  1. Ha ha...Tim got his hands on it years ago. He then hooked me up with a copy of it. A year or 2 later i sent a copy 2 Wes, who put it on CD. And then a year and a half ago, i actually sent Ready Rock C a copy. Next thing u know, it waz on his website.
  2. JASON MRAZ - Geek In The Pink Mr. A-Z (2005)
  3. I think everyone here appriciates the JJ+FP trax like Potnas, The Rain, Don't Say Nothin', It's All Good, and so on. But for those who didn't get 2 witness JJ+FP do their thing as JJ+FP will be in 4 a big surprise.
  4. Yeah, guess who sent it 2 him a few years ago...
  5. I got Rhymefest's album. It's good, but i expected more. I don't know why, i just remember feeling like i didn't get what i wanted. I have a feeling that it'll be one of those albums that grows on me.
  6. SLUM VILLAGE - Fantastic (self-titled) (2005) Man, SV is dope. I always 4got how dope they are until i pop in one of their albums. They truely are the best Hip-Hop act 2 break out since the late 90's.
  7. K, i just listened 2 the whole song. I must say...Nelly is an awful singer. But at least he doesn't try 2 be some phony hoodlum when he sings. I like the song, but the unecessary and chemistry-lacking appearance by Nelly baffles me. Thanx 4 posting that Ted, i'll have 2 check out that link.
  8. Bad Wes....Bad Wes :::slaps Wes' hand:::
  9. I've only heard "Kick + Push." I love that song. It reminds me of my youth and the mid '90's. Other than that, i have nothing 2 say. While i usually hate Kanye on the mic, so as long as he stays on the boards, i'll be fine. As long as Kanye gives him beats like "Kick + Push"...i'll be checkin' this album.
  10. I heard the end of it on the radio. I liked it. The song was done in the same tradition as the stuff on her last 2 albums....light, breezy R-N-B. I didn't hear Nelly's verse...but i'm thinkin' i'll be searching for Radio Edit without Rap.
  11. I don't think JJ+FP would do an album without making it a JJ+FP...none of that featuring crap.
  12. MISSY 'MISDEMEANOR' ELLIOT + DA BRAT - Sock It 2 Me Supa Dupa Fly (1997)
  13. Yeah, they were pretty good. I have one of their CD singles from 1998/1999. I had no idea they did a track with FP tho.' I remember lovin' the song they did on Jermaine Durpi's 1st album.
  14. I waz surprised back in the day when Code Red didn't commerically do much more than "Boom! Shake The Room." But at the same time, gangsta rap waz so huge at the time and "new" 2 the mainstream...so it's easy 2 justify and say the album got swallowed up in all the Dre and Snoop stuff at the time. Things are even worse now. Commercially, pretty much ever artist sucks. True Hip-Hop rarely breaks out 2 get any real attention. And as far as JJ+FP is from crap like Lil' Jon, Young Joc, and D4L, i can easily see how JJ+FP would actually do very good. After the solo projects, FPofBA, movies, and so on...JJ+FP has a wide fanbase even bigger than b4. I mean, after we were surprised that "Switch" got as huge as it did, i wouldn't be surprised if a JJ+FP easily hit platnium. Lost + Found waz a good step-stool back 2 at least 1 hit single from the JJ+FP movement each time around.
  15. JODECI - S' More (Remix) Back To The Future: The Best of Jodeci (2005)
  16. Here's just a few...even tho' all the albums by most of these artists are my favs... JJ+FP - He's The DJ, I'm The Rapper JJ+FP - Homebase JJ+FP - Code Red Will Smith - Willennium TLC - OoOoOoOhhh... On The TLC Tip TLC - CraZySeXyCOol LL Cool J - Mr. Smith Skee-Lo - I Wish Ahmad - (self-titled) Queen Latifah - Black Reign MC Lyte - Bad As I Wanna B Speech - Hoopla Pete Rock + CL Smooth - The Main Ingredient MC Hammer - Please Hammer, Don't Hurt 'Em MC Hammer - Inside Out 2Pac - Me Against The World Digital Underground - Future Rhythm Run-DMC - Raising Hell Arrested Development - Zingalamaduni A Tribe Called Quest - The Low End Theory A Tribe Called Quest - Midnight Mauraders A Tribe Called Quest - Beats, Rhymes, + Life Busta Rhymes - The Coming De La Soul - Stakes Is High Salt-N-Pepa - Very Necessary Salt-N-Pepa - Black's Magic
  17. LL COOL J - Mama Said Knock You Out (Live) VH-1 Hip-Hop Honors (2005) Man, i wish they'd release the show as a DVD + CD pack.
  18. I've been listening 2 old school Hip-Hop all day...this is the perfect thing 2 read at the end of the day!! It's gonna happen...it's gonna happen!! Give it tyme!!
  19. No way, the song is total joke. Like stated b4, the song is FP's mocking attempt 2 catch up 2 the hardcore rappers at the time. The story is hilarious...but he delivers the whole song in a very serious, no-nonsense kinda way. FP performed it live back in 1992 on MTV when he waz co-hosting a Super Bowl Special. I actually taped this and my parents taped over it!! I'm pretty sure Jeff wazn't there and that FP waz just rappin' over the instrumental. He waz rocking sunglasses, a early '90's style Hip-Hop hat and a winter coat. The next time he waz on MTV, he joked about how he thought some parents were probably like "Is that the Fresh Prince rapping like this?"
  20. I loved In The House. The show wan't like FPofBA at all...other than a pioneering emcee as the lead character. I thought the show waz almost as good as FPofBA. It had hilarious stories and positive messages. And Alfonso didn't play the same character as he did on FPofBA!?!? I don't know what show u think u were watching.
  21. WARREN G feat. NATE DOGG - I Need A Light In The Mid-Night Hour (2005) I finally got this album...it's real good. Over half of it is just that perfect west coast G-funk, sampled stuff.
  22. I don't want any doctors stuff...never really did. I just want them 2 release a box set with all the non-album stuff (meaning stuff not released while he waz alive) mastered. There's so many songs he's done and freestyles just collecting dust or that have been remixed in a watered down way. I wouldn't mind a 2Pac remix album every 7 years or so...just 2 keep the legacy going. But i'd want real producers getting their hands on the acapellas...not wack rapper #2 and Puffy.
