  1. I wish FP talked more about his relationship with 2Pac thru' Jada. I only remember one article where he mentions it. I just find it interesting that 2 different emcees from different sides of the game (at times), both successfull, both acting, both coming up over the 80's and 90's and being friends thru' Jada.
  2. I'm guessing the beard was needed 2 make the transformation more drastic...or maybe 2 not make it perfectly obvious who she is attacking with it. I do think it's funny that it took over 10 years of disses and parodies for someone 2 really come back at him. Go Mariah...just don't drag it out cuz this isn't worth more attention than it's already getting.
  3. I had 2 share this with fellow MJ fans. When i'm online, i regularly go digging for music online. Big artists, forgotten artists, new stuff, old stuff, etc. Well, on a weekly, monthly, or bi-monthly basis, i look up my random artists and occasionally find something very cool or very rare. Well, i've been watching MJ stuff show up online and go for crazy amounts of money. It feels good 2 see something u own that u bought for $7 sell for $50...ha ha. Anyways, while i was browsing, i found something that i didn't know existed. A CD promo for the HIStory track "This TIme Around" featuring Biggie. It has 8 track, which include remixes from Dallas Austin and what look like remixes by club/dance producers. After all of my years of looking i've NEVER seen this or heard of ANY remixes of this song. I did spend a bit of money on this but NOTHING compared 2 what u'd expect when u look at the other stuff, that's even less rare. Just wanted 2 share...
  4. FP is easily a better emcee in my opinion. I have a handful of Nas' albums and when FP does a serious track, his at least meets Nas on the same level. When it comes 2 the variety of subject matter, the adjustment of his flow over the years, the comedic timing and delivery, FP blows Nas away. I don't think anyone considers Nas a real performer. FP rips shows. Everyone enjoys his performances cuz he brings everyone in close. Flow-wise, they are probably on the same level. I think FP beats him out when it comes 2 having a more agressive flow. I don't think i've ever heard Nas attack the mic. I also think Rakim vs. Biggie was a no brainer. I had a problem with the other 2 becuz they are so different from each other that it's hard 2 compare them. This round was much easier than that last 2 in my opinion.
  5. U know, i've been thinking about this. Those families that took MJ 2 court and destroyed his reputation have 2 obey gag orders, but i've been wondering if they would come out of the woodwork and admit 2 lying. None of us will ever know what happened, but i've always felt that they were lying and just trying 2 get money out of him. What if there is truth 2 that article? The world would realize just how wrong they were 2 believe some random family who filed a lawsuit against the most famous person in the world? It was those cases that derailed MJ's career and made his life miserable. Anyways, in the wake of it all, here's another article ?uestioning the status of his kids from AOL News... ---------------------------- Reports Swirl on Paternity of Jackson Kids PopEater posted: 8 HOURS 52 MINUTES AGOcomments: 1044filed under: Gut Reactions, Music News, WTF?PrintShareText SizeAAASkip over this content AP Debbie Rowe may have given birth to Michael Jackson's oldest children, but TMZ is now reporting neither he NOR she are the biological parents. Citing "multiple sources deeply connected to the births," the site claims Michael Jr. and Paris were conceived in vitro, outside the womb, and that Michael was not the sperm donor. Also, Rowe's eggs were not used and she was quite simply a paid surrogate. Meanwhile, Us Weekly is reporting that the biological father of Prince and Paris is Jackson's dermatologist Arnold Klein, whose former employee is Rowe. "He is the dad," says a Jackson insider. "He and Debbie signed an agreement saying they would never reveal the truth." Regardless of these reports, Rowe has been trying to get in touch with the late singer's family since his death. "We've been trying to reach them at different numbers. But we don't know if who we've been leaving messages with have gotten the messages," Marc Schaffel, a business associate of the family who is friends with Rowe, tells PEOPLE. See Them Now >>>(Note: Please disable your pop-up blocker) "In all fairness I wouldn't say they are avoiding her," Schaffel says. "Our understanding, though, is that the Jackson family does want to have contact with Debbie." As for Rowe's reasons for trying to contact them? Schaffel explains that there are "several reasons" including "to offer her input into a venue where they could have a public memorial." "Debbie was absolutely devastated by Michael's death. They had an incredible bond and friendship even prior to the marriage... Debbie was a very good friend to Michael during all those years," he adds. According to the law, Rowe could get custody of the two children, even if she isn't the biological mother. However, Katherine Jackson -- Michael's mother -- has petitioned in court to be the legal guardian and was granted temporary custody. In papers filed in court, Katherine claims that the kids "have no relationship with their biological mother" and "have a long established relationship" with their grandmother. Jackson's youngest child, Prince Michael II, was born to an unknown surrogate.
