  1. Ugh...am i the only one dealing with struggles this year? Anyway, as this year continues, more stuff has stayed the same and my situation with this girl has gotten worse...for no rational reason. Part of me is just demoralized about the whole thing. Part of me isn't that worried because I feel it's all gonna work out soon enough anyway. I gotta be real, there is not a single suicidal bone in my body, but I honestly thing 2 myself everyday that i really don't care if i die. Better dayz are coming....better dayz are coming...
  2. I really enjoyed this battle. I don't think Canibus was really trying 2 start a battle but at the same time, the lyrics don't come across 2 me as anything other than a diss 2 LL. I actually think it's hilarious that LL went back and changed his lyrics when he heard Canibus' verse. "2nd Round K.O." was a decent battle track but i think "The Ripper Strikes Back" is on the same level of "Hit 'Em Up." I think those are the most relentless battle trax ever. Only the 90's could produce trax like that. I think LL's lyrics on "The Ripper Strikes Back" are just insane and the beat is crazy. I tried 2 listen 2 Canibus' album but i just couldn't get in2 it. His voice annoyed me and his sound was 2 simplistic 2 me. I thought Wyclef's "What's Clef Got To Do With It" was pretty wack. Some of the lyrics were good but the beat and vibe of the song were all wrong. LL did his thing on "Rasta Impasta" but it was no where near the level of "The Ripper Strikes Back." I also remember hearing a Wyclef freestyle on a Tony Touch mixtape but it didn't hold much weight. I was never a fan of Canibus' so i didn't hear much from him other than his 1st album. Me and Brakes know that we will never agree on who came with it harder during this battle....ha ha.
  3. Ahhh...here is this topic again... "U Saw My Blinker" was JJ+FP poking fun at the harder Hip-Hop scene that swallowed up the potential of the success of their last album. He's rapping a funny story (totally Fresh Prince) in a dead serious tone and slipping a cuss word in2 the chorus. The funniest part is when they released the song as a single and FP performed it alone on MTV.
  4. The Slim Shady LP will always be my favorite album by him...followed by The Marshall Mathers LP. Since then, i've only truely liked 10 Eminem songs. Relapse is far from his 1st 2 mainstream albums, but i think it's so much better than anything he's done since those days. The internet is destroying the music industry. Leaked albums and even official downloads have made it so that there are less music fans who acctually care about the artists or their album. People can't make real money in the industry with out doing all the other stuff involved in the industry. Everything is effected. The radio sucks. The artists who are popular are all the same and seriously lack talent. Real artists no longer make music because they don't want 2 adjust 2 all the B.S. of the current industry.
  5. That whole concert is dope. I need 2 watch it again. L+F was such a dope era. If only the album got more sucess it would have lasted longer and some of us wouldn't be worried about musical retirement.
  6. I don't wanna see anything K Smith unless the real Fresh Prince is involved.
  7. Ha ha...i think it's funny that they are tearing apart the album and it's the actual album. And that I actually like alot of this album compared 2 the wack D12 albums, the Re-Up album, and Eminem's last 2 albums.
  8. That's such a good song. LFO + DE LA SOUL - Alaina Life Is Good (2001) I'm seeing them live July...ha ha
  9. It says u can vote once every 12 hours...let's keep voting.
  10. Awesome article! They need 2 come back with a new R-N-B album...with a track featuring FP and Hammer.
  11. I don't think the voting here was any better than the Vibe one. U still had the same problems where wack emcees will progress 2 round 2 while some legends and pioneers will be left behind becuz they were up against another legend. Not 2 mention taking about half an hour 2 make all the votes.
  12. Shouldn't the JJ+FP General Discusion board at least be at the of the forum?
  13. Those freestyles were ill!! Why doesn't he have stuff like that on the album?!? He needs 2 lay off Christopher Reeves tho'...it's just inappropriate.
  14. What cracked me up about Eminem years ago is that he would diss anyone he could (usually pop groups and artists who would never stand up 2 him in the music cuz it wouldn't make sense) or just say stuff about them, not as a diss, but inappropriate none the less. But whenever someone dissed him, he would become this loud mouth baby about it. He can dish it out, but he could never take it.
  15. Brakes, u forgot the most important thing.....LYRICS.
  16. That's a bit on the dramatic side if u ask me. Jeff is laid back. I'm more surprised at Skillz since he voiced his opinion the way it did. I see it as time passing and resolution 2 something that only music fans are worrying about. Eminem seems 2 want 2 get 2 a better place in his music and having Jazzy and Skillz there was a good move compared 2 having people like 50 Cent which not only would have been more easy for him 2 get but what the audience would have wanted 2 see. It was also a good exposure for Jazzy and Skillz. I think we are making a big deal outta something that really isn't a big deal at all. I think it would have been hilarious if FP rushed the stage for a track.
  17. Let's give it all we got. Spead the word when the voting is on the next step.
  18. MARKY MARK + THE FUNKY BUNCH - Wildside Music For The People (1991) My brother is actually listening 2 it in the other room...i didn't know he was still in2 the Hip-Hop we grew up on...ha ha.
  19. JASON MRAZ - Mudhouse We Steal Things (EP) (2008)
  20. Big Daddy Kane, Doug E. Fresh, Greg Nice (Nice + Smooth), Treach (Naughty By Nature), Salt (Salt-N-Pepa), Kid (Kid N' Play), Scarface (Geto Boys), Father MC, Foxy Brown.
  21. I definitely wanna read this...i just have soooooooo many books i've never got around 2 reading tho.' Definitely someday.
  22. I like her. I heard her on that one JT song he released online but never followed her. I like this song excellent dance/pop. She's got alot more class and better lyrics some other popular dance artists out there. I'm gonna keep my eye on her. Thanx for sharing this.
