  1. Well, he my be doing Hollywood stuff or with family...but who knows. It would freak if i do get 2 go and he shows up. I could see FP playing all this pranks on Jeff and making old-jokes about him. If i go, i better bring Fart Spray. That'll be my present 2 Jeff. Maybe he'll be so impressed with my sense of humor that we'll cut a record 2gether.
  2. Yeah, the motivation he got back in 1996 and 1997 2 do music again has since disappeared. If he never did Big Willie Style, i don't think he would have gotten the motivation 2 keep recording. Unless he's trying 2 be a musical savior, the mainstream side of Rap music is dead and has been 4 awhile. Acts like Black Eyed Peas are the only ones being real and making good music.
  3. Yes, i must admit that i went over there and voted da 'Prince as the sexiest man. :hilarious: What kinda garbage poll is that?!? There are some ugly and washed up guys there, i can't see why FP is last. I'm guessing there are some dedicated that are wasting their time by voting 4 the same person over and over again.
  4. Very nice...i haven't gone there in awhile.
  5. I'd like 2 knock Borne Supremacy off my list and add on Breaking All The Rules (feat. Jamie Foxx and Gabrielle Union). I just watched it 2nite and i LOVE THIS MOVIE!!
  6. THANX!! That sound incredible!! I'd love 2 see Jeff again...especially alongside Pete Rock, Maseo, and Biz Markie. I'm gonna see if i can get off work and get tickets soon after!! I almost saw Jeff at club Fluid 2 years ago but plans fell thru.'
  7. I don't dislike people cuz they are mainstream...after all, i claim 2 be one of JJ+FP's biggest fans and they have crazy mainstream success. I don't like Ludacris cuz i don't like many of his rhymes, i don't like his flow, style, or production. Don't bug out, i'm sure u dislike alot of stuff i listen 2. I'm just sayin that a song with Ludacris dosen't make sense 2 me. I don't feel that their talent is equal and there are alot of other artists who would sound better alongside FP.
  8. Born To Reign is a summertime album 2 me. 75% of the time that i listen 2 it is between May and August.
  9. yeah if will said this is the best album of my career i really wouldnt take much notice..but if jeffs saying its really dope..i think we can be pretty sure its really dope! That comment waz talking about the idea of them touring. With every album, they talk about doing it...but it always ends up being just a few shows, with only 1 or 2 of them commerically advertised.
  10. Rakim's album has been in the works for years. I think when he left Aftermath, he abandoned most of the material 2 start over (a real disappointment). I'm thinkin' it'll come out this year cuz he seems really motivated. It would be great if JJ+FP, Public Enemy, and Rakim toured 2gether. I don't think that would be good 4 the younger fans who wanna see "WILL SMITH" but i think the Hip-Hop Community would come out 2 see that and it would re-establish all 3 acts.
  11. When it comes 2 working with other artists, i simply want them 2 have chemistry and 4 the song 2 make sense. As long as the guest artist has talent, it's all 2 the goodie. When they did "So Fresh," the talent and chemistry waz explosive and the song made sense. When they did "Da Butta"...Lil' Kim of course lacked on skillz, the collabo didn't really make sense, and the chemistry waz there, but nothing like on "So Fresh" or "Who Am I." I think that's why most of us thind "Da Butta" is one of the weaker trax he's done. In my opinion, i don't think Petey Pablo or Ludacris working with FP makes much sense, and i for one ?uestion their talent.
  12. Yeah, Jeff has always supported FP and praised his skillz...but he's really never commented on the music itself.
  13. USHER - Caught Up Anyone heard the remix feat. Fabolous? I wanna hear it but passed up the vinyl single assuming i'll find it on CD.
  14. Thanx!! Sounds great!!...but it also sounds like the stuff they say b4 every album.
  15. TONI BRAXTON - How Many Ways (R. Kelly Remix) Toni Braxton is so overlooked this days...thanx 2 Arista's awful promotion. I'm hoping her next album puts her back on top. I just bought her Platinum & Gold Collection and it's reminding me what a great talent she is.
  16. Other than BLACKstreet, i don't remember much from Teddy Riley after the mid-90's. He produced Queen Pen's 1st album, the Guy III album (of course), the last 2 BLACKstreet albums...other spots on Sisqo's 2nd album, Profyle's 2nd album. He's a talented guy but gets overlooked alot these days. Some of his late-90's/early 00's work is a bit weaker, but he definitly got back in2 the swing of things with that last BLACKstreet album "Level II." I think FP should have had him produce a track for Big Willie Style or Willennium.
  17. I do the same as Julie, i listen 2 like the 1st 20 seconds of each track so i can get a feel 4 the album, then i go back and listen 2 it start 2 finish.
  18. "Homebase" marked the maturity of JJ+FP. Their style 2 this day is very true 2 how they've always been...but musically "Homebase" marked a new JJ+FP. It waz after their fame dwindled, they had money issues, and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air helped keep them on their feet. In "Act Like You Know" FP spits "i'm a pressure player, i'ma hit it when it counts"...which is so true. Whenever it's crucial, FP always brings the heat. After "And In This Corner..." the future of JJ+FP waz undesided. "Homebase" put them back on top due 2 the musical advances they took and FP's lyrical rebirth.
  19. Wow, that must have been alot 2 take in all at once!! When i got them all on CD (to replace the cassettes) i got the 1st 4 albums all at once.
  20. No, i think the song hit right on time. Teddy Riley dosen't make trax like that anymore. The production is just a good mix of Hip-Hop and R-N-B with that New Jack Swing feel TR is famous 4. FP's lyrics are definitly 1993. He takes on all those phoney gangsta rappers by keeping the JJ+FP sound new and fresh 4 the "nine-trey" and even calls them out.
  21. Ha ha...opps....how could i mix that up...it only has the early-mid 90's New Jack Swing sound all over it. I'm thinkin' about "Shadow Dreams." I think that song lyrically waz on the same page as "Summertime." Not that the production is far behind it either. "Just Kickin' It" has the same feel-good feel and flawless production of "Summertime."
