  1. It makes u wonder exactly how people can be like this...and how they get away with being that way.
  2. The beat isn't 2 bad. His flow has gotten better...but it's still awful. He sounds like a 10 year old who just started rapping. The whole K-Smith things seems 2 be a bust...which is a good thing.
  3. I'm putting a warning here at the top because this is one of the most disgusting and disturbing things i've ever read. Most of u who are here regularly know how sensitive i am about pets and stuff like that. Reading this will make u hate life for a while...so only read it if u are gonna do something fun immeditaly after reading it. This teenager deserves whatever comes 2 him. --------------------------------------- Teen Charged in Bizarre Missing Dog Case By KATHY MATHESON,AP Posted: 2008-01-04 17:04:16 PHILADELPHIA (AP) - A telephone call at midnight normally would have awoken Bill Whiting, but he hadn't been sleeping much since his dog disappeared. He picked up the phone and couldn't believe what he heard. Children were demanding $600 or else they would kill Edna, his beloved beagle mix. Whiting listened in horror to what sounded like the jingle of Edna's collar, and an animal yelping in pain. He agreed to pay the ransom. "You don't understand, mister," a boy replied. "I want to kill your dog anyway." What happened to Edna remains a mystery, but Philadelphia police have charged a 15-year-old with harassment, terroristic threats, theft by extortion and other counts for allegedly calling Whiting. Police have yet to find the dog. Authorities gave no immediate explanation for how they traced the call. "I've had tears today a couple of times. I don't see any happy news in this," a heartbroken Whiting said Friday. "I don't have a dog coming back, apparently." He also said he believes at least two children were involved. Edna had been Whiting's constant companion for more than 10 years. The 57-year-old employee of the University of Pennsylvania's archaeology museum described Edna as a gentle dog that loved children and had been a therapy animal at nursing homes and hospitals. Edna vanished on Halloween, after Whiting and the dog walked from his home in Philadelphia to a friend's house. Whiting thinks she slipped out into the unfamiliar neighborhood while the door was open for trick-or-treaters. Frantic, he looked for hours, then printed up "Missing Dog" posters and plastered them around the neighborhood. The posters contained his cell phone number and offered a $500 reward. Ten days after the dog disappeared, Whiting received the midnight call on his cell phone from a youth who demanded $600. Then a younger boy got on the phone and apparently began abusing an animal. Whiting said he didn't recognize the yelps, since he had never heard Edna hurt before, but detected the sound of her collar, which had numerous tags and "jangled like a charm bracelet." He begged them not to hurt the dog, and simultaneously dialed police from his land line. Whiting went to a police station in the middle of the night to make a report. When he returned home a few hours later, his land line rang almost immediately. "We killed your dog," the voice said. "It's dead." Whiting began to believe the children really did have Edna, since the land line phone number was only on the dog's tags, not the poster. "I became hysterical," he said. "I started to tremble." Police worked for weeks on tracing the calls, whose numbers came up as unavailable on Whiting's Caller ID. Publicity led to an outpouring of support for Whiting and rage against the perpetrators; rewards were offered by animal advocacy groups. On Dec. 30, police arrested the 15-year-old, who was released to his family for a hearing Jan. 31.
  4. I'm glad it sounds like he'll be alright. If anyone has a good attitude 2 thru' something like that, Play can. Kid N' Play are one of the best groups ever. It sounds like the Kid N' Play movie got scrapped...but we can alway hope for new music...Kid's new stuff is dope. My prayers go out 2 my friends and family effected by this.
  5. Yeah, the pastor thing is a bit comical. He's crazy 2 talk like that if he continues to make the music he's made in the past. One thing that drives me crazy is when artists of any genre give praise 2 God and thank God while almost all of their music contradicts their so-called believes. I'm not saying ever person should be a saint, but if u are giving praise to God, u gotta walk the walk and talk the talk. They only talk. 100% of their videos are filled with skin-baring ho's and alcohol while they explicitly glorify material things. If u are spiritual, u should be living a life that reflects that...not doing everything in your power 2 fight it.
  6. JD isn't exactly DefJam material, but he has many more years of experience and success. On top of that, we was in the background of the old school and has crazy love for it. He wouldn't be the WORST choice in my opinion. I'd still like 2 see Russell take over again or LL, or Chuck D...or even FP.
  7. Yeah, "So Fresh" was intended 2 be the second single. Columbia didn't want 2 push it so they focuced on "Freakin' It"...aka watered down Jiggy Part 2...which didn't do much. FP did the video on his own. It's filled with legends. To keep with the old school feel, he did it on the budget that they did the early JJ+FP videos. Sadly the video got no love. I only ever saw it on TV 2 or 3 times, one of them being when JJ+FP premiered it on RapCity in December '99. I attempted 2 tape that show cuz i had 2 leave the house and it didn't tape. I was furious!!
  8. Puffy isn't handling the soundtrack, is he? ha ha I hope this is just a regular song that happens 2 be on the soundtrack. I think he's outgrown the movie-related type song. Beggers can't be choosers...i'm just happy something is on the way.
