behind her return and how successful she is...and her last 2 albums didn't generate any over-the-top success at all. And they day a true Hip-Hop fan says Lil' Kim's music is anywhere near comparable 2 Lauryn Hill's is the day i shoot myself in the face. Her voice is annoying, her flow kills me, her lyrics are trash...and in most cases, her beats aren't any good. The Source dosen't have the kinda of integrity that is used 2 have. If one of the reviewers is stupid enuff 2 give her album 5 mics, i'll just laugh it off. Some may say i'm being hard on her since i haven't heard her album (and don't intend 2), but with her voice and flow, she could never even earn 2 mics from me.

Like i said when this waz brought up b4, i don't see any realistic reason 4 it 2 be the same person. FP dosen't pu people actual names in his music. Sometimes they are fictional characters...sometimes they are people he actually knew re-named. I think this is as far-fetched as the Loretta character being the same girl FP talks about in "Afro Angel."

JumpinJack AJ replied to fan 4ever's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
I think the tour is gonna happen. Maybe not when they originally planned...but i think it is. No real reason...i just do. -
SCARFACE + 2PAC - Smile (forget the title of Scarface's album) (1997) The video waz just on BET, i 4got how much i loved this song. And the 2Pac look alike in the video looks so much like him...when hanginging in the shadows in bad lighting with your head hanging...ha ha.

I'd have 2 read/hear the whole interview 2 see where Common is coming from. I would be disappointed 2 find out he's against mixed relationships...especially since i've been in a few. Common Sense has always been a down 2 earth, intellegent, spiritual kinda guy which is why i don't see him thinking like that. I'm thinkin' that maybe he saying that people who embrace the "pro black" image contradict themselves when they are seeing someone of another color. But this is the 2000's....stuff like dreads are now just fashion, not a political statement. I totally see why this is getting attention, but how much of this song that these guys recroded is from the heart and how much of it is them trying 2 get their names out there so they can get success? Most rappers say at least one stupid thing in their career....ha ha. Run always gets misquoted, FP has that line "all the homeboys that got AIDS, be quiet." As long as Common dosen't go back on this topic and take it further, i might count this as his "stupid comment" of his career.

That's funny. Eminem will always have a following, but respecable Hip-Hop fans have turned their back on him...cuz he turned his back on theirs. Even if Em stepped up his game, i don't think his music could ever compare 2 his early work. If u play with fire, u r gonna get burned. Em dissed alot of people and offended alot of listeners in the last 5 years...that's why ex-fans and other entertainers don't like him.

Michael Jackson writes song for Katrina Victims
JumpinJack AJ replied to bigted's topic in Caught in the Middle
I can't wait 2 hear this song...but whatever happened the song he did for the 9/11 victims. I saw the song on a few MJ bootlegs but never heard it. -
Be is a dope album. I loved it when i got it, but put it on the back burner 4 awhile. I started listening 2 it alot last week. Just good music.

I can't believe that Yayo crap generated so many sales. Man, that's just bad music...where do the people come from that buy this stuff?

50 Cent just needs 2 get it over and diss LL Cool J so LL can rip him and put his career in the grave.

Cool, but i'd like the beat 2 get more aggresive in the middle. The production is great...just not quite what belongs under the "PS" acapella. Dose this guy not have an MP3 of his "WWW" remix up? I haven't listened 2 it yet, but i'm pretty sure i'll want it after hearing this remix.

