Awesome! Long live the Walkman!! My favorite Walkman was the one i got in 1991/1992. Just black with a shiney silver that was colorful when the sun hit the logo...haha. It was stolen from me with TLC's "OoOoOoOhhh...On The TLC Tip" in it.

I would love this 2 happen providing it was really taped in a polished and proffesional way. If it wasn't taped on that level, then they could include it on an MJ DVD but not as the main reason 2 get it. I have watched the memorbilia jump. I have a good bit of MJ music. As i was watching the news on CNN that he was in a coma and/or passed away, i got on ebay and snatched up any of the cheaper MJ stuff that i know i wanted becuz i knew this would happen. I've watched some stuff over the past few days jump 2 crazy prices. Whenever i'm out shopping i'll check for MJ CDs and nowhere has ANY. As a fan, i regularly check that kinda thing. People are grabbing everything they can. It's silly that it took his passing 2 go out and wanna support him but at least they are realizing now that they were foolish for treating him the way they did just because of court cases that never had any real evidence.

I just saw this pic...there is another pic on the web. They were both taken on June 23...less than 3 hours b4 he passed. He looks incredibly happy and full of life. He looks totally youthful and in his prime in that pic and the other ones. Seeing those pix made me wonder for the 1st time if something weird really did go down with medication and exactly what his personal physician did. The pix prove some rumors wrong that the rescheduled dates were based off the fact that MJ had done nothing. Rumors said he didn't rehearse and that he didn't even hire backup dancers and that the whole thing was a set up 2 get money from those tickets 2 get him out of debt. The other pic from June 23rd shows him with a handful of backup dancers. The pix really hit. Just 2 see him so happy, full of youth, full of life, and putting on what just looks like an amazing show really just made me realize he was about 2 comeback in a big way. What really did happen between the rehearsal the night before and the call 2 911??

Do people laugh when you say you like Will Smith?
JumpinJack AJ replied to Ataraxia's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
I can't relate with most of the comments u guys have. EVERYONE knows i'm a huge JJ+FP fan. When people talk about me 2 other people it's like the most commonly known thing. I don't know why, i guess i just make it obvious. When i tell people for the 1st time about the music i like, nobody has ever laughed that I'm on of JJ+FP's biggest fans. Maybe back in the day (during the days of gangsta rap and hardcore hip-hop, some people would make a comment about it saying how they may not have taken them seriously, but that's it. The funny thing is, NOBODY has ever reacted saying they didn't know he made music. Everyone knows...and they know he was making it back in the 80's. What makes things even more weird is that EVERYONE i know (and i mean that literally) loves him. They simply think he's the greatest thing since sliced bread. Most of these people know him mostly from the blockbuster movies, then The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, then his music, but they all know him, they are familar with everything he does, and they love him. I noticed this a year ago. In my area, everyone simply loves and respects him. It's kinda cool 2 have been down with him since the beginning and come 2 place where pretty much everyone i speak 2 is a fan of his. I have friends go on vacations 2 Disney World and bring me back Men In Black keychains and buying me random FP-related things. -
Joe Jackson is really hard 2 ready. It's hard 2 understand his motives because of the way he talks. He just seemed very disconnected and random during that interview. It's probably why he didn't stay in the industry. At the same time, he just lost his son.

It is kinda silly 2 require the artist 2 lipsync, but i'm sure it saves them lots of money and headaches. Maybe if it was being aired at 8 in the evening instead of 2 in the morning and more of a fanbase like back in the day it'd be different. It's all promotion tho'....work hard, make yourself accessable 2 fans.

JAMIZ - Get Loot Get Loot (CD Promo) (1994) After having the cassette single all these years, i finally found the unheard of CD promo...ha ha. I am the only person in the world who cares about this song. Except the guy on ebay who also bid on it making it go up 2 $55.

It's never been released in the US. I remember seeing import versions online but the US have never seen it on it's shelves...which sucks. The cover u posted is awful...very generic.

U can't just give music away. With all due respect, that's just stupid. I would like 2 see profits of the album go 2 a charity that MJ supported or something. I find it a little akward that someone like The Game is leading the song when he has zero connection 2 MJ. I mean, Usher and Chris Brown were obviously inspried by hime heavily. Boyz II Men not only were inspired by him but they also met him, sang on The Jacksons soundtrack (as well as appeared in the movie), and were on his HIStory album...plus the Motown connection. I'm sure The Game grew up on MJ and loved him, but the connection and style just aren't there.

