  1. Maybe the commercial THIS year is... Are u suggesting that someone who has called "Summertime" his favorite song since 1991 is mistaking whether the commercial is playing the JJ+FP classic?
  2. I hadn't heard that yet. That's ridiculous. What did they expect him 2 play? Middle America just got electricity last year so i guess they won't be ready for Hip-Hop for about another 60 years.
  3. FRESH PRINCE + DJ KOOL - We Won't Lost + Found (Import) (2005) Man, i've been listening 2 this all week. It's gettin' my hyped like when i 1st heard it. I can't stop rapping along 2 it...ha ha.
  4. Yeah, i saw all of these on Jeff's Facebook page.
  5. They people behind the Hip-Hop Honors probably put 2gether who they want on the show. From there, if an artist or group can't/won't participate, they change the line up. It wouldn't surprise me if they have been trying 2 do JJ+FP but maybe FP isn't available or ready. Think about it. It's weird that he hasn't even been at one.....but Jazzy has...
  6. Cool...LL Cool J, Public Enemy, Beastie Boys, Method Man, EPMD, Onyx, Foxy Brown, Redman, and the list goes on. I love the idea. I could do without Tracy Morgan tho.' Cool J has already been honored, he should host it. He's hosted a few award shows over the years.
  7. Ha...what's the big deal about this. A song on an album most of us have with the picture of the album cover.
  8. I was annoyed 2...ha ha. I like Mos Def alot, but Left Eye was 100 times more creative and versitile. I don't think many people know her ability since her place in TLC kept her so limited at times.
  9. Ha! I remember when Eazy-E would perform "Real Compton City G's" he'd bring out the old World Class Wreckin' Crew pix of Dre smiling in those tight suits, rocking make-up, and smiling big. Nuttin' But A G Thang, baby.
  10. RICH CRONIN - This Year Billon Dollar Sound (2008)
  11. Sometimes it is...sometimes it is only cuz things get better thru' actions that could have taken place much earlier so people didn't have 2 say time heals all...ha ha. The weird thing is, tho' i find peace in the promise that is in my heart, i still can't sleep. My whole body is tensed up and after 2 hours of sleep, i just lay in bed and get back back 2 sleep. I don't like 2 take medication. If things continue this way i may consider it. Other issues in life still weigh me down. My grandparents are having health issues. My dad got laid off from his job again.
  12. I remember seeing that "The Vibe I'm On..." cover online back when it was new. Well, it wasn't the actual cover, it was just a promo pic that looked just like the cover. I wish Jazzy would release his mixtapes thru' his website. I'd love 2 have flawless CD quality of them...CONTINUOUS PLAY with no track breakdowns.
  13. Ugh...am i the only one dealing with struggles this year? Anyway, as this year continues, more stuff has stayed the same and my situation with this girl has gotten worse...for no rational reason. Part of me is just demoralized about the whole thing. Part of me isn't that worried because I feel it's all gonna work out soon enough anyway. I gotta be real, there is not a single suicidal bone in my body, but I honestly thing 2 myself everyday that i really don't care if i die. Better dayz are coming....better dayz are coming...
  14. I really enjoyed this battle. I don't think Canibus was really trying 2 start a battle but at the same time, the lyrics don't come across 2 me as anything other than a diss 2 LL. I actually think it's hilarious that LL went back and changed his lyrics when he heard Canibus' verse. "2nd Round K.O." was a decent battle track but i think "The Ripper Strikes Back" is on the same level of "Hit 'Em Up." I think those are the most relentless battle trax ever. Only the 90's could produce trax like that. I think LL's lyrics on "The Ripper Strikes Back" are just insane and the beat is crazy. I tried 2 listen 2 Canibus' album but i just couldn't get in2 it. His voice annoyed me and his sound was 2 simplistic 2 me. I thought Wyclef's "What's Clef Got To Do With It" was pretty wack. Some of the lyrics were good but the beat and vibe of the song were all wrong. LL did his thing on "Rasta Impasta" but it was no where near the level of "The Ripper Strikes Back." I also remember hearing a Wyclef freestyle on a Tony Touch mixtape but it didn't hold much weight. I was never a fan of Canibus' so i didn't hear much from him other than his 1st album. Me and Brakes know that we will never agree on who came with it harder during this battle....ha ha.
  15. Ahhh...here is this topic again... "U Saw My Blinker" was JJ+FP poking fun at the harder Hip-Hop scene that swallowed up the potential of the success of their last album. He's rapping a funny story (totally Fresh Prince) in a dead serious tone and slipping a cuss word in2 the chorus. The funniest part is when they released the song as a single and FP performed it alone on MTV.
  16. The Slim Shady LP will always be my favorite album by him...followed by The Marshall Mathers LP. Since then, i've only truely liked 10 Eminem songs. Relapse is far from his 1st 2 mainstream albums, but i think it's so much better than anything he's done since those days. The internet is destroying the music industry. Leaked albums and even official downloads have made it so that there are less music fans who acctually care about the artists or their album. People can't make real money in the industry with out doing all the other stuff involved in the industry. Everything is effected. The radio sucks. The artists who are popular are all the same and seriously lack talent. Real artists no longer make music because they don't want 2 adjust 2 all the B.S. of the current industry.
