  1. DJ JAZZY JEFF + THE TEMPTATIONS - Papa Was A Rollin' Stone (DJ Jazzy Jeff + Pete Kuzma Solefull Remix) Motown Remixed (2005)
  2. Thanx 4 posting this. Alot of fake rappers boast about guns...but one of Hip-Hop's true soldiers is taking a stand against them. More celebs and people need 2 get involved in this kinda thing. Props 2 FP.
  3. How do u know it's not Robin's choice? Another thing, by bumping an album back (by at least a year), Usher and Monica got hit albums that wern't gonna turn out that way with out the bump back. So it's not ALWAYS a bad thing...but i can share in your frustration. I wanna hear that album 2. I picked up the single. The main song itself wazn't my fav, but i loved the b-side.
  4. Even tho' DMX has yet 2 match his 1st album...i love his stuff. He just brings that gritty, dark, hardcore street vibe and holds nothing back. I can't wait 2 get the new album. I hope it makes up for the last 2. I like the album cover 2. I'm only worried about the guests on the album. Busta Rhymes is the only one that sparks my interest.
  5. Wes, whatever u do, remember to take your Hilary Duff CD out of it 1st b4 u send it out.
  6. The fact that those murders are unsolved disgusts me. I believe that it's NOT that fact that they are unsolvable that they are left unsolved.
  7. I wouldn't go as far as 2 compare him 2 Rakim or KRS-One. It takes years of quality and consistence 2 even be mentioned in the same paragraph as them.
  8. Yeah, i heard the new song and I LOVE IT. I really can't say more than that. The song is dope. It may be the best Hip-Hop joint released as a single this year.
  9. Janet, Nelly, JD..."thug"...i think not. Her last album didn't flop, it just didn't do what her others did. She got 2 big hits out of that album. I just think times have changed which makes it harder for certain artsits 2 get sure-shot hits like before. TLC, Toni Braxton, Boyz II Men, Jon B, Whitney Houston, etc all used 2 be top sellers. But these days they sell less. Janet's "All For You" came out in spring 2001 when life waz brighter for alot of people...and her music reflected that. Pop and radio friendly music waz still thriving. With the terroist attacks and other crazy events around the world, music changed for the darker and for the heavier. "Damita-Jo" had the same vibe as "All For You" but the change in music and the change of the times is where the change of acceptance came. At least that's how i explain these chart-topping artists selling less in these recent years.
  10. Ha ha...Tim got his hands on it years ago. He then hooked me up with a copy of it. A year or 2 later i sent a copy 2 Wes, who put it on CD. And then a year and a half ago, i actually sent Ready Rock C a copy. Next thing u know, it waz on his website.
  11. JASON MRAZ - Geek In The Pink Mr. A-Z (2005)
  12. I think everyone here appriciates the JJ+FP trax like Potnas, The Rain, Don't Say Nothin', It's All Good, and so on. But for those who didn't get 2 witness JJ+FP do their thing as JJ+FP will be in 4 a big surprise.
  13. Yeah, guess who sent it 2 him a few years ago...
  14. I got Rhymefest's album. It's good, but i expected more. I don't know why, i just remember feeling like i didn't get what i wanted. I have a feeling that it'll be one of those albums that grows on me.
  15. SLUM VILLAGE - Fantastic (self-titled) (2005) Man, SV is dope. I always 4got how dope they are until i pop in one of their albums. They truely are the best Hip-Hop act 2 break out since the late 90's.
  16. K, i just listened 2 the whole song. I must say...Nelly is an awful singer. But at least he doesn't try 2 be some phony hoodlum when he sings. I like the song, but the unecessary and chemistry-lacking appearance by Nelly baffles me. Thanx 4 posting that Ted, i'll have 2 check out that link.
  17. Bad Wes....Bad Wes :::slaps Wes' hand:::
  18. I've only heard "Kick + Push." I love that song. It reminds me of my youth and the mid '90's. Other than that, i have nothing 2 say. While i usually hate Kanye on the mic, so as long as he stays on the boards, i'll be fine. As long as Kanye gives him beats like "Kick + Push"...i'll be checkin' this album.
  19. I heard the end of it on the radio. I liked it. The song was done in the same tradition as the stuff on her last 2 albums....light, breezy R-N-B. I didn't hear Nelly's verse...but i'm thinkin' i'll be searching for Radio Edit without Rap.
  20. I don't think JJ+FP would do an album without making it a JJ+FP...none of that featuring crap.