  6. I can't agree that NOT seeing the rehearsal would be a better ending. Let's think about what MJ has achieved in the past 10 years. Things have been pretty quiet. He's only relesed 1 studio album which was good and did well, but it didn't do typical MJ numbers. Everything else was drama and negativity. People didn't support him. Rumors said he wasn't even rehearsing or that he wasn't able 2 peform much anymore. This DVD would be the proper send off. This DVD would shut up all of the negative people knocking his abilities and what he was actually doing. Now that the world is more open 2 MJ and missing him instead of criticizing him, they would see him do his thing one more time. His star may be shining brighter than it has and people may be praising him for the 1st time in 15 years, but musically, there is NOTHING for him. We need 2 see the singer, songwriter, dancer, producer, and creative artist blow our minds right b4 he left us. People (especially the haters) need 2 see with their own eyes that he was in his prime up until it was his time.
  7. Awesome! Long live the Walkman!! My favorite Walkman was the one i got in 1991/1992. Just black with a shiney silver that was colorful when the sun hit the logo...haha. It was stolen from me with TLC's "OoOoOoOhhh...On The TLC Tip" in it.
  8. I would love this 2 happen providing it was really taped in a polished and proffesional way. If it wasn't taped on that level, then they could include it on an MJ DVD but not as the main reason 2 get it. I have watched the memorbilia jump. I have a good bit of MJ music. As i was watching the news on CNN that he was in a coma and/or passed away, i got on ebay and snatched up any of the cheaper MJ stuff that i know i wanted becuz i knew this would happen. I've watched some stuff over the past few days jump 2 crazy prices. Whenever i'm out shopping i'll check for MJ CDs and nowhere has ANY. As a fan, i regularly check that kinda thing. People are grabbing everything they can. It's silly that it took his passing 2 go out and wanna support him but at least they are realizing now that they were foolish for treating him the way they did just because of court cases that never had any real evidence.
  9. BOYZ II MEN - Under Pressure (Groovy Remix) Cooleyhighharmony (Expanded Edition) (1991/2009)
  10. EDDIE MURPHY + MICHAEL JACKSON - Whatzupwitu Love's Alright (1992) The track is okay, MJ steals the show. I haven't heard this in ages. I'm remember the music video...ha ha.
  11. I just saw this pic...there is another pic on the web. They were both taken on June 23...less than 3 hours b4 he passed. He looks incredibly happy and full of life. He looks totally youthful and in his prime in that pic and the other ones. Seeing those pix made me wonder for the 1st time if something weird really did go down with medication and exactly what his personal physician did. The pix prove some rumors wrong that the rescheduled dates were based off the fact that MJ had done nothing. Rumors said he didn't rehearse and that he didn't even hire backup dancers and that the whole thing was a set up 2 get money from those tickets 2 get him out of debt. The other pic from June 23rd shows him with a handful of backup dancers. The pix really hit. Just 2 see him so happy, full of youth, full of life, and putting on what just looks like an amazing show really just made me realize he was about 2 comeback in a big way. What really did happen between the rehearsal the night before and the call 2 911??
