  1. "Yo! Home To Bel-Air" is The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Theme. Ale posted the remix that appears on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Soundtrack. 2 my knowledge, it only appeared as a bonus track on the Japanese version of Code Red. "Family Christmas" was on a 12" single but never a bonus track on an album. However, we i 1st came across "Family Christmas" on CD, it waz until 1999. It was on an incredibly random Japanese compilation album caled Avex The Album which features almost all Japan pop stuff that u can't understand and a few random Christmas songs. About the same time, it popped up on a Christmas compilation album called Black Christmas (and on another version of the Black Christmas series). The original release of Homebase didn't have the Mr. Lee Remix of "Ring My Bell" (except for a limited amount...which one of my best friends at the time had...which made jealous...ha ha). At the later end of the release, they all had the bonus remix. Moving on to the solo stuff, there were a few versions of Big Willie Style. Europe's version has the Trackmasters Remix of "Just Cruisin." Another version has 3 JJ+FP trax on it. I can't remember which ones but i think it was "Girls..., Summertime, and Boom!." CDnow had a version up forever tht said it had the bonus tracks "Lean Left, Lean Right" and Round And Round" which was a mistype that lead many of us in2 confusion (i ordered like 6 copies of that version, e-mailing them everytime that they sent me the wrong version. Various import versions of Born To Reign had "Nothing On My Mind" which could only be found in the US at Best Buy. Various import versions of Lost + Found had "Coming To The Stage." Another had "Coming To The Stage" and "We Won't"...and the Japan version has "Coming To The Stage," "We Won't," and "Chosen One." And that limited version of The Return of The Magnificent has that bonus joint with Biz Markie (that i can't find anywhere).
  2. Waz that actually on an album? I only thought that waz on a single...and a compilation album that had nothing 2 do with JJ+FP.
  3. Yeah, i like it. I mean, he's totally jacking T-Pain's style and abusing the vocoder, but it's still dope. His verse is the "meat" of the song on my opinion. I kinda wish he only sung the chorus and rapped the rest of it. I like Snoop alot, even if half of his subject matter is stuff i don't relate 2 or really support (especially more as an adult). In fact, most of his music falls in the "good but average" area when it comes 2 it's grade. After 15 years of consistant success, u gotta give him props. I support new things. The beat is good, the vocals are experemental, and an overall good effort.
  4. When it comes 2 the Japan release of JJ+FP albums, in most cases they didn't get much. I have a re-release of Rock The House from Japan and the only bonus track is the "Girls..." instrumental. The only other album that i can remember is Code Red getting "Yo! Home To Bel-Air" as a bonus track. I THINK Germany is the only country that got The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air soundtrack. And Japan's Greatest Hits has is one of 4 versions of the JJ+FP Greatest Hits album....Japan's is the only one that got "Don't Fight The Feeling" (the biggest JJ+FP find that we've had in the last 5 years). Some of this info may be a bit off...4give me for any memory mistakes...ha ha. If anyone is really worried about what version has what, i can look it up upon request.
  5. This is a request for one of my best friends. Her nephew, who is only 7 years old, and who is a special needs child, was taken 2 the hospital nearly 2 weeks ago. His health was pretty good except for occasional stomach problems that weren't very serious. Well, the team at the hospital wanted to try something to fix the problem from happening again. Whatever they did gave him 2 very serious stomach infections that are life-theatening. The put him in a coma state until they could "make things better." His been in this coma-state for nearly 2 weeks and as u can imagin, the family has been going thru' all kinds of emotional strain and stress. There have also been days where things got "very bad." At this time, i'd like 2 ask for their comfort and wisdom...and most imporantly the recovery of the child.
  6. CLASSIC! Love that song! I think she said in an interview that that song waz her favorite song on that album back then...i agree. ALICIA KEYS + USHER - If I Ain't Got You (Remix) The Diary of Alicia Keys (Import) (2003)
  7. I waz actually listening 2 her Live album earlier 2day. Erykah Badu is amazing. I respect her artistic choices, but 2 me, her 1st album will always be classic...her best. Her last album waz good, but her altering style interests me less compared 2 her hay day. 1996 thru' 1997 waz truely her time. I still look forward 2 the album tho'. Thanx 4 sharing, i had no idea she waz coming back. On a similar note, they re-released her 1st album as a 2-disc set, the 2nd disc featuring remixes and stuff. I'm hoping 2 get that for Christmas.
  8. I'd love 2 see the album get alot of buzz and success...even if it waz enough 2 have her consider a major label and a re-release. Theses days we need as many talented artists accepted in the mainstream as possible. And it seems like in some aspects, some listeners are demanding more from artists.
