ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT - Pain Thangs

Ahhhh!! Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I can't believe i 4got about them. Love those movies...in the order they came out of course.

I knew exactly what u mean. But at the same time, he's gotta do what in his heart, ya know. If it's something he likes doin,' which i would probably like doin,' i wouldn't get totally away from it either. By getting away from Nickelodeon, he can undo that affiliation with them. Besides, it's not like Hip-Hop and Rap fans supported him by getting millions of copies of his album. Why sell him self out 4 people who haven't supported him in a big way. Hopefully his next album drops by the end of the summer. With his last one "Your Pops Don't Like Me" came out in March. The single had moderate success but waz over by the beginning of summer. "Feelin' Freaky" waz a very average song. I think that Jive thought having B2K on the hook would take it 2 big levels, which it didn't. "Gigilo" waz a big hit, but Nick knocks that song saying that there's so much more 2 himself than that single. His album waz ORIGINALLY slated for April 2003, it didn't come out til Oct/Nov 2003. That's a 6/7 month wait....that's 2 long the majority of his audience.

FAT JOE FT. NELLY - GET IT POPPIN'
JumpinJack AJ replied to DevilsJim89's topic in Caught in the Middle
They have "a few things" blurred in the video. I waz watching a late nite music video show on BET that playes the tasteless R-rated videos. They still blur out the nasty stuff. -
Ha ha...bigteg, i've always called Kel Spencer the perfect mix of Fresh Prince and Rakim. That's not a bad combination 4 me...my favorite emcee off all time and the greatest emcee of all time.

FAT JOE FT. NELLY - GET IT POPPIN'
JumpinJack AJ replied to DevilsJim89's topic in Caught in the Middle
I just watched the video again 4 the 1st time since it came out. It's trash. The beat is about as boring as can be. Fat Joe got skillz but this song would never let u know it. Nelly isn't as wack on this track as he often is...but that isnt' saying much. This joint is forgettable and wack. However, in the time it took me 2 write this, they just played the 50 Cent "Disco Inferno" video...which make Fat Joe and Nelly look like rap gods. I'm sorry, but what do all those girls want with that ugly cat. All the girls that get the booty close-ups are all wrinkled with celulite. That's just nasty. Then a whole bunch of topless white girls go at kissing each other at the end. Looks like some 12 year old directed this video. Ahhh...Eminem's "@$$ Like That" just came on. The song is nearly as bad. Oh well, at least the video makes me laugh for the right reasons. This post has turned in2 a celebration of bad music. -
I think the reason Lost + Found has so many votes without people saying why is cuz they are lurkers from the WS message board. In other words, they like what his "hot" reguardless if it's good. On top of that, those kinda people probably don't even have Willennium. Their attention span is about as long as "1,000 Kisses" waz gettin' video play on TV.

LL Cool J-Rock The Bells Live!
JumpinJack AJ replied to Turntable's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
The DEFinition is a great album. It waz just a very comfortable album. It waz kinda unfocused, but since his previous album wazn't even 2 years old when it waz dropped, that waz cool. I'm really hopin' he has something new in a year or 2. He's one of the best artists of all time. I'm gonna check this live track in a day or 2. Thanx in advance!! -
ALANA DAVIS - I Am Free

I saw the video again just now. Man, i love this song. I can't wait 2 pick up the new album. My friend who have seen the new video are feelin' it 2. Jim, didn't u originaly dislike Nick Cannon cuz of his affiliation with Nickeloden? I remember someone on this board said they didn't like him at all, but then they gave him a chance and ended up loving the album.

Well, Superman is my favorite hero...so the Superman movies are my favorite. I like the Batman and Spider-Man movies. Just last nite i watched Mystery Men...ha ha. R.I.P. Christopher Reeves

Kel Spence is the truth. I've been claiming this since the WWW soundtrack. I'll say what i've always said. Hip-Hop needs Kel Spencer. He's young, positive, intellegent, and a down 2 earth guy. I can't wait 2 hear his new stuff. He's really been workin' out since the last pix i've seen him in (which were are like 5 years old now). Yo Tim, i sent u those Kel Spencer freestyles. U should stream them 4 the board.

