Ouch! sources say M.O.P and Mobb Deep Sing with...
JumpinJack AJ replied to Vipa's topic in Caught in the Middle
Turntable....NE's last album might have been good...but it's no where as near as dope as their others. Home Again waz flawless and had 3 hit videos and singles. One Love only had a minor hit with "Hot 2 Nite." -

Well, "Gettin' Jiggy Wit It" without the edit of "mama see mama sa ma ma cu-za" is available on the 12" promo. Parts of the original versions of the BWS trax are on the snippets of an Australia CD single for "Gettin' Jiggy Wit It." -

I can't share that attitude. What makes good music is when an artist stays true 2 themselves and dosen't comprimize their style. M.O.P. is raw and honest. G-Unit makes explict rap music for little kids. It just dosen't make sense. Look what happened 2 New Edition when they signed with Bad Boy. They didn't have control over their album or who they worked with. The quality of the music suffered. Some fans were disappointed. And now they are off the label and stuggling 2 come back. It's the same story. -

I really wanted Sony 2 do a remix album for FP but that never happened. There are alternate versions of a few trax. Not 2 many songs are recorded in the form they make the album. The original "Pump Me Up" had lots more sampling in it. The original version of "La Fiesta" waz slower. Big Willie Style originally have more scratching by Jeff on it and more adlibs which were taken off the album. -
JJ+FP has never talked about a music video 4 the song. This could totally be an urban legend.

I actually don't like Mobb Deep at all. I remember likin' a single or 2 off their 1st album...but that waz partially cuz one of my best friends liked them. Since then, other than that joint they did with Lil' Kim, which i only liked 4 the production, i just can't seem 2 like them at all. But M.O.P. is the truth. It would bug me seeing them do stuff with wack Shady/G-Unit acts. -
YES!!! I had a feeling this waz gonna happen. They'll have a proper audience 2 do a great set. I can't wait 2 see this!!

I ordered something from somebody online. When i got a confirmation e-mail from them that they got my payment, this waz part of that e-mail. It cracked me up so i thought i'd share... --- NOTICE FROM SELLER "MIGHTYVINYL.COM": Your ordered item(s) have been gently taken from our shelves with a set of sterilized, contamination-free gloves and placed onto a satin pillow. Our packing specialist from Japan lit a commemorative candle, and a hush fell over the crowd as he put your item(s) into the finest corrugated cardboard box that money can buy. We all proceeded to have a wonderful celebration afterwards, and the whole party marched down the street to the Post Office where the entire city of Seattle waved "Bon Voyage!" to your package. Your picture now hangs on our wall as Customer Of The Year. Thank you for your business.

I've never seen or even heard of those books. I have a Fresh Prince of Bel-Air book that is about the show and JJ+FP from the early 90's. It's aimed at younger kids. It has a few rare black and white pix in it.

MARQUES HOUSTON - I Wasn't Ready

At the same time, as someone who travels 2 the neighboring cities and towns all the time. There's lots of times when i've been stuck behind 2 or 3 cars driving at the same speed side by side. Next thing u know, there's a mile worth of drivers in 2 or 3 different lanes streaming cuz they are being held back by 2 or 3 drivers. It sucks....and those kinda freaks need 2 be ticketed for setting up slow-mo roadblocks. It's not like they aren't gonna keep ticketing wreckless drivers or anything.

I like the way he's been doing things. When i think about Jay-Z and Ludacris doing all those guest spots, it just overkills them 2 the point that even their fans start 2 get bored with what they do. I like the idea of him poppin' up on other people's albums once in awhile, but i think he needs 2 be picky about it. He dosen't need 2 associate himself with most of the people out now cuz their skillz aren't anything impressive. Keep in mind he's on the Elephant Man remix featuring him and Redman.

Party Starter Music Video Details
JumpinJack AJ replied to Lerkot's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
I'm not claiming she's a liar...infact, the video sounds alot like something FP would do. But i'm not believeing anything until i hear news from a legit source. The only thing that sounds shady is that part of it sounds like she's discribing a music video and not an experience. When it comes 2 performance videos, where an artists is basically taping a live performance, they shoot the performance over and over and over again. There's no way u can get all the angles and close ups shot in 1 performance. -
Welcome 2 the board!! It's good 2 see new people supporting JJ+FP and real Hip-Hop music in general. Hope u stick around and find alot of Hip-Hop u dig.
-
Cata! U gotta update this post saying it'll come out on June 14th instead of April!! People who aren't regulars might not see the update!