  12. I can't relate with most of the comments u guys have. EVERYONE knows i'm a huge JJ+FP fan. When people talk about me 2 other people it's like the most commonly known thing. I don't know why, i guess i just make it obvious. When i tell people for the 1st time about the music i like, nobody has ever laughed that I'm on of JJ+FP's biggest fans. Maybe back in the day (during the days of gangsta rap and hardcore hip-hop, some people would make a comment about it saying how they may not have taken them seriously, but that's it. The funny thing is, NOBODY has ever reacted saying they didn't know he made music. Everyone knows...and they know he was making it back in the 80's. What makes things even more weird is that EVERYONE i know (and i mean that literally) loves him. They simply think he's the greatest thing since sliced bread. Most of these people know him mostly from the blockbuster movies, then The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, then his music, but they all know him, they are familar with everything he does, and they love him. I noticed this a year ago. In my area, everyone simply loves and respects him. It's kinda cool 2 have been down with him since the beginning and come 2 place where pretty much everyone i speak 2 is a fan of his. I have friends go on vacations 2 Disney World and bring me back Men In Black keychains and buying me random FP-related things.
  13. Joe Jackson is really hard 2 ready. It's hard 2 understand his motives because of the way he talks. He just seemed very disconnected and random during that interview. It's probably why he didn't stay in the industry. At the same time, he just lost his son.
  14. It is kinda silly 2 require the artist 2 lipsync, but i'm sure it saves them lots of money and headaches. Maybe if it was being aired at 8 in the evening instead of 2 in the morning and more of a fanbase like back in the day it'd be different. It's all promotion tho'....work hard, make yourself accessable 2 fans.
  15. Mos Def vs KRS-One Mos Def wins with 60% (THIS SHOCKED ME ENOUGH 2 MAKE ME CONSIDER LEAVING THE BOARD...HA HA) Slick Rick vs Busta Slick Rick win with 60% (I EXPECTED IT 2 BE CLOSE...DIDN'T KNOW WHAT 2 EXPECT) Jay Z vs Nas Nas wins with 60% (ANOTHER CLOSE ONE...I THINK ONE OF THEM IS CLEARLY BETTER BUT I MUST SAY THAT I THOUGHT THE BOARD WOULD HAVE CHOSEN JAY-Z) Chuck D vs Will Smith Will Smith wins with 60% (I'M HAPPY FRESH PRINCE ONE...DIDN'T TOTALLY EXPECT THAT) Q Tip vs Biggie Biggie wins with 60% (I CAN'T AGREE ON ANY LEVEL WITH THIS ONE...BUT AT LEAST IT WAS CLOSE) Rakim vs LL Cool J Rakim wins with 70% (I CAN'T BE MAD...BUT IT HARD 2 SEE LL GO) 2 Pac vs Abstract Rude 2pac wins with 78% (I DIDN'T KNOW IF 2PAC COULD COME THRU' BY THAT MUCH...BUT HAPPY 2 SEE IT) Common vs Pharoah Monche Common wins with 100% (I'M NOT A REAL FAN OF PHAROAH MONCHE BUT I WAS SURPISED 2 SEE THE SHUT OUT FOR COMMON)
  16. JAMIZ - Get Loot Get Loot (CD Promo) (1994) After having the cassette single all these years, i finally found the unheard of CD promo...ha ha. I am the only person in the world who cares about this song. Except the guy on ebay who also bid on it making it go up 2 $55.
  17. It's never been released in the US. I remember seeing import versions online but the US have never seen it on it's shelves...which sucks. The cover u posted is awful...very generic.
  18. U can't just give music away. With all due respect, that's just stupid. I would like 2 see profits of the album go 2 a charity that MJ supported or something. I find it a little akward that someone like The Game is leading the song when he has zero connection 2 MJ. I mean, Usher and Chris Brown were obviously inspried by hime heavily. Boyz II Men not only were inspired by him but they also met him, sang on The Jacksons soundtrack (as well as appeared in the movie), and were on his HIStory album...plus the Motown connection. I'm sure The Game grew up on MJ and loved him, but the connection and style just aren't there.