  9. I don't see why anyone would see this as a big surprise. Through all of his problems and mistakes he's made, he's stayed lyrically on point. The only reason his career has slipped is due to weak production and bad promotion...and maybe a little of his crazy actions. I think his last album was a step in the right direction...even tho' one of the best songs he did for it waz left off the album. So much of his music has has a strong spiritual undertone and he does a cuss-free gospel trac or 2 on every album. I look forward 2 this.
  10. That is one of the funniest things i've ever seen!! Ha Ha!!!! I wish this stuff popped up on the DVDs under Special Features.
  11. Yeah, any lawsuit that comes years after a song is originally released is a joke. Why not file a case when the song comes out. All of those songs are over 10 years old.
  12. Ne-Yo Slaps R. Kelly With Lawsuit Posted Jan 2nd 2008 2:00PM by Tracey Ford Filed under: The BoomBox, R and B News, Tours and Concerts Can't we all just get along? Apparently not. After handing R&B sensation Ne-Yo a pink slip after just a handful of shows on the Double Up tour, R. Kelly is being sued by the singer-songwriter. Ne-Yo claimed he was kicked off the tour because he was upstaging the singer. Kelly has a history of being incapable of sharing a stage and was eventually booted off the Best of Both Worlds tour featuring Jay-Z. The lawsuit, which Ne-Yo filed on December 31, claims the singer was set to rake in $785,000, but only received $50,000. R. Kelly claims Ne-Yo was never guaranteed a permanent spot in the lineup, which includes songstress Keyshia Cole and newcomer J. Holiday. In the meantime, Kelly is due in court for his child pornography case on January 14, and a trial date has been set for May 9.
  13. GYM CLASS HEROES - Everday's Forecast The Papercut Chronicles (2004)
  14. I feel like i'm the only one posting stuff here...i apologize. I don't even wanna get in2 the "drama of the week" but i'm having issues with one of my friend. I don't wanna share details, but basically i have a best friend who i am considering telling that i might never wanna see them again. It seems drastic and overdramatic, but lets just say their are issues. I don't even know what 2 say 2 this person and i'm kinda forced in2 being around them for another 2 weeks or so. I'm just asking for guidence, direction, and self-control in this time...and that better days are on the way.
  15. Yeah, over produced if u ask me. Not bad...just not amazing.
  16. Why didn't i think of that?!? Alright...Def Jam can only continue if LL OR Chuck D get the label.
  17. Brandy Won't Be Charged in Deadly Crash By ROBERT JABLON,AP Posted: 2007-12-28 21:36:30 LOS ANGELES (AP) - The Los Angeles city attorney's office said Friday it will not charge Brandy in a deadly December 2006 freeway crash. Spokesman Nick Velasquez said there is "insufficient evidence" for a jury to find the 28-year-old actress-singer guilty of misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter beyond a reasonable doubt. The decision runs counter to a recommendation from the California Highway Patrol that Brandy, whose real name is Brandy Norwood, be charged in the Dec. 30, 2006, crash. Brandy was driving on a Los Angeles freeway when traffic slowed and her Land Rover smashed into the back of a Honda. That car was involved in several other collisions. The driver, 38-year-old Awatef Aboudihaj, died in the accident. Brandy's attorney, Blair Berk, said "we are extremely pleased" with the decision not to prosecute. The California Highway Patrol did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Following the crash, Brandy was sued for more than $50 million in separate lawsuits filed by Aboudihaj's parents, children and husband. Brandy and Mallory Ham, a motorist whose car struck the Honda, also have sued each other for negligence. Aboudihaj's husband also has sued Ham. All the lawsuits are pending. A call to an attorney representing Aboudihaj's children was not immediately returned. Norwood has made five albums and earned a Grammy in 1999. She starred in the "Moesha" sitcom from 1996-2001. ------------------------------------------ I got this from AOL News. My ?uestion is this, why my heart goes out 2 the family who lost a loved one, why do these people want 50 million from Brandy? When stuff like this happens, it's like they ask for an insane amount of money. 50 million isn't gonna bring this person back. 50 million is way more than the cost of the car, the funeral, and how much income that person was probably brining in. Just seems wrong 2 me. I hope the family is doing good and i hope Brandy isn't haunted by this situation.