If u havn't been over there in a day or 2. A handful of idiots have spammed the board 2 the point that at least the 1st 5 pages are 95% trash. Prince has been leading the fight and i totally got his back on this one. While i don't expect a great change due 2 the moderators over there, i would like the support of everyone here. Even if it's just one post backing up the real fans over there. Thanx in advance 2 who ever goes over there and puts in work.

I love this remix...it's surprisingly brilliant.

Little did i know, when i waz a lil' kid, that my favorite emcee waz gonna have 4 movies in the top 100 of the most succesful movies ever.
-
I think his best scratching is what he dose when performing. That's where he really shows off. He takes it 2 the next level when there's hundreds or thousands of people in front of him.

the first track on big willie style
JumpinJack AJ replied to sonic1988's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
No, it's just a skit. Why would Jamie Foxx seriously be an obnoxious reporter? And since the skit waz recorded for the album (weeks or even months b4 it waz released, it couldn't be based off the actual event. -
This is from AOL --- Target: Left Lane Hogs - Finally! by Eric PetersSome good news: Left lane hogs are finally getting the attention they deserve from traffic cops -- and traffic laws. In at least two states -- Colorado and Florida -- cops are beginning to target drivers who squat in the far left lane and refuse to move right to let faster-moving traffic get by. For decades, these drivers have been allowed to create rolling roadblocks and interrupt the smooth (and therfore safe) flow of traffic with virtual impunity because "faiure to yield" laws were either not on the books -- or not enforced. And twenty-plus years of dumbed-down, politicized "driver's education" and "safety" campaigns had effectively propagandized the populace into believing their was only one cardinal sin -- "speeding." And so the focus of traffic "safety" enforcement was speed limit laws -- which of course were often ridiculous (the best example being the 55-mph National Maximum Speed Limit that Congress finally repealed in 1995.) But these under-posted, artificially low speed limits were found to be very useful in terms of generating an unforseen flow of easy money for state and local governments -- which soon became addicted. And it was so much easier for traffic cops to simply shoot fish in a barrel with their radar guns -- because almost every car on the road was going faster than the absurdly low posted limits. Much easier than actually looking for dangerous drivers, anyhow. This is finally changing, though. In Colorado, state police have written more than 500 tickets to left lane hogs since the beginning of the year. Twenty years ago, this would have been an unthinkable violation of the politically correct orthodoxy that only "speed kills" -- and therefore only enforcing speed limits (no matter how absurd or contrived) matters. But in fact, people who refuse to move right represent a major traffic safety hazard -- whether "they are doing the speed limit" (as they often bleat in self-righteous high dudgeon) or not. By refusing to allow other motorists to get by, the left lane dawdler causes traffic to back up unnaturally; drivers then angrily jockey for position -- and typically are forced into making a passing attempt in the right lane to get around the hog -- who seems to get some sort of weird passive-aggressive satisfaction from his obstinancy. The situation is frustrating, distracting -- and very unsafe. In fact, the lack of reflexive lane courtesy in this country is arguably the biggest single safety problem we have -- not "speeding." Consider the example of Germany -- where yielding to faster-moving traffic is part of the national culture and adhered to religiously. As a result, it is possible for the Germans to have unlimited speed Autobahns -- where drivers in the left lane often overtake other cars at tripe digit speeds. But because German drivers are taught to use their mirrors -- and immediately move right to allow faster-moving approaching cars to pass -- they have a lower accident and fatality rate than we do here in the United States with our dumbed-down speed limits. It will take time for the facts about the danger of left lane hogging to sink into the general consciousness -- the consequence of 20-plus years of neglect and outright disinformation peddled by know-nothing "safety" advocates. But, at last, things are beginning to change for the better.

Yeah,i love that song...and the video. I can't wait 2 pick up his new album. Hopefully this on won't get delayed for 8 months.
