  1. For some reason I can't cut and past the article, but I've put the link below. It essentially says someone broke into LL's crib at about 2am last night and fought him with his bare hands and then kept him there til the cops came. http://globalgrind.com/news/ll-cool-j-robbery-burglar-home-details-photos Now, my thing is, how the heck is someone STUPID enough to beak in LL's house while he's home KNOWING he's a boxer and in impeccable shape. I just know how I feel at night when I'm sleeping and I hear an occasional strange noise...I walk the crib with a baseball bat to make sure everything is in order...LOL. Thank God this guy didn't have a gun or at least couldn't use it. Can you imagine how other so-call "bad boy" rappers would have acted in the situation? God bless LL Cool J.
  2. I loved Rihanna when she first dropped. Her first two albums are classics in my mind and take me back to a good place. I appreciated her third album that propelled her to the success that she's at now. I don't always love all of her music now, but I remain a fan, hoping the commercial glitz will fall off soon and that the young woman on the inside will make more of an appearance in her music. This interview talks about her growing up, her career, and of course; the Chris Brown episode. If you are any interest in her, this is a great interview and shows the real Rihanna....she sans the over the top outfits, hair, make-up, etc. Check it. http://globalgrind.com/entertainment/rihanna-full-oprah-interview-next-chapter-chris-brown-video
  3. I think it's awesome that two of FP's movies are getting this treatment. I can't wait to see ID4 in theaters again. I kind of wish they'd put I, Robot in theaters again for a week. The nostalgia would great!
  4. I have the bootleg of this! Old school, baby. All about energy. Skills were just a necessity back then...not rarity.
  5. Well, she passed away about an hour ago. She struggled a bit in the last 20 hours but she didn't suffer. 87 years well-lived.
  6. My grandmother had a heart attack last night. They said the first eight hours were the most critical and she's passed through that time frame. It's very difficult seeing someone who had a huge part in raising you struggle like that. I'd appreciate anyone who would be willing to say a prayer on the matter. I'd love to see a full recovery. She's 87 and has some health challenges but I'd like to her come out and enjoy more time in a normal, relaxed state. I would hate to have her last hours/days be struggling from something like that. It has certainly put a perspective on how I've been living my crazy busy life and not having time to put into the most IMPORTANT things.
  7. This isn't one of my first choices for a single...but I love the energy on this one. The visuals in this new video are great.
  8. ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT - Raga In Collangatta Standing At The Crossroads (2012)
  9. Ha...totally POH era. Whoever that kid is, he ain't so "yung" now.
  10. He is truly one of the most level headed and positive cats out there based on this interview. I'm waiting for new music from him!
  11. I can't blame him. He has a great and very successful set of movies here. But it's about time for Bad Boys to get off the ground. I think it's important that Bay is the director. The fact that most of the team from Bad Boys worked on Bad Boys 2 is what made it the amazingly dope movie that it is.
  12. RICH CRONIN - Hazel Eyes (2006?) Rich was dating this girl, Meredith, for a while and wrote this song for her (she's the girl in the pic). The remained friends and when he passed she put the song up for everyone to hear. Not sure if anyone here might like it.
  13. I'm hyped because they are coming to DC in September and I just got tickets!! AD is one of the few groups in Hip-Hop and I feel is truly flawless. Their lyrics and vocals are on point, as is their production. Their live show is great, and best of all, they are some of the coolest people you'd every wanna meet. I'm rehearsing for a show so I've been stuck listening to the music for that, but the few times that I've listened to this new album, I've loved every song. Next month I'll really get to dig into it.
  14. Sounds like I'm gonna have to buy some garbage music to hear some new Fresh Prince...lol.
  15. Ahhhh...the energy of old school Hip-Hop. This is dope!
  16. Thanks! I subscribed to her a little bit ago but I've never actually gone thru' her pix.
  17. GAVLYN - Hour Glass (2012) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rwTT_QTSrPY&feature=related I love her sound. Icky Minaj should give this a listen so she knows why she should quit recording.
  18. He's just entertaining people. I don't see what your problem is with it. He's talented and people love him. Television and film aren't exactly helping take his career to the next level (if that's even what he wants). If he's having a good time and making some money off it and spreading joy doing...what's the problem?
  19. I wouldn't say we've got NOTHIN.' We know music has been recorded. We got the verse on the Summertime 3 mixtape. We've seen him perform a few places.
  20. JUSTIN BIEBER - Catching Feelings Believe (2012) Hate me if you want. I love this song.
  21. WOODY ROCK w/ DRU HILL - My Homie Soul Music (2002) This album went completely under the radar...unfortunately.
  22. U COULD skip to 34.03...BUT WHY WOULD U WANT 2?!?!? Thanx for posting this!!
  23. Jada Pinkett Smith on the Divorce Rumors: Enough Already! By Maggie Coughlan 08/10/2012 at 10:05 AM EDT Jada Pinkett Smith Courtesy ESSENCE Will Smith See more photos, news and a full bio Jada Pinkett Smith is an experienced hand at dealing with rumors she's headed for divorce. "It seems like that happens at least once a year, or at least once every two years," Pinkett Smith, 40, tells September's Essence. "It's rumored that we're getting a divorce. But no. We're not getting a divorce. Where am I gonna go? Where am I going to go?" she says of her 15-year marriage to husband Will Smith. "That's my boo. It's like he's another part of me." The Madagascar 3 star, who is mom to Jaden, 14, and Willow, 11, knows that living her life in the spotlight comes with consequences. Aside from defending her relationship with Smith, 44, Pinkett Smith is now dealing with how the public perceives her daughter as she steps out into a musical career. "How people feel about Willow is how people feel about Willow. But what I'm most concerned about is how Willow feels about herself," she says. "She's an independent, courageous, genius, talented little girl. I'm happy for her, that she can just be who she is." It was Willow who recently made a discovery that changed Pinkett Smith's life. After Willow shared with the viral Kony 2012 video about child soldiers in Uganda, Pinkett Smith was driven to learn more about how she could help endangered children, specifically victims of sex trafficking. She's since urged Congress to fight trafficking, launched a website and met with victims. "We're all affected by this," she says. "And one woman is one woman too many. We have to extend beyond ourselves" to help those who've been enslaved.
