HAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!! I hate when people do that!! I'm glad 2 hear i'm not the only person who has this happen 2 them. For awhile i waz thinking that the universe waz playing a sick joke on me cuz this happens on my answering machine regularly.

Who knows tho'...i bet alot of those artists could have boxsets being released...or even remastered albums. Either way, u can find that stuff online and in used record stores. I edited the list 2 the stuff i need and printed it out 4 when i got CD digging.

Odd Question? But who likes Nick cannons music?
JumpinJack AJ replied to markwinfield1's topic in Caught in the Middle
I love Nick Cannon...ha ha. I'm just a big fan of straigh Hip-Hop...not 2 street...not 2 pop. That's kinda where Nick Cannon fits in. People like FP and LL fit in it as well, but Nick Cannon is closer 2 my age. So 2 see someone who loves Hip-Hop, acting, and just being goofy...i totally identify with him. I love that in this sleazy business of selling out and gimmicks, he just makes music how he wants 2. I love his sound and his lyrics. So anyone who likes feel good music without cussing and negativity should give him a chance. -
I used 2 watch the show once in awhile...i liked it, but i never made a point 2 watch every episode. For awhile Fox waz showing reruns at night during the summer and i'd watch it while checking e-mail and the board.

Is that LL Cool J: Todd Smith worth purchaseing
JumpinJack AJ replied to markwinfield1's topic in Caught in the Middle
I waz gonna write a review on the album. I'm crazy busy...but i might try 2 do it 2nite. I like the album...i could see where most people on this board would like it without thinkin' it's amazing. People who don't follow LL probably won't feel it...but that's not who the album is 4 anyway. -
I don't care WHEN they do MIIIB...i just care that it gets done...and gets done right.

Lost and Found has sold more than 686, 086 Copies
JumpinJack AJ replied to Hero1's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
Uhhh....many of his solo singles did better than "Summertime." I'm not saying those songs were better than "Summertime"...but they did better commercially. After all, "Men In Black" broke a record for how much airplay a Hip-Hop or Rap song ever received. I think it's been broken since tho.' -
Ash trey...u live in a disillusional world. The word "dope emcee" could never be associated D12. Anyone who carrys a gun and fires it in a public place or in a way 2 threaten someone...is a coward and gets no respect from me. Not that Proof ever got any from me. I say "Rest In Peace" ...and i feel for his family...but it gets no deeper than that.

I'm happy 2 hear MIB3 is probably gonna happen. I have a feeling it'll be alot better than the 2nd. It's hard 2 believe that the original is almost 10 years old.

BRIAN MCKNIGHT - Find Myself In You Madea's Family Reunion (2005) Brakes, i'm pretty sure Ignorants still do their thing. I have a remix by them of Jennifer Lopez + LL's "All I Have."

That's crazy. I got quite a few of those albums...and want quite a few of others. This will effect me while i'm pickin' up old school CDs. :::prints out list:::

Yeah, for anyone checking out Nitty's stuff...just overlook the song "Hey Bitty." It's just another silly poppy song. But other than that, those of u who like feel good, positive, party flava'd rap...u might wanna check the album. I'm not telling anyone 2 go out and buy it cuz i know that sometimes i have a very different taste in music. But this board has come down hard on Nitty...ha ha...which is funny since he stands up 4 the same stuff FP stands up on. Here's a list of other artists... Ahmad (classic 90's Hip-Hop...he's like a west coast LL Cool J) Skee-Lo (classic positive, story telling...and slightly comical Hip-Hop) Dana Dane (his stuff from the 80's and 90's is dope)
-
After reading stuff like "FP isn't one of the top 10 emcees...Rock The House isn't a Hip-Hop classic...and LL doesn't belong in the top 10. I just can't take 2 many people in here seriously.

That new Shakira song is nothing but a song off Wyclef's 2004 album remixed with her singing the verses. LL COOL J - Todd Smith (Da album) (2006)

Yeah, street cred amougst 12 year olds who think T.I. is hardcore gangsta. :wiggle:

MTV knows nothing about Hip-Hop or Rap. VH-1 does a much better job with that kinda stuff. The list isn't as awful as it could be. I'd only keep 5 of those artists in it tho.' The other 5 don't even deserve 2 be in the top 50.
-
Arrested Development (straight hip-hop mixed with some soul and R-N-B...introspective, very positive) Speech (front man from Arrested Development...similar 2 AD) Nitty (straight Hip-Hop with a positive commercial twist) Lifesavas (true school Hip-Hop) 4th Avenue Jones' (hip-hop mixed with rock and soul...some different stuff)

I'm dying 4 some new Rakim. I'm not Nas' biggest fan, but after he did that song 4 Rakim on his last album, i guess i wouldn't mind hearing a track with them...like Rakim said...if it makes sense.
-
I wazn't gonna get in2 this part of the topic...but...There is a difference in how FP has used it and how T.I. has used it. T.I. comes off as very uneducated 2 me.

Tayana's album is amazing. I love it...and still listen 2 it ever few months. FP also dropped a verse on Shaggy's "Hey Sexy Lady" remix with Sean Paul. U can find it on the compilation CD "Sexy Lady Explosion." He also dropped a rhyme on Mary J. Blige's "Got To Be Real" on the SharkTale soundtrack. FP also did work on songs for past Michael Jackson and Dru Hill albums which never came out. About a year ago he did a remix with Elephant Man and Redman, but it looks like it won't get released.

Well, with Overbrook being in limbo and without a distribution deal forever...AND the lack luster sales of Born To Reign. It waz very hard 2 get the group off the ground. I got some inside info awhile ago that they are done. I really wanted then 2 put out an album tho.' FP believed in them and their album had him featured on at least one song. Since i saw them live, i know what they are capable of and they were the truth. Who knows, maybe they'll give it another go. Otherwise, a few of us will just be wondering "what if..."

Proof of D12 shot dead, Bizarre shot in head
JumpinJack AJ replied to MaxFly's topic in Caught in the Middle
Rest in peace. It's time 4 this emcees and rappers 2 freakin' grow up. There's alot of grown men going around acting like they have no self-respect and responsibilities. I'll never say D12 is talented...but hopefully this loss will open some eyes and change things 4 the better.
