  1. Yeah, i knew this BEP Remix EP waz droppin' soon. I didn't wanna post about it until i knew the details were in fact...FACT. I love Black Eyed Peas. Their style, positivity, and creativity has broken down so many doors. Not alot of Hip-Hop artists are doing that anymore. Who can u say is really a pioneer these days? NOBODY!! BEP is one of the only people doin' it. Since BEP and JJ have done some shows 2gether...i saw this coming. When i 1st saw the tracklisting, i waz hyped.
  2. I've seen this once a few years ago...but not since then. Thanx!!
  3. I expected just a lil' bit more. But i thought it waz very interesting. I think it's something that alot of people should watch. It'll open some eyes. But for me, nothing waz that incredible...other than the make-up.
  4. Thanx 4 this. Respect, Passion, Love, Wisdom...that's my man LL. This is Hip-Hop grown up. Thank God someone has.
  5. That's nothing...i called last week and 2Pac picked up and said i'd have 2 be put on hold cuz they were working on a remix of "Afro Angel" for the compilation album FP's putting out.
  6. I was lookin' up old pix 2nite and came across a JJ+FP pic i've never seen. They are leaning up against an old car. It looks like it's from 1991 (give or take a year or so). Here's a link 2 the pic (along with a few others...including the other Jazzy Jeff). http://oldschool.terramail.pl/fotosy/jazzy_jeff.html Here's the main page if u wanna check out other older pix of Hip-Hop's finest. http://oldschool.terramail.pl/fotosy/fotosy.html

  10. Now i know i just didn't not see a Coolio album in the works...AND A DIGABLE PLANETS ALBUM IN THE WORKS!! I'm probably only interested in maybe 15% of the albums on that whole list. Lord knows it's gonna change. 45% of them will be bumped back. 7% of them will never come out. 4% of them probably aren't even actually real projects (example...why do they have 2 LL Cool J and Rakim albums on it?) Hip-Hop would never be so lucky. Hardly anyone works on 2 albums at the same time.
  11. HEAVY D - I'll Do Anything (Can't Do Remix) Promo - Waterbed Hev (1997)
  12. Definition...back in 2002, when FP and Shaggy were both dropping albums. FP jumped on the remix of Shaggy's 1st single "Hey Sexy Lady." It's pretty rare tho.' There's a reggae compilation CD called "Hey Sexy Lady Explostion" which featueres the remix along with other trax that used the same instrumental (the reggae/dancehall production community must share alot of the same beats). There's also a promo floating around with it on there. The unreleased version actually has a different, slower, and in my opinion, BETTER version from Shaggy along with some beatboxing from FP under Sean Paul's verse which leads in2 FP's. NICK CANNON + THE RED TEAM - Down By The Welfare Line Wild N' Out (2006)
  13. I really don't think there is a real difference in the music. They've both just gotten better with time. Many of the "solo" trax are in fact JJ+FP trax so it's weird 2 say they are "like JJ+FP." Here's my list tho'... It's All Good I Loved Her Candy Boy You Knock Me Out w/ Tatyana Ali Afro Angel The Rain Potnas Uuhhh Pump It Up Holla Back Block Party Give Me Tonight Pump Ya Breaks If U Can't Dance (Slide) Could U Love Me Party Starter Comin' To The Stage
  14. That's awful. It sounds like she didn't have 2 suffer for long tho.' Hopefully this will shed more light on diseases like this 2 find a cure.
  15. ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT - Africa's Inside Me (Avrijah Clean Version) Promo - Zingalamaduni (1994) Next up... THE TONY RICH PROJECT - Leavin' (Groove Mix) Import Single - Words (1995)
  16. The explict lyrics sticker can take an album far. It's quite depressing. Ever since the early/mid 90's...those stickers have dominated Hip-Hop and Rap album covers. Some people had messages and skills...and lots didn't. It's progressed to 2day...where if u your album goes platnium, there is a 99% chance there is an explict sticker on it. Young kids think "it's cool." Ignorant teens think it means that the music is "real" and "raw." And record labels enforce them 2 push the bar. All these newers guys are little puppets who don't write anything worth listening 2 over cookie cutter beats and make sure they lace every bar with cuss words. I personally hate cussing. Years ago i desided i waz gonna clean my mouth up and hearing it in music started 2 annoy me 2. I'll gladly support people like The Roots, Common Sense, and Talib Kweli even tho' they have explict lyric stickers on their album. Their albums are filled with stories, messages...and most importantly...SKILLZ. With them, they aren't out 2 spread poison and just cuss. That's what idiots like G-Unit do.
  17. Good...solid news in a popular magazine...it's about tyme!! I can't wait 2 hear her new stuff. Kiss The Sky is one of my favorite albums. I know she's grown alot since...i'm hoping it's even better than her 1st.
  18. If u are talking strictly modern music...Fresh Prince, LL Cool J, Speech, Public Enemy, 4th Avenue Jones', Nick Cannon, Fugees, Black Eyed Peas, and Common Sense.
  19. Prince, do u listen 2 ANY Hip-Hop? THE TONY RICH PROJECT - Traveling Alone (Trip Hop Mix) Promo - Ressurected (2003)
  20. This is so embarassing....i'm gonna be a metal head now. Oh wait, this isn't a part of Hip-Hop history...we are talking trashy rap at the moment. I really wish i could see people's reaction during their performance. The probably had 2 use pre-recorded applause for the performance. Three 6 Mafia is trash at it's worst.
  21. Definition...r u serious?? Whitney has one of the strongest and prettiest voices of all time...hands down. She hasn't weakened at all. Check that Thunderpuss Club Remix of "It's Not Right, But It's Okay"...i don't know anyone who can handle a song like that. Janet makes good music and has a cute lil' voice...but by no means does she have a strong voice. Putting her beside someone like Mariah Carey is a dangerous idea. It'll come off like Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera when they opened for Madonna on the MTV Music Awards. Britney did her but lil' part, then Christina came out and her voice just blew Briney away.
  22. P!NK - Stupid Girls (her forthcoming album) (2006)