  9. Great song, beautiful pic on the page...i can't wait. It's been almost 10 years. Long overdue for the next album!
  10. Well, i made the mistake of getting Maximum TLC....featuring the same kinda stuff: short interviews (most of them were audio ripped off Home Video releases and TV shows), inaccurate info, annoying narrorators, and cheaply produced music in the background. I waz mad cuz i sent crazy money 2 get it (as it waz impossible 2 find in the US at the time). The other unathorized TLC interview CDs i had were really good but this one SUCKED. I passed on the Maximum Will Smith CD until i found a brand new copy for only $2 or $3 a year or 2 after it came out in a record store that waz going out of business. I warned the board when it came out. It's funny 2 see how many of us have this piece-of-crap CD. I just may listen 2 it 2nite if i wanna put myself in a bad mood.
  11. It's crazy becuz i watched The Arsenio Hall Show almost every night. And everytime JJ+FP was on, i missed it. I've seen clips but never the whole interviews or performances (except for the one on Tim's DVDs). The only time i actually caught FP on it waz for a non-music related visit and Jazzy wazn't there (which i have on tape somewhere).
  12. FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS - If You Into It Distant Future (2007) Tim, after u posted that video on myspace, i got hooked on them. The 1st season of their show just came out on DVD and i got that 2. Fun stuff.
  13. Thanx...can't wait 2 pop a new JJ+FP mix in it when i pick it up.
  14. I just wanted 2 share my joy that i finally got a new car!! Back in summer 2006, a belt broke on my car (which was actually a simple and inexpensive repair). However, due to money issues and time issues, i never took it seriously. I drove my mom's extra car (which isn't my favorite car) for about a year. I recently got my Mazda MX-6 fixed since i waz gonna trade it in. However, time got in the way again so i postponed getting the Mazda 6 that i planned on getting. The fact that my Home Office kept discouraging me with my weak numbers at my job, i waz also kinda scared financially 2 get a new car. Anyways, wanting 2 make a move, i planned on getting that Mazda 6 2day. But my parents called me from a town about a half hour away from me in PA. They said i should check this Honda (the other kinda car i really like). I went out 2 see it and loved it...especially after i test drove it. I threw way the comfortable life i've had with no car payment and let the good news/bad news attitude from my work take the backseat of my mind and thru' eyes of faith desided i should go 4 it. So as of Monday i'll be the owner of a brand new 2008 Honda Civic EX-L. Attatched is pic of a car that looks very much like the one i'm getting.
  15. I waz thinkin' the same thing. I've been taping JJ+FP off TV since 1989. I've seen most of the things that have been televised. And since i got a new internet user, i've finally got 2 see the things i missed on utube. So this is all very cool. I waz also thinkin' about how i've never seen "Boom!..." performed live.
  16. Whoa! This is classic! I've been totally listening 2 Code Red alot lately 2. The whole vibe of those perfomances took me back.
  17. Let me break the chain of abuse 2 say "WELCOME 2 THE BOARD!"
  18. Thanx...i might get this. Especially if it's an exclusive. Mariah is still amazing after all these years.
  19. I recently found out that Brand Nubian dropped a new album. I finally picked it up 2day. It features Grand Puba, Lord Jamar, Sadat X, and Alamo. This is an instant classic. For get all the other albums released recently. This is the truth. Their flow and lyrics are consistantly on point (as they've always been) and ever beat is dope. Half of them some of the best beats off the 2000's. "Girls, Girls, Girls" is one of my top favs. Just a classic beat and a laidback flow. "Scientists of Sound" is another fav with a heavy urban thump and some DJ'd vocal samples tossed in the mix. The title track is another one that just makes u nod your head. The vocals clearly take the spot light of song, but the guitars underlying it are classic. "Once Again" reminds me of something i'd vibe with back in the mid-90's...just noddin' my head while sitting on the busted sofa in the basement...no TV, no talking 2 friends...just vibin' with the music. The song just takes me there. "I Wanna Hear It" reminds me of something Q-Tip and Phife would rhyme over between '94 and '98. "A Child Is Born" follows it up with another timeless Hip-Hop sound. "Somebody Told A Lie" has a strong soulful R-N-B vibe but with classic BN lyrics. Any lover of true Hip-Hop will LOVE this album. There's hints of the 80's...a strong 90's vibe, but it's all straight Hip-Hop for the year 2007. Turn off the Kanye's and Jay-Z's...this is the only album that competes with Jazzy's album for the best Hip-Hop album of the year...or Guru's new Jazzmatazz.
  20. SOULS OF MISCHIEF - That's When Ya Lost 93 'Til Infinity (1993)
  21. Has anyone heard Remix of A Nation? Considering the original album is probably my least favorite PE album, i'm very hesitant 2 pick this up.
  22. Delaware is only like one street...shouldn't be hard 2 find. He's probably your neighbor.