why isnt radio playing party starter?
JumpinJack AJ replied to Hero1's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
Well, FP falls in2 a different category and radio just dosen't support that kinda Hip-Hop often. His music isn't the disposable and forgetable crap that G-Unit, Chingy, Mike Jones, and Ja-Rule are releasing on a regular basis. With no video, there's no desire 2 give the single a chance. So as the video gets airplay, i expect it 2 do big things. But timing and marketing is killing the album right now. -
Kanye West causes controversy on NBC
JumpinJack AJ replied to Frenetic's topic in Caught in the Middle
Yeah, what TD Jakes said sounds on-point 2 me. Everyone wants 2 point fingures. How r u gonna point the fingure at the President for something NATURE did?!? And then people are gonna like it's easy 2 get people down there 2 help out WHILE the hurricane is still going on, then after everything is covered in water. I'm not all in2 polotics, but it dosen't take an extreem knowlege on the topic 2 realize why things have happened the way they have. Back 2 Kanye tho.' My biggest problem with him is just that he has no credibility on the matter. Let me contrast him 2 Chuck D again. When Chuck D speaks, u understand where he is coming from and he approaches topics in a very knowledgeable way. He makes his point and supports it. Kanye has no credibiltly...he has no history of standing up for anything important and his big mouth leaves his statements easy 2 ignore. On top of that, he just says his opinon. There's a difference between making a point and saying "The President dosen't care about black people." That's like someone saying they hate Lost + Found cuz it sucks. Who would care what they have 2 say? Unless they are a person of integrity that is respected...and backs up their statement with facts...who's gonna take them seriously. I just hear Kanye say stuff like this, and i'm left saying "why should i care what you say" and "why should i respect what you say?" When Chuch D speaks, i listen, when 2Pac spoke, i listened...Kanye needs 2 step his game and his behavior up b4 he tries 2 talk about something serious. -

Kanye West causes controversy on NBC
JumpinJack AJ replied to Frenetic's topic in Caught in the Middle
I couldn't bare 2 read hardly any of the posts in this topic...but here's my take on it. The way Kanye has realized that he can get alot of attention and cause countroversy by opening his big mouth has gotten very annoying 2 me. There are times when he dose say something intellegent, but there are alot of annoying, empty things he says...an i think this would be one of those. He's starting 2 remind me of Eminem and how he saw how much attention he waz getting...so he just got more annoying until he got 2 where he is 2day, which isn't a good place (at least 2 real Hip-Hop fans). I agree with what he said about the "looting/searching" thing, but his other comments are just empty. Big mouth but nothing much coming out of it. If he dosen't want the media twisting the image of black people, then he shouldn't contribute 2 it. One of my friends said this 2day about his comments (almost word for word). "There is white trash and there is black trash...but this isn't about black and white, this is about stupid people and smart people." She then went on 2 say he has a "black trash" attitude and that his ignorant comments are what is gonna make people mad...not the color of his skin. She's 30 years old and grew up in a nearly all black school. She's not racist at all and someone i very much respect, and i can't help with agree with her. When Chuck D speaks, i listen and form my own opinion...in which i usually agree. When Kanye West speaks, i listen and often drop my head and shake it in dissapointment. Oh yeah, and i like his new album...but i haven't listened 2 it in like 4 days. So his music isn't keeping me that interested in him either. -

American Idol: I hate it!, I hate it, I hate it!
JumpinJack AJ replied to rawad_m's topic in Caught in the Middle
I don't watch the show. I went 2 visit my grandmother a few weeks ago and she likes the show, so i watched it with her. As a performer, i dosen't bother me 2 much 2 watch it, but it's definitly not my kinda thing. I wazn't in2 Kelly Clarkson, but when i heard the singles off her new album, i really like her style. I might even get her album when i find it at the right price. From the few songs i've heard from Ruban Studdard, he has some skillz 2. It's hard 4 me 2 take someone 2 seriously coming off a show like that tho.' -
LIFEHOUSE - You And Me (on VH-1) (...don't know...) (2005)

Sorry, Turntable...but i gotta say this. I've hated Lil' Kim since she came out. Her music has always been awful 2 me. Her voice is so annoying and her lyrics are the greasyest, fithiest stuff ever. U are doing Hip-Hop an injustice by mentioning someone like MC Lyte in the same paragraph as Lil' Kim. While Lyte is known for being able 2 rip fellaz in battles, Lil' Kim is known for having 2 get her stomach pumped during a show cuz she had a gallon of sperm in it...that's just discusting. I think it's funny when a wack rapper disses another...it's like watching a bunch of 3 year olds fighting on a school playground.

Will finally has a good single appreciation thread
JumpinJack AJ replied to Hero1's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
I think it's a good single choice...but a lil' late. I think "Party Starter" will definitly pick up some heat. But i think it was important that "Switch" waz released 1st. When i listen 2 "Switch" now, i think it is doper than what it waz when it 1st came out...and that's rare 4 me. -
The art of hating is quite pathetic...as this review displays. Did he even listen 2 the track?!? Oh well.