I think Willennium is the best solo album. Here's how a break it down...the positives and negatives. LOST + FOUND This album finds him lyrically honest and his flow is alot more focused. He's putting his all in2 it. However, is it always a good thing that he's really going 4 it? I actually like the way that on his other albums, u can tell it all came 2 him so easily. The production is good on every track of the album. However, it's not amazing. While some beats are slightly better than others, none of them really jump out at u. The sound of the album is consitant, which is good. WILLENNIUM The weak points of Willennium are "Wild Wild West"'s presence on it. A few of the trax like "Freakin' It" and "Da Butta" have sub-standard production. The cameos on the album are a bit overdone as well. Overall tho', the production is dope. I'm Comin,' Afro Angel, Potnas, The Rain, No More...those trax are some of the best produced Hip-Hop songs of all time. The production on Lost + Found simply can't touch tho's trax i just mentioned. FP is at home on this album in every way. Jazzy Jeff and A Touch of Jazz is all over it. It doesn't get much better than that. Not 2 mention the majority of the album being JJ+FP. To me, Willennium is easily the best solo album. I'd love 2 see the next album being a mixure of the 2 albums tho.'

Again, i can't see him forming a sub-group with people who aren't his close personal friends. And Eminem...i CAN deny his talent...cuz i don't think he has much. He at least doesn't tap in2 it much. I just don't think it makes much sense having him collaborate with other artists 2 often. He's never done it much. When he worked with Lil' Kim many of us were just confused, tho' their chemistry waz alot better than i expected. When he did "So Fresh," it just fit. Biz Markie and Slick Rick are not only on FP's level, they are also his close personal friends. U can't say that about Nas, Kanye West, Eminem, 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, etc.

ASHANTI - Rain On Me
-
I don't know about it being availble all over the world. But they'll only be available in limitd qualities. That means that if u don't get it with in 2 weeks or so, u'll never get it.
-
I think the only way this idea wouldn't be wack is if his real friends did it with him. That pretty much makes it so that only LL Cool J, Biz Markie, MC Lyte, Queen Latifah, Kel Spencer. Which would be dope!! I really wouldn't wanna see him working with most of the people everyone else mentioned. It would come off as unecessary as those Best of Both Worlds albums.
-
I'm thinkin' it wazn't. Since they released the remix single as a promo, i think the video would have come out with that...and i got it weeks ago. When i look back at the discription of the original video, the actual one dosen't really fit it at all. I'm thinkin' all that stuff waz rumored and probably a lie.

Ouch! sources say M.O.P and Mobb Deep Sing with...
JumpinJack AJ replied to Vipa's topic in Caught in the Middle
Turntable....NE's last album might have been good...but it's no where as near as dope as their others. Home Again waz flawless and had 3 hit videos and singles. One Love only had a minor hit with "Hot 2 Nite." -

Well, "Gettin' Jiggy Wit It" without the edit of "mama see mama sa ma ma cu-za" is available on the 12" promo. Parts of the original versions of the BWS trax are on the snippets of an Australia CD single for "Gettin' Jiggy Wit It." -

I can't share that attitude. What makes good music is when an artist stays true 2 themselves and dosen't comprimize their style. M.O.P. is raw and honest. G-Unit makes explict rap music for little kids. It just dosen't make sense. Look what happened 2 New Edition when they signed with Bad Boy. They didn't have control over their album or who they worked with. The quality of the music suffered. Some fans were disappointed. And now they are off the label and stuggling 2 come back. It's the same story. -

I really wanted Sony 2 do a remix album for FP but that never happened. There are alternate versions of a few trax. Not 2 many songs are recorded in the form they make the album. The original "Pump Me Up" had lots more sampling in it. The original version of "La Fiesta" waz slower. Big Willie Style originally have more scratching by Jeff on it and more adlibs which were taken off the album. -
JJ+FP has never talked about a music video 4 the song. This could totally be an urban legend.

RICKY BELL - Ricardo Campana (the album)
