  1. I'm gonna do everything i can 2 stay open minded. After all, some Executive Producers do nothing and have nothing 2 do with the album. Puffy is credited with being an Executive Producer of his 1997 album and all he did waz produce like 2 trax 4 it. The TrackMasters were mad cuz they were in the studio every day while that album waz being made...even if they weren't the producers of the trax being made that day. Even tho' LL is making this stupid decision, it doesn't mean 50 and the crappy team of people behind him will be all over the album. I'm hoping LL would stay true 2 himself. Alot of artists maintain their style even when they make moves like this. Out of the 10 singles or so that 50 released...about 2 of them had an okay beat...hopefully it's the producers of those songs that get beats 2 LL. Again, it just sounds like this is a re-packaged album that's coming out about 5 months after the original...meaning it's just a flash in the pan compared 2 his others. It would be nice if this rediculous idea brought some young, brainwashed, commerical rap fans 2 some hear a real lyricist and start 2 change the commercial face of Hip-Hop and Rap.
  2. This is rediculous. I have no problem with LL having no shame in making a hot radio-ready track. By doing a track or an album with 50 Cent is just stupid. Who wants 2 hear the G.O.A.T. with the W.O.A.T. (Wackest Of All Time)?!? In a very recent interview, LL said that he knows his record sales suffer cuz he won't cuss in his music and won't spread poison and talk all negative in his music. By working with a person who builds his whole career off the opposite is just crazy. I don't view it as another album...i just view it as a watered down remix album 2 his current one. I guess we'll see how it all turns out.
  3. I know who Robbie Williams is. He had a few hit singles a few years ago here in the US. I didn't like his music...and comparing him 2 FP is just silly. Especially putting FP under him. All i know is that when i saw JJ+FP perform, it waz one of the best times of my life.
  4. PETE ROCK + CL SMOOTH - Straighten It Out (Live On In Living Color) (1992)
  5. It's about time!! I can't wait 2 get this.
  6. Dallas Austin is incredibly talented and i love his stuff. But i've he's had "issues." I guess we all know now. This is probably why Chilli left his butt. He's work with JJ+FP, TLC, Boyz II Men, Monica, Pink, Madonna, etc is amoungst the best of the stuff coming out at it's respective time.
  7. ZIGGY MARLEY - Friend Love Is My Religion (2006)
  8. Send her back!! She may start recording another album!!
  9. No way is that Bad Boy album close 2 the level of their other stuff. Puffy ripped them in the process of making the album by forcing them 2 do so many trax with Bad Boy in-house producers...which aren't very good in the 1st place. NE themselves aren't happy with the album, check the interviews. It's funny that Bobby sat out on that album since Bobby Brown and Bad Boy almost fit 2gether.
  10. FP...number 2 to Robbie Williams!?!....puh-leeze.
  11. I got this ages ago...and i love it.
  12. JAMIE FOXX - Unpredictable (da album) (2005) I put this album on the shelf awhile ago...now i'm getting back in2 it.
  13. Man, i love Bobby Brown...but he needs 2 grow up. Back in the day, he spiced things up and made a name 4 himself. He's 2 old 4 all that now. U can't do the same thing like that 4ever. After awhile, nobody is gonna take u seriously. I'm still dying 4 a NE reunion after Bad Boy ruined the last one. B. Brown on deck would be perfect.
  14. That's one thing i'll agree with u on...ICP is one of the worst (and most untalented) things 2 ever happen 2 not only music as a while...but the human race. This is another situation where it's clear that u don't need any talent 2 sell millions of records.
  15. Well, the recent "Very Best of..." is perfect. It has all (and only) the hits/singles. The 1998 Greatest Hits has most of the hits and some good bonus stuff. I think when it comes 2 the Greatest Hits albums, they've done perfect. Maybe i'll put 2gether a compilation of good album music later.
  16. CORINNE BAILEY RAE - Put Your Records On (self-titled) (2006) I'm just lovin' her album...next up... NICK LACHEY - Ghosts What's Left of Me (2006)
  17. I read alot of this...i might go back and read in2 it more later. I have a problem with articles/interviews like this. There are always this articles and interviews being done where they talk about a negative, gangsta rap, or trash talking rappers and make them sound all deep, positive, smart, and so on. Sometimes it's coming right from the rapper's mouth. Then they drop their album that is supposed 2 be them turning over a new leaf, and it's the same negative, unoriginal crap that they did 100 times before. For instance...he's in that article talking about eating right...but in this album he'll talk about smoking weed and probably drinking. How are u gonna talk about taking care of your body, then talk about trashing it in your music. In an interview, some rappers come off more smart and humble, and maybe cuss 15 times or less. Then u get their album and they cuss 35 times in each song, totally forget all the knowlege they spoke in their interview, and talk about sex, drugs, and money in their music. I'm sorry, but these commerical rappers are phoney idiots.
  18. That's one of my fav LL joints!! That whole Jason's Lyric soundtrack is amazing. JILL SCOTT - A Long Walk Who Is Jill Scott? (2000)
  19. If Yayo wants 2 compliment Hip-Hop....he just shouldn't make music.
  20. KELLY ROWLAND - Train On A Track Simply Deep (2002)
  21. Fresh Prince, LL Cool J, Rakim, MC Hammer, Run + DMC, Heavy D, Left Eye, Chuck D, Kel Spencer, Shock-G, MC Lyte, Speech, Q-Tip + Phife, Busta Rhymes + L.O.N.S, Queen Latifah, Grand Puba, Pos + Dave, Guru, 2Pac, Treach + Vinnie, Young MC, Ice Cube, Big Daddy Kane, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Skee-Lo, Ahmad, etc
  22. Ha ha!! That's dope!! I waz listening 2 Run's album 2day. He's alot like FP in the sense that he is a big team player and supports alot of 2day's dilluted, crappy commerical artists of recent years, but it's good 2 see he's only supporting real legends with this list. Thanx 4 posting!!
  23. Whoa, i can't agree with the statement that sales equal talent and good music. Nelly, Ja-Rule, 50 Cent + G-Unit, Lil' Jon, J-Kwon, Ying Yang Twinz, and alot of other artists have sold millions and they have no talent and their music is awful. It's been this way 4 awhile.
  24. I don't watch movies like that. I've just never had an interest in scarty/horror/thriller type movies. I have alot of friends who have seen it tho.' I've had 2 of them say they didn't like it. But most of them said they did like it but that the end waz really stupid. Maybe i'll give it a watch sometime.