  19. Other than the 2nd verse not blending well and the 2 different song topics, that was dope...both the blending and the video. I'll have 2 check out his other stuff.
  20. U can hear Usher in the background. Mario Winans doesn't have the kinda voice 2 comand attention unless he's up front so he's proably buried somewhere in the mix. I much rather have heard Boyz II Men, Usher, Mario Winans, and Chris Brown on the track without the rappers. I'm sure they'll all do covers for some kinda project soon. With the song being so short, it's hard 2 juggle all those artists and all that talent.
  21. I find it hard 2 believe that there's a "finsihed" album. He was always recording and always perfecting. We know there's probably enough music for him 2 release another 50 albums. One thing they really need 2 do is 2 release all previous VHS's on DVD. I remember a documentary from the mid-80's never got put on DVD. The Making of Thriller was never put on DVD, Moonwalker was never released on DVD and neither was Ghosts. Captain Eo (sp?) was also never released. I think the fans deserve alot of this stuff.
  22. Wow! That was fast. It's a good song too! I wish there was more time for the other artists 2 shine tho.' One of the better line ups for a posse cut than i've seen in awhile. I was just thinking 2day that there will definitely be a tribute album for MJ just like they did one for Luther Vandross.
  23. I thought that pic was from 1991. When was it taken? I was just thinking about his scene in MIIB. I just remember laughing so hard in theaters. MJ was hilarious. I like that they cut the MJ jokes out. If they aren't really distastefull, i don't see why they couldn't be in the outtakes...but i can't see a movie like that doing the fun kind of finger pointing. I wonder if there is video footage from this comeback tour that is polished enough to be shared with fans at some point. Who owns the right 2 his music? Will we ever hear the song that is confirmed that MJ did with FP? Will we hear it in it's original form. Is there more than one like there was speculated?
  24. It's interesting 2 hear all of the things that celebs are saying. I just saw an interview with the Godfather of MJ's kids and he said that people may have thought it was weird how he covered his kids with masks and stuff. However, he said that by doing so, nobody knew exactly what his kids looked like. He said how he would get to take the kids out without masks on and never had 2 worry about a crowd forming, threats, or kidnapping. That just blew my mind. MJ was a smart guy for that. The most sought after man in the world could let his kids out in2 the world without them being recognized. He also confirmed that MJ spent almost all of his time with his kids, where he felt happiest. He also felt that he was not a fit father because MJ was such an amazing father. He was assuming that MJ's parents would probably be taking care of the kids. Another thing that come 2 mind. For any die hard MJ supporter, the tarnish on his career over the last 15 years has been a painful thing. The lawsuits. The way people make fun of him. The way people think really awful things about him (which none of us know what the truth is). His appearnance. His comical actions. It has been painful to watch all this happen 2 him knowing that he is one of the greatest singers, songwriteres, dancers, producers, business man, and probably one of teh world's sweetest soul. He deserved 2 be on the top. He deserved to be in the lime light. He didn't deserve the negative media trash. He didn't deserve families that he helped out suing him. He didn't deserve to be torn away from from the art that he loved so much. In my personal life, i have been praying all year that my personal situations turn around. Some of them are gonna take some work, some time, some miracles. The cool thing is that why i look at MJ's career, it has all been restored in the blink of an eye. Yeah, they are talking about the stuff he had 2 go through. However, the media that stalked him and trash talked him is now supporting. So many people who just weren't into him over the past 15 years or even disrespected him are now praising him. For a real fan, it's frustrating that they could hate on him for years and now they wanna be a bandwagon fan who "was always down" with MJ. But getting shortly after being annoyed by that, i actually got happy that his legacy seems almost totally restored. His legacy is the most imporant thing. I doesn't seem like anyone on TV is focusing on the negative and the weird. They are eyes are opened and they are praising him for the genious that he is.
