  1. MC Hammer has stayed busy...however, not all of his projects actually get off the ground. His last album waz 2001's Active Duty. That album wazn't exactly a true studio album becuz the theme waz giving homage 2 all different styles of Hip-Hop all over the county (laid back west coast stuff, east coast style, dirty south style). I like the album but it's not on the level of his others. MC Hammer did Surreal Life in 2001 or 2002 and i think it waz a proper way 2 show the man that he really is. He waz funny, the peacemaker, the most intellegent one there, and they even showed him giving a sermon. Even if u don't like his music, u'd love the man that he is after watching the show. A year or 2 ago he started working on a clothingline but i haven't heard any news on that. Last summer he dropped the extreemly rare promo single 4 the song "Full Blast" where he disses Eminem. It's a choppy club/funk kinda song. There waz a video 4 it also, which i've seen the very end of. The b-side is a track called "Sunshine" which i love...it's a summertime song. He also released a video 4 the song "Hard Times" last fall which waz amazing. However, there hasn't been any other singles or albums.
  2. It's been amazing this week. The temperature has stayed in the 80's and sun has been shininy with just a dash of clouds. And the nights have stayed in the high 70's and low 80's....JUST PERFECT!! I'm going 2 bon fire 2nite so weather will be perfect 4 that.
  3. I don't really follow Ton Cruise...but some of my friends were talking about this other day. My friends said that Tom is loosing his mind and that is isn't nearly as likable as he used 2 be.
  4. PM Dawn is amazing. I love their stuff. I'll catch it if i can...but i still can't get over the fact that i missed Arrested Development.
  5. I would never put Fat Joe along side my favorite emcees, but when it comes 2 the commerical stuff, he's definitly a stand-out talent. However, in recent years, all aspects of his music have gotten watered down. I'll give it a listen 2 it in a record store but i doubt i'll wanna get it.
  6. Yeah, the song and the movie are totally linked. He may even considered it 4 the soundtrack b4 desideing not 2 be a part of it.
  7. I don't think he'd do alot of collabos. I think he would keep working with lots of west coast artists. He wouldn't have stayed on Deathrow and i don't think any artists on that label would have worked with him. When he would work with others, i think he'd work with artists that really counted...talented Hip-Hop and R-N-B stnadout talents.
  8. It's amazing how this 1997 interview is so relevant 2day. I don't care what anyone says. MC Hammer has always been one of my favorite emcees. He's lyrics are always on point, whether they are party joints or serious joints. His style, his dancing, his shows....MC Hammer's got skillz no matter how u look at it. U don't get interviews like this from just anybody.
  9. I think we gotta keep in mind that the source isn't some official reliable source...AND that the news is coming from someone on jail. Suge is also a big mouth. All he dose is talk and lie. At the same time, i wouldn't be surprised if he waz behind it. After all, i've been thinkin' he waz behind 2Pac's murder since it happened.
  10. Man, All That waz a great show in the '90's. I havn't watched it since 1996ish or so. I just remember people like TLC, Aaliyah, Immature, Coolio, Soul IV Real, Naughty By Nature, Brandy, Monica, and others taking the stage. And the skits were hilarious....4 kids, teens, and adults.
  11. His kicks look crazy!! Thanx 4 the pix!!
  12. I wouldn't be surprised if JJ+FP dose a surprise set...but i'm still kinda scared since none of the commercials mention them.
  13. Ha, i only got mine cuz it waz crazy cheap 2. If i hadn't made the mistake of buying the Maximum TLC CD, i would have bought Maximum Will Smith for full price. Amazingly, Maximum Will Smith is even worse than Maximum TLC. I think i spent $3 on my M-WS.
  14. KANYE WEST - Diamonds I'm struggling very hard 2 see how people are really feelin' this. It's not bad, but it's incredibly average.
  15. Sometimes "average" songs are needed 2 make a flawless album. Think about it, don't u have an album were every song is way 2 single-ready and there's so much glitz that the album seems overdone? U gotta have some lowkey moments 2 come across as honest in my opinion. When i say "average," i'm talking about good songs that aren't over the top perfect.....not a song that is just okay when u hear it.
  16. I don't think he's contradicting anything. U gotta realize that different kinds of music get tossed in2 that "gangsta rap" territory. "The Chronic" is gangsta rap at it's best. But it's also a legit Hip-Hop album. People also toss 50 Cent in2 that gangsta rap category...but we all know it's light weight, phoney music. N.W.A. waz groundbreaking. G-Unit is just trash. But many people put both groups under that gangsta rap banner.
  17. Those Maximum CDs are trash. They are nothing but annoying overseas people narrorating incorrect info over cheaply produced music. They have lil' bits of interviews but they usually aren't worth it.
  18. Any album that waz huge a few years ago or at least isn't selling much will always be very easy 2 find online at a very cheap price. That's just the way it is.
  19. Pete + Pete waz brilliant. I remember the lil' skits they did in the early 90's...and by the mid-90's they had their own show which lasted thru' 1996 or so. That show has a strong cult following, i can't believe it wazn't released in a big way. Both teens and adults loved that show. I'm definitly gonna find it and pick it up sometime soon.
