  1. I think you guys are underestimating this movie. It may not be all the Charlize Theron is saying, but I'm confident that it will be much better than "Men in Black II", "Wild Wild West", "I, Robot", and even "I Am Legend".
  2. http://www.variety.com/article/VR111798240...yid=13&cs=1 'Amulet' Acting sibs Willow and Jaden Smith are attached to star in Warners' adaptation of Kazu Kibuishi's "Amulet." Akiva Goldsman's Weed Road shingle and Will Smith and James Lassiter's Overbrook Entertainment will produce. Graphic novel centers on a brother and sister who move into their late great-grandfather's home after their father dies. They must use his amulet to rescue their widowed mother from a beast who lures her into an underground world. Five books are planned in the Scholastic series, with the second installment skedded for release this year. Seven-year-old Willow next appears in "Kit Kittredge: An American Girl Mystery," due from Picturehouse in June, and previously appeared with her father in "I Am Legend." Nine-year-old Jaden appeared with his dad in "The Pursuit of Happyness" and next appears in Fox's remake of "The Day the Earth Stood Still." He's also attached to "Newton's Law," another Overbrook project set up at Columbia. Weed Road and Overbrook have collaborated on several earlier projects, including "I Am Legend" and the upcoming "Hancock."
  3. mini spoiler: His character was in a big car accident
  4. Here's Charlize Theron talking about "Hancock" with MTV. http://www.mtv.com/movies/news/articles/1583375/story.jhtml MTV: I'm pretty excited to see "Hancock" this summer. You and Will Smith in a unique take on a superhero story. Rumor has it that you get some superhero action in it. Theron: Oh, I get superhero action! Oh, yeah. MTV: I meant, are you a superhero at any point? Theron: Oh, no. I just get some superhero action. That's much better than being a superhero. And superhero action by Will Smith? You can't get any better than that. I was like, where do I sign? I just recently saw it. It's really an original film. [Director] Peter Berg really did something that I haven't seen before, so I'm very excited to be a part of it. I love it. It kind of flips off the whole idea of genre. You couldn't categorize it into any genre.
  5. his character is suicidal, so maybe that's it.
  6. Will has started filmin "Seven Pounds". here's some pics: http://www.pagesix.com/story/will+s+wet+set
  7. Liked it a little better, the butterfly stuff makes more sense in this one. Just wish the monsters looked better.
  8. Will is looking younger! Also, why is Tom Cruise there? Can they do anything apart! (Will and Tom)
  9. Yeah I read that last night. I'm sorry but that sounds like a really boring movie. Wine Fraud is not on my list of interesting subjects.
  10. I heard that Jada's a lesbian in the movie.
  11. Horrible News! He was such a gifted young actor and seemed like a really good down to earth guy. He was gonna be huge after the "Dark Knight" came out. RIP
  12. Well, negative? He's just saing that "It's hard to imagine Will Smith spitting curse words at a judge in a movie". I would love to see will do this. Will screaming at a judge, i imagine it to sound kinda like the last ten seconds of "I Wanna Rock" but with some curse words thrown in there. And, will cursed in BB I and II, so he shouldn't have a "moral" problem with doing that again... C'mon it's Spielberg, I think most actors would do any role he asks them to do, and I don't think (or hope) that Will would be different. It's has an underlining current that has been echoed more feriously in other post around the web that people have a hard time seeing or wanting "fan friendly" and "safe" black man like Will Smith playing a black panther. Not my thoughts at all, but what others are saying.
  13. http://www.themanroom.com/news/I_Am_Legend...ray_HD_DVD/1933 According to a newly unveiled retail standee, Warner Brothers will release I Am Legend, starring Will Smith, March 18 on Blu-ray Disc and DVD. Keeping true to their recent Blu-ray allegiance plans unveiled at CES, the studio will hold back the HD DVD release until April 8. That's a full three weeks after the Blu-ray bows. The standee also tells us these releases will include an alternate theatrical version of the film with controversial ending. Whether this ending will be seamlessly branched or not remains to be seen. What surprises us is the fast turnaround Warner has applied to their big holiday hit. Our guesstimates placed I Am Legend for a late April release at best, not a hair over three weeks after first appearing in theaters. Don't get us wrong; we'll take it as soon as we can get it! Disc specs, pricing, special features, cover art, HD DVD orientation (standard or Combo) and pre-order information should become available with the official Warner announcement, which we expect within the next few days, or sometime next week.
  14. Yeah, this is really an American story...could have limited appeal in foriegn markets even with Will and Spielberg. Rad, is it true that he's going to get a very small role as the 8th member of Chicago 7 ? I've read the story and it seems like it's a pretty small role. If I'm not mistaken he's up for the role of Bobby Seale. Yeah, I don't see him getting cast as anyone but Bobby Seale. He was the only one of the people on trial who was African American. Maybe one of the attorneys on either side was black, but I don't see Will getting cast in a smallish role like that. This link gives some good background on the event and the people involved...though the person is negative on Will being in the movie and Spielberg directing. http://www.chud.com/index.php?type=news&id=13157
  15. Yeah, this is really an American story...could have limited appeal in foriegn markets even with Will and Spielberg.
  16. whoops, my bad...didn't know about the other thread.
  17. Not really Will related but shows Tome Cruise rambling on about Scientology http://gawker.com/5002269/the-cruise-indoc...ied-to-suppress This guy is nuts...Will needs to get away from him!
  18. http://www.collider.com/entertainment/news...aid/6650/tcid/1 Will is involved!!
  19. That's horrible. What exactly did they say Radewart ? Oh he was talking about how people are disappointed with a very popular middle age african american male, leading you to think he was talking about Barack Obama, then he annouces "that Will Smith is now a scientologist! Then he read some important quotes from the scientologist book that Will would need to remember. It was a buch of weird science mumbo jumbo.
  20. They were making fun of it on the "Colbet Report" on Comedy Central. It's a spoof of the political shows you would see on CNN.
  21. http://www.variety.com/index.asp?layout=ch...rdid=1117786658 listed in the cast.
  22. Well... Blu-Ray sales just went up. I personally like HD-DVD, but Holographic Disks are going to be the thing of the future in just a few short years. Nice to see Will doing these extra features though. How do we see the "sneak peak" of the film?
  23. Tommy Lee Jones and Kevin Kilen were in comedies. Wanna see him act with other great actors in serious dramas. Bagger Vance is not good. Enemy of the State was good though, him and Hackman were great, but Will has grown as an actor since then. Martin Lawrence is awful when he's not co-starring with Will in Bad Boys movies.
  24. If he did this movie, it sound like he would be playing Bobby Seale, a black panther leader. That would be a real change of pace for Will. He was removed from the trail of the others and given his own, because he was consistently in contempt of court. He would relentlessly curse at the Judge.
  25. I always wanted him to be in ensemble with other great actors.
