Eazy-E waz one of the 1st people in Hip-Hop 2 focus strongly on the business side of things. He may not have lyricaly been one of the best...but he is a pioneer in west coast Hip-Hop and hardcore Hip-Hop. I think he should have been honored after 2Pac...b4 Biggie. I could never get with Big Pun. I never saw him as very lyrical or even decent when it came 2 flow. No disrespect 2 him...but he waz just a commerical rapper 2 me.

Man, Leaders of The New School waz one of the greatest early 90's groups. I loved them. I was always hoping they'd get back 2gether. When Busta kept going after that extra attention, the group started falling apart. I makes me really annoyed that they can't even be cool. I didn't pay 2 much attention 2 Dinco and Milo...but Charlie Brown is one of the greatest emcees. I know he waz working on solo stuff but i never saw it in stores. I'll have 2 check out Dinco's page on myspace.

My favs are 2Pac's "Dear Mama"...LL Cool J's "Big Momma" and FP's "Momma Knows." Kanye's joint is average at best. That Eminem song isn't bad...but the subject matter is kinda wack...and depressing overall.

I heard "Switch" on the radio while i waz in the shower last week. It waz the 1st time i heard it on the radio in ages. I literally went from being really tired 2 getting all hyped and wide awake.

((IGNORING YOUR POST))) Where on earth have u been?!? Good 2 see u back!!

Wow! What a line up of honorees!! This is gonna be another really good show. And since they honor 1 of Hip-Hop's fallen soldiers, Eazy E is perfect. He made much for an an impact than Big L (he only had an underground following and only did his thing 4 a few years) and Big Pun (who only had a few hit singles at the time of his passing). Eazy E is one of the pioneers of hardcore Hip-Hop. Sure, it tailspun in2 the trash that makes the charts these days...but Eazy's intentions were never 2 have it turn out this way. Thanx 4 the newz!!

I don't think FP acted in a bad way. If Trey did that 4 real, it would have been very cocky...very Bow Wow like.

Ha ha...Brakes, i don't think that the R-N-B singer/Actor Jason Weaver. Unless he aged like 30 years over nite. It's gotta be another Jason Weaver. Thanx 4 posting this!! -
That newz is hilarious. Like father like son. Parent's Just Don't Understand.

Jada Pinkett in Essence Magazine
JumpinJack AJ replied to mfuqua23's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
I didn't know that about Jada either. It's hard 2 see her that way. It just goes 2 show how people are put in other people's lives 2 make this world a better place. It think it's also a good example of how one cuz shed their past mistakes and make themselves new again...and how FP can overlook her past. I had a girlfriend with a yucky past and at times it waz hard 2 get over...but that's cuz it waz still a part of her, which i found out later. Props 2 them both. I might have 2 look this issue up. -
New Proposed Indecency Bill Threatens Rap Music Industry
JumpinJack AJ replied to bigted's topic in Caught in the Middle
Freedom of speech is very important. But i have a problem with the freedom 2 be stupid. People like G-Unit aren't expressing themselves or really using freedom of speech. They are just idiots talking. It's nothing but a big grey area 2 me. -
New Proposed Indecency Bill Threatens Rap Music Industry
JumpinJack AJ replied to bigted's topic in Caught in the Middle
I couldn't read all of that cuz it bored me outta my mind. The whole idea of this is silly. But at the same time, there are some good points. These rap losers who are regularly talking about hurting people. And they are boasting about being in jail like it's a cool thing...half of them never have been 2 jail. I'll just stop there. -

Tabloid magazines are trash. I can't stand people who support them by buying them...or even reading them in the stores. The people who write them should be hit by car exceeding the speed limit by at least 80 miles an hour. There are always rumors in Hollywood. This is just part of the backlash started years ago from articles saying Jada and Will are gay and use their relationship as a cover up. Puh-leez...

LL COOL J + MARY MARY - We're Gonna Make It Todd Smith (2006)

I wouldn't say something as stupid as "We all know Will is a better actor than rapper" on this board.

LUPE FIASCO - Kick Push ((don't know))) (2006) Wow! This song is dope...i know Kanye West is behind this cat...but he is far better than Kanye would dream. I hope this single is a proper repensentation of the album!!

Anybody pull an April fool's joke today?
JumpinJack AJ replied to Jazzy Julie's topic in Caught in the Middle
Call in a few bomb threats....pull a few fire alarms...u know, the usual. Ha ha...jus' playin.' I work all day and we are gonna be crazy busy so i doubt i'll do anything elaborate. Whatever comes off the top of my head. Wasn't like 2 years ago when Jim posted a fake article about FP saying that from then on, his albums would be JJ+FP albums and that they were gonna released thru' ATOJ? Man, that made a few of us mad...ha ha. -
Thanx...this song is dope. It's definitly from the Aftermath era...but i doubt it's Dr. Dre who produced it. Unless he really stretched himself on this one. It just doesn't have that Dre sound.

Ace of Spades...don't be stupid. 2Pac is gone...Rest In Peace. Back on topic. When i said it's 2006, not 1996. I waz refuring 2 the changes. Back in 1996, Snoop waz on Deathrow and gangsta rap waz huge. On top of that, he waz releasing his 2nd album and had that murder case. Snoop waz still a freshman in the rap game. So if this happened 10 years ago, i'd understand. It's 2006. Snoop has cleaned up his life. Most of his music isn't as menacing anymore (example...singles like "Beautiful.") He's now viewed as a long-time entertainer. He's been doing his thing for over a decade. I just think it's stupid the way they are handling it.

I just got some disturbing news 2day. One of the people who works for my company...but at another store, got a call from her mother 2day, saying she found her (my kinda co-worker's) husband slumped over dead in his car. They are thinking it may be related 2 a drug overdose. Details are schetchy, but i can't imagin what she's going thru.' So i definitly wanna gather some prayer shoulders 2 give understanding and comfort 2 the family.
