It's called "old school." Alot of Hip-Hoppers from back then wore glasses like that. If u wanan see some killer glasses, look up some old Run-DMC pix. DMC had some crazy glasses, compared 2 Jazzy's.

Wes is laughing cuz u said Eminem didn't ruin 2Pac's legacy. lambert, just cuz u like all that Shady and G-Unit stuff dosen't mean any of your assumptions are respectable. While 2Pac waz alive, he recorded trax with people like Ice Cube, Treach, Digital Underground, Method Man, Redman, E-40, Snoop Dogg, etc. Do u honestly put G-Unit in the same category as them? No way!! And are u saying that Eminem's production can stand against the production of Shock-G, Easy Mo Bee, Soulshock + Karlin, Johnny J? If u honestly believe that, u have disillusioned yourself so bad, that i don't know what 2 tell u. Yes, i think alot of people u like suck, but that isn't what it's about. It's about Hip-Hop and quality music. U say u respect legends in Hip-Hop, but all u rave and rant about is Eminem, G-Unit and so on. Their music dosen't represent Hip-Hop music or have any ties 2 the day of old skool. U say stuff like that all the time and u don't back it up. There no way 2Pac's music from late 80's thru' 1996 is anything like his doctored and remixed stuff from 2000 up until now. Very few trax were kept in their original form or even try 2 what they were meant 2 me. No matter who u like or what u think, Eminem and G-Unit were never meant 2 be part of his legacy. If the newer stuff waz meant 2 be part of his legacy, his long time fans wouldn't be so upset with the newer stuff...mainly Loyal To The Game. And Bracesup, i know i have most of those trax u listed, i'll try 2 check 2nite when i get off work.

U wanna know the worst part, i wazn't gonna bug Jeff while he waz spinin'...but i waz gonna stay until he waz finished and see if he had a second 2 chill or ask if he needed help packin' up. Well, when i left the block party 2 a second (2 get the ultra crappy camera used 2 take this picture), my friend Russ talked 2 him 4 a second and Jeff said we could hang out 4 a bit and he'd sign some stuff 4 me. I got back and we had 2 cut out early cuz my girlfriend had 2 be home by a certain time (and we were 5 hours away from home). After we got home, my friend Russ told me what Jeff said. I could have killed him. I would have told my girlfriend 2 walk!! j/k :cwm:

I don't like Jadakiss. His voice is annoying and his lyrics are a dime a dozen. I have his album from about 2001 (only cuz DMX is on it and i got a crazy deal on the price) and i never listen 2 it. It's funny how music reflects their personality. I saw him on Punk'd and he just got on nerves. There's no getting around the fact that rappers with commercial success get it thru' the fans who are ignorant 2 good music. They certainly don't have the skillz or heart 2 back up their sales.

I might have 2 download that and compare it 2 the version i have (when it comes 2 quality). I think the song is pretty good. It waz done back when Eminem had skill. I don't think Jazzy would do another track with him after all the beef hype.

It isn't simply the music, it's alot of things. Lables need 2 be picky about who they sign. They'll sign anyone these days. Most these guys haven't been exposed 2 any more street violence than half of us on the board have, that's all they talk about. These rappers are filled with pride and have the big egos. They talk about all this violence and they wonder why beefs start. They think they are untouchable. Lables need 2 stop signing people like this. The artists need 2 watch what they say. They have no idea how many young, impressionable minds are out there listening 2 every word they say. There's also a bunch of teenagers who should know better who buy in2 that kinda music and try2 be something they aren't. The media also buys in2 this crap and put it out there. They put every negative story they can find (or invent one) and put it out there. I've always been a strong minded individual, so even at a young age, i didn't really listen 2 that stuff. I've been complaining about commerical Hip-Hop for over 10 years the way we usually do on this board. But back in the day, artists not only rarely talked about violence, but they were responcible and offered solutions, not just talking about it. For years people like LL Cool J, TLC, Arrested Development, JJ+FP, etc have addressed this issue (and they are the ones who struggle 2 get the sales they did earlier in their careers). Let's sum it all up, it's the labels' fault, the artists' fault, the media's, and even the fans of people who buy that kinda music. The sad thing is, people who buy 50 Cent's music buy it cuz it's "hot"...but alot of those people know his lyrics and image are bogus. Those are the fans i blame.

Except 4 the fact it's really blurry. Half the pix i took that day ended up really blurry, which sucks.

That's why i say they need 2 do a remastered double disc version. All those extended versions need 2 be remastered and re-released. It's a Hip-Hop classic. If they can do stuff like that for Paid In Full and Illmatic, they can do it 4 He's The DJ, I'm The Rapper.

Yeah, there's actually a pic of The Wayens and FP in there. I can't remember all the cameos, but u can see Ali, Babyface, Montell Jordan, amoungst others.

I've totally neglected this post. Simply becuz i'm very dumb with computers. So, 2 catch up with all of u, he's a bunch of pix of me. Most of them are from the last 3 years...but there are one or 2 of them that are really old (one of them is nearly 10 years old). Keep in mind that i do alot of theater and i'm also partially crazy. I'm with u Ted. I love "All Falls Down" and a few of his other trax. I got his album but i never listen 2 it. I just don't feel him the way others do. But when it comes 2 the commerical crap like 50 Cent/G-Unit/D12/Trina/etc, Kanye is the man. His production is by far better than any of that other stuff. And he actually has topics 2 his songs...something that show up in successful rap songs anymore. And 2 answer Jim's ?uestion in that Nick Cannon post. A few months ago, when he waz doing stand up comedy on TRL, he waz breifly asked about music and he said he waz working on new stuff. I don't think they asked about Kanye West, but when a Kanye video came on the countdown, he let it slide that he waz doing someone work with him but made it seem like a secret. He kept his mouth shut after that.