Justin Timberlake feat Will Smith - Rock your body Remix
JumpinJack AJ replied to VIsqo's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
Other than the 2nd verse not blending well and the 2 different song topics, that was dope...both the blending and the video. I'll have 2 check out his other stuff. -
U can hear Usher in the background. Mario Winans doesn't have the kinda voice 2 comand attention unless he's up front so he's proably buried somewhere in the mix. I much rather have heard Boyz II Men, Usher, Mario Winans, and Chris Brown on the track without the rappers. I'm sure they'll all do covers for some kinda project soon. With the song being so short, it's hard 2 juggle all those artists and all that talent.

I find it hard 2 believe that there's a "finsihed" album. He was always recording and always perfecting. We know there's probably enough music for him 2 release another 50 albums. One thing they really need 2 do is 2 release all previous VHS's on DVD. I remember a documentary from the mid-80's never got put on DVD. The Making of Thriller was never put on DVD, Moonwalker was never released on DVD and neither was Ghosts. Captain Eo (sp?) was also never released. I think the fans deserve alot of this stuff.

I thought that pic was from 1991. When was it taken? I was just thinking about his scene in MIIB. I just remember laughing so hard in theaters. MJ was hilarious. I like that they cut the MJ jokes out. If they aren't really distastefull, i don't see why they couldn't be in the outtakes...but i can't see a movie like that doing the fun kind of finger pointing. I wonder if there is video footage from this comeback tour that is polished enough to be shared with fans at some point. Who owns the right 2 his music? Will we ever hear the song that is confirmed that MJ did with FP? Will we hear it in it's original form. Is there more than one like there was speculated?

It's interesting 2 hear all of the things that celebs are saying. I just saw an interview with the Godfather of MJ's kids and he said that people may have thought it was weird how he covered his kids with masks and stuff. However, he said that by doing so, nobody knew exactly what his kids looked like. He said how he would get to take the kids out without masks on and never had 2 worry about a crowd forming, threats, or kidnapping. That just blew my mind. MJ was a smart guy for that. The most sought after man in the world could let his kids out in2 the world without them being recognized. He also confirmed that MJ spent almost all of his time with his kids, where he felt happiest. He also felt that he was not a fit father because MJ was such an amazing father. He was assuming that MJ's parents would probably be taking care of the kids. Another thing that come 2 mind. For any die hard MJ supporter, the tarnish on his career over the last 15 years has been a painful thing. The lawsuits. The way people make fun of him. The way people think really awful things about him (which none of us know what the truth is). His appearnance. His comical actions. It has been painful to watch all this happen 2 him knowing that he is one of the greatest singers, songwriteres, dancers, producers, business man, and probably one of teh world's sweetest soul. He deserved 2 be on the top. He deserved to be in the lime light. He didn't deserve the negative media trash. He didn't deserve families that he helped out suing him. He didn't deserve to be torn away from from the art that he loved so much. In my personal life, i have been praying all year that my personal situations turn around. Some of them are gonna take some work, some time, some miracles. The cool thing is that why i look at MJ's career, it has all been restored in the blink of an eye. Yeah, they are talking about the stuff he had 2 go through. However, the media that stalked him and trash talked him is now supporting. So many people who just weren't into him over the past 15 years or even disrespected him are now praising him. For a real fan, it's frustrating that they could hate on him for years and now they wanna be a bandwagon fan who "was always down" with MJ. But getting shortly after being annoyed by that, i actually got happy that his legacy seems almost totally restored. His legacy is the most imporant thing. I doesn't seem like anyone on TV is focusing on the negative and the weird. They are eyes are opened and they are praising him for the genious that he is.

What are your favorite Michael Jackson songs? There's alot of them. Break it down if u need 2 (favorite R-N-B songs, favorite dance songs, favorite lyrics, favorite albums, etc) I'm gonna start off with my personal favorite albums... 1. Thriller 2. Dangerous 3. Invincible 4. HIStory 5. Off The Wall 6. Bad Didn't know if we could include "Blood Is On The Dancefloor."

MICHAEL JACKSON - Speechless Invincible (2001) This was always one of my favorite songs. The lyrics are some of the heaviest that i've ever heard and the way he sings them with his heart is just amazing. It comes across on the CD.

