  1. 50 years from now, nobody will look back on this era of Hip-Hop and remember much. Maybe Black Eyed Peas and OutKast. People like 50 Cent may be hot now...but their music and careers are disposable and everything will be 4gotten. Nobody's gonna look back at people like him like Rakim, Public Enemy, 2pac and so on.
  2. ERIC B. + RAKIM - Paid In Full (the delux edition)
  3. FP isn't going bald. He has just grown up. He's no longer the skinny, goofy kid he waz. The high-top Philly fade has been modefied. Nothing more 2 it than that.
  4. Yeah, that stuff is no secret. It sad 2 see a pioneers creative juices go dry.
  5. 1/6 to scale custom-made Will Smith head!! JUST WHAT I ALWAYS WANTED!! :scared2:
  6. FP intended 2 get this album out, he just isn't focused on it anymore...at least not right now. He'll do it when he's ready. kbfprince, what's the deal with your avatar?!?
  7. Back in 2000, Dr. Dre made the comment that Willennium waz the worst Hip-Hop album out at the moment. I didn't hear it or read it, but someone else did and posted it. He waz either piggy-backing off all the hype Eminem caused with his line in "Real Slim Shady," or like Eminem, waz offended by FP's speech at the MTV Award show where he waz stressing that he always stayed true 2 himself and didn't need 2 kill nobody in his music 2 get where he is. If u are a loser like Eminem and get offended by a comment like that and take it personal 2 the point that u react 2 it, it clearly shows u are not being true 2 yourself. Only someone no confident in themseles and their music would act like that. What a punk.
  8. I like that idea. I like also think it would be hilarous if Slick Rick played the old lady in the song by slightly changing his voice!!
  9. I feel u on that. Dr. Dre helped put things down 4 Hip-Hop back in the day. He should have more respect 4 the culture and the music. He's grown up...all that phoney gun-talk, and talk about girls and stuff is so fake. He knows life is much more than all that petty stuff that he records about. He needs 2 either grow up or retire. It's like he graduated from the game, but purposly stayed in 1st grade.
  10. I agree that "Summertime" is an untouchable classic. However, if JJ+FP did a remake album, i think they probably would remake it...so i had 2 put it on there.
  11. BOYZ II MEN - Human II (Don't Turn Your Back On Me)
  12. These are the ones i sent... How do you feel about the commercial state of Hip-Hop? What do you feel are the best songs you've recorded in your career? Would you ever consider a DJ Jazzy Jeff + Fresh Prince reunion album and tour? In the future, do you see yourself working more behind the scenes of music or film? Off all the music and movie awards you've earned, which one means the most? Is there anything about your career that you wish you could do over? How do you feel about the time you spent signed to Columbia Records?
  13. I would kill for JJ+FP 2 basically start from scratch with keeping the bulk of the lyrics the same, and the some feel 2 the production in mind, but 2 totally remake all these trax 4 an album. JJ+FP: REmakes 1. New Kids On The Block/Brand New Funk feat. Ready Rock C 2. As We Go 3. Rock The House feat. Ready Rock C 4. The Things U Do 5. Just Rockin' feat. Run + DMC 6. I'm Looking For The One (To Be With Me) 7. Numero Uno feat. LL Cool J 8. The Groove feat. The Roots 9. Just Kickin' It 10. U Saw My Blinker 11. I Wanna Rock - Pump Me Up Medley 12. It's All Good 13. Potnas feat. Ready Rock C 14. A Touch of Jazz (with FP on the mic) 15. Summertime feat. Tatyana Ali (on the hook) 16. Live At Union Square (November 2004)
  14. I think most of JJ+FP's recordings would be interesting if they were remade. If had a choice of about 16 trax (about the length of an album), what songs would u like 2 hear totally remade from scratch...mostly the same lyrics and a few signature sounds from the original production, but totally re-done 4 the current year.
  15. There's a few JJ+FP trax i'd like 2 hear re-made 4 the current year. I waz gonna make a post about it last week but never did...i guess i will now.
  16. I like alot of Dr. Dre's music...it's a very talented guy...but he's a sell-out. In 1996, he did all these interviews saying "Gangsta rap is dead." Saying how fake it is and that it's all business. It's not like we didn't already know that, but waz great seeing on of the forefathers of that style of rap say it's fake and it's gone 2 far. He comes out with that Aftermath album and a song like "Been There Done That" making it look like good things are one the way. He talked about making albums with no profanity and all that. Next thing u know Chronic 2001 is taking it back 2 that old style. Sure, some of the trax had a good message and nearly every beat waz dope....but all that cussing, weed-smoking, gun-talking trash waz back. It may have been a good business move, but we all know it's fake. Sorry Dre, big sell-out moves will not go over with real fans. All this pansy G-Unit rubbish has nothing 2 do with the whole G-Funk, Dre, Snoop, Warren G, Nate Dogg, Dogg Pound stuff.
  17. Yeah, FP will be in all the history books as the 1st black President...and 50 Cent's fame will have died about 40 years ago. :thumb:
  18. Yeah, he's said many times that it waz very hard 2 sell the idea of the movie 2 him. I've never seen the whole thing, but i liked what i saw. I've heard alot of people say how it's confusing...just imagin not seeing it and someone telling u what it's about...that's how FP waz. I wouldn't take do the movie either if i couldn't understand it. I've done a show b4 where i waz a lead character and it waz really confusing....one of the biggest challenges i've ever had.
  19. WELCOME 2 DA BOARD!! Around 98/99, FP invited Ready Rock C 2 get down 4 some work on Willennium, but Ready Rock C felt that he waz done wrong and didn't wanna be a part of it. It's a shame. That 3 part chemistry would have sounded great and Ready Rock C could have used it as a stepping stone 2 his own career which he has mentioned wanting 2 get off the ground.