  18. How quick this fell apart. Here's a new article. Why on earth would someone make a claim like this and then immediately back out of it. I think Raz-B is the one who quietly came out of the closet a year or 2 ago. ---------------------------------------------------------- B2K Manager: Sexual Abuse Claims are Crap Posted Dec 24th 2007 2:18PM by TMZ Staff Chris Stokes (center), who managed the band B2K before they broke up, is vehemently denying allegations he sexually abused former member Demario "Raz-B" Thorton (right) and his brother, Ricardo aka Ricky Romance (left). The allegations, which surfaced on YouTube, include improper touching and outright molestation. Interestingly, both alleged victims can be heard generally accusing Stokes, but for the most part their statements lack specifics. Stokes released this statement: "The accusations that Demario "Raz B" Thorton and Ricardo Thorton have made are vehemently false and hold no merit. I have recently stopped financially supporting both individuals along with assisting them with their criminal and legal matters which leads me to believe they are resentful and looking to benefit financially from this." The statement continues: "My family is my first priority and the reason why I have been so supportive of them. In bringing these false claims, they have not only slandered me, they have also put me in a position to ensure that the truth is known and I will take all legal routes to protect myself, my family and my four children ... It's also quite ironic that these statements were made only 2 weeks after they were denied admittance by a venue for an event I hosted in Beverly Hills." ------------------------------------------------------------ B2K Singer Recants Rape Allegations Posted Dec 27th 2007 11:33AM by TMZ Staff Last week, he said his former manager sexually abused him, but today, B2K's Demario "Raz B" Thorton is saying he made the whole thing up. In a statement posted on YouTube, Thorton apologizes for the accusations he made about Chris Stokes, saying the allegations of improper touching and molestation were "not true." UPDATE: In reponse to Thorton's new statement, Chris Stokes tells TMZ, "I'm happy that Demario "Raz B" Thorton and Ricardo Thorton realized their mistakes and admitted to lying. I have always supported my family and have always been a stand up person. I knew that the truth would eventually come to light."
  19. Another thing, it mentions Marques Houston's mother. She passed away years before B2K even formed. Weird.
  20. B2K Member Accuses Manager of Sexual Abuse Posted Dec 26th 2007 4:30PM by Christina Lang Filed under: R and B News Ricardo "Ricky Romance" Thornton and his younger brother, former B2K member Raz-B (whose real name is De'Mario Monte Thornton), have accused producer and manager Chris Stokes of molesting them, intimating that other members of the R&B group, which disbanded in 2004, were victims as well. On December 24, videos were posted on YouTube in which Ricky Romance claims that he, his brother and possibly other members of B2K (Omarion, Lil' Fizz and J-Boog) were forced into inappropriate sexual relations with their manager, Chris Stokes, record label representatives and one another. The homemade videos detail several conversations between Romace and the sister, mother and father of former Immature singer and fellow Stokes client Marques Houston, discussing the alleged sexual abuse. The video including Romance saying, "Chris [stokes] made me take showers with the other boys" and "[stokes] molested my brother, and he molested me." Romance also implicates Houston in the incidents. In a phone call heard on one video, a man the accusing pair claim is Stokes says, "I don't do that anymore ... That was me years ago ... I just don't do that in my life anymore." However, in an official statement, Stokes denied the accusations, adding, "I have recently stopped financially supporting both individuals along with assisting them with their criminal and legal matters, which leads me to believe they are resentful and looking to benefit financially from this." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Sounds like a money issue 2 me. If this were true, i think Chris Stokes would have already had problems. He's been producing and managing since 1990/1991. Why all of a sudden would something like this come out when the group broke up nearly 4 years ago and their initial problem waz with Stokes. Wouldn't they have tried 2 pin that on him back then...and used that as a reason 2 break up?!? And wouldn't the other members have said something by now. I mean, it's pretty clear that they aren't gonna be making any career comeback easily. It's not like all of a sudden they have nothing 2 loose. Bringing Marcus Houston in2 it is gonna make it twice as hard for them 2 proove this if isn't true. Both Chris and especially Marcus share their faith and drive to live right. Seems shady 2 me.
  21. Waiting for "good reviews" is a good way 2 miss out on good music. These days, good music rarely gets reviewed...and the people who review it are out 2 rip what they give a listen 2 shreds.

  23. Smith 'Infuriated' by Hitler Quote Analysis AOL Posted: 2007-12-25 19:20:28 Filed Under: Movie News (Dec. 25) - Will Smith is angry over celebrity gossip Web site articles that he said misinterpreted a recent remark he made in a Scottish newspaper about Adolf Hitler. In a story published Saturday in the Daily Record, Smith was quoted saying: "Even Hitler didn't wake up going, 'let me do the most evil thing I can do today.' I think he woke up in the morning and using a twisted, backwards logic, he set out to do what he thought was 'good.'" After Will Smith was quoted as saying that Adolf Hitler likely used twisted logic to justify his own actions as "good," many media outlets reported or implied that Smith believes Hitler was good. "Hitler was a vile, heinous vicious killer," Smith said Monday. The quote was preceded by the writer's observation: "Remarkably, Will believes everyone is basically good." Over the weekend, dozens of celebrity gossip Web sites posted articles about the comment, many saying that Smith believed that Hitler was a "good" person. "It is an awful and disgusting lie," Smith said in a statement Monday provided by his publicist. "It speaks to the dangerous power of an ignorant person with a pen. I am incensed and infuriated to have to respond to such ludicrous misinterpretation." "Adolf Hitler was a vile, heinous vicious killer responsible for one of the greatest acts of evil committed on this planet," read the statement.