I agree with alot of things being said here. I don't think MJ was lonely or unhappy the last few years. He finally got some decent privacy the last few years and he spent most of his time with his children. Whenever u heard him talk about his children, u could tell that being with them is what made him feel the happiest. They are what he felt most proud of. Once he beat that last case, he was with his kids and dealing with alot less stress and pressure. The media was always on his back, but since they worked so hard 2 tarnish his star, they temporarily semi-achieved, which got off his back a bit. On top of that, he was working on new music and he was heavily rehearsing for a tour that would have brought him back 2 greateness. He had 2 be happy 2 be working. He may not have had any singles, albums, or videos out...but he just sold out 50 shows in a matter of minutes and he was on top of the world as he went. There was no decline, there was no downtime...he was on top as he was taken away. AND the place he was taken 2 is a place where he is FINALLY free from all of the negative things of this world. He didn't suffer long if he was in a place where he could participate in the suffering at all. I pray for his family. As they face this time, as they handle his matters, as his children's lives are set up, that the press just leaves them alone. I wanna hear some of u say more about MJ. That reason i'm typing this an my last longer post was because it's ridiculous 2 just leave a comment like "R.I.P." if u were actually a fan of his. Tell your story. What are your memeories of his music? One thing i love is that in his passing, MTV actually started playing a thing called music videos. They are focusing a bit much on the 80's and his biggest hits, but it's a good thing nonetheless. I remember when "Black or White" came out, MTV aired it every hour on the hour. The day before he passed, i was taking my dog for a walk. As i walked thru' the neighborhood, i made a point 2 remember who used 2 live in certain houses and all the crazy things me and my friends did as kids. When i walked by the house that my friend Eric lived in, i remember that when my brother got Dangerous the day it came out, we rushed 2 his house and popped it in and blasted it in the basement. I remember instantly falling in love with "Jam." And the big surprise was that Heavy D was on the track!! In that same basement, i remember making lots of lipsyncing music videos. I remember me and Eric were fighting over who was gonna lipsync "Black or White." We agreed that we'd both lipsync a version of it...ha ha. We even did a silly parody of the intro 2 the video. However, we never got 2 complete the 1st version. I was doing mine 1st. I remember that we weren't allowed 2 touch the camcorder so we were trying 2 do it before his dad got home. I remember rocking black pants, a white t-shirt, and a white button up over top it. I remember dancing and lipsyncing and in the middle of getting in2 it, totally stopping and a look on my face that was a combination of embarassment and "oh crap, we are in trouble" as he dad walks in2 the frame from the left...ha ha.

I'm also wondering if anyone has the song he did with Akon (not the 2008 version of "You Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'"...the new one) and "Let Me Let Go." I need 2 make a new MJ mix with the quickness. It makes u think about the future of his music. MJ fans are faced with what all music fans deal with when one of their favorite artists passes away. Does this mean no more music EVER? Does this mean more music...and if so because the artist didn't finish their project, how will the music suffer (if it suffers at all). MJ has recorded hundreds of songs, probably thousands. And as we heard on The Ultimate Collection, some of the unreleased stuff is album quality...and some of it is incredibly rough and dated. And remix albums are a whole other story. And they'll probably hit us with another Greatest Hits album even tho' they've given us a few already. One thing is for sure. 1 more studio album of original material is due. Let the people that he was working with and/or worked with in the past complete and fine tune the project for the holiday season. It just doesn't make sense for MJ not 2 be here. He was rehearing for this new tour...nobody saw this coming.

Sitcom Saga: TV Mom Claims Will Smith Was No Prince
JumpinJack AJ replied to Ale's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
My thing is this...it was so long ago...WHO CARES?!?! It's hard 2 see FP in the light. If there is one thing i've learned over the years, it's that there is 2 sides 2 every story...and then there is the truth. Now how much of those sides lines up with the truth is one thing we'll never know for sure. I don't remember FP ever going out there and talking about the fall out between the 2 of them. I can't see the cast backing him if he was really acting like that and with negative motives. In fact, since the cast remains friends and supports each other and always back FP, it kinda shows that they aren't backing him just 2 keep a job...because they haven't had that job in over 10 years. I think Janet has serious forgivness issues. She may have been given a reason 2 be mad back in the day, but it's 2009. Get over it. Her life and career are probably suffering becuz of that unforgiveness. Life ceases 2 progress when u allow yourself 2 not forgive someone. She is talking about a person who no longer is the person they were. She's letting it ruin her life. At this point, it's no one's fault but her own. She needs 2 grow up and get over it. Even if he did do all of those things with the motives 2 make her life miserable, it's been 15 years.
