  1. Exactly. That's why he did it in '95. It's obvious that's the reason. After all, L+F attacked all the fools messing it up. Another good point. It's like the Noah's Ark story. It's gotten so bad that it's time 2 punish the game, wipe out the population, and only spare a few key people.
  2. What is Wikipedia all about anyway? Is it a popular site or something. Cuz other than these recent posts, i've never heard of it and don't really care what they say.
  3. Very good point. I always imagined a total collapse where rebuilding could eventually happen. But i like your idea better. I did something the other nite that i haven't done in YEARS. I went in2 an AOL chat room (i used 2 do it alot 10 years ago). So i went in2 a Hip-Hop chatroom and laughed at how little they have changed when it comes 2 clashing opinions and such. They were actually talking about FP and LL when i came in, but i missed what they were talking about. It waz interesting 2 hear what different people had 2 say. There were 4 other true Hip-Hop fans in there. It didn't seem like any commercial Rap fans were in there cuz all the other idiots were just talking 2 themselves and about random things not Hip-Hop related.
  4. Wow, articles like this relieve me and anger me at the same time. With all this negative press coming from every direction, the whole commerical game is about 2 crumble 2 pieces. Bye bye Ja, Nelly, Young ______, Lil'______, G-Unit, etc. I like how they pointed out Hip-Hop heads getting in2 other artists and music cuz i can totally relate 2 that. Hip-Hop will always be my favorite kinda music, but over the past 2 or 3 years, i've gotten more and more in2 other stuff cuz Hip-Hop music is harder 2 find and commercial rap just plain sucks...peiod. It would be crazy if Hip-Hop became pretty underground all over again. Then only people who truely loved it would be making it, leading 2 inspiring music that matters. "This is why i'm hot, this is why i'm hot this is why, this is why, this is why i'm hot i'm hot cuz i'm fly, u ain't cuz u not this is why, this is why, this is why i'm hot" Garbage hooks like that will soon be a thing of the past.
  5. In most aspects, i totally agree. But since i've had the album 4 so long, i couldn't imagin it any other way (other than being 2 CDs long with the extended versions).
  6. I can't say that hasn't popped in my head.
  7. JODECI - Forever My Lady Forever My Lady (1991) ON THE RADIO!! It's always great when u hear something u grew up on on the radio.
  8. Ahhh...sorry 2 hear that, man. Oh well, this is minor compared 2 what u are destined for if u keep keepin' on.
  9. Yeah, very weird. Master P's whole No Limit music and movies thing is kinda washed up. I can't remember them having a legit hit in years. Same with the movies. So it makes me wonder if it's big budget and if so, why they would want Master P...or if it's low budget, and if so, what makes FP wanna be a part of it (the script?). It just seems very random. The way he announced it seemed like it just recently happened. Since he didn't provide info, he himself probably doesn't have much info. I think Master P is pretty wack, but i'm not against the movie as long as it's good...and in fact he has acting skillz. I just pray 2 God they don't do a song 2gether...ha ha.
  10. So i was watching yesterdays episode of BET's 106 + Park. Romeo (aka Lil' Romeo) waz on the show, and his father, Master P came out during the last half of the interview. Before they wrapped it up, Master P yelled this out..."Hip-Hop is going to the next level, i'm doing a new movie. Me and Romeo are doing a movie with Will Smith and his son." The audince got loud and applauded as they went 2 a commerical. One of the hosts said "That's what's up." Now i have no idea what the movie could be about. But even tho' i think Master P and the whole No Limit family made some of the worst rap music ever (and piggybacked the wack Dirty South movement), i actually think this could be a hilarous idea. Think about the 'odd couple factor. One legendary old school emcee with a 90's famed southern rapper who had alot of phoney hardcore hits doing a movie with their sons, showing the growth and age of Hip-Hop and Rap.
  11. I played Earthworm Jim on the SNES just 2 days ago.
  12. U don't get it, man. When it comes 2 Hip-Hop, the standards are higher. There's so many different things 2 look at. Lyrics, flow, delivery, ability 2 rock a crowd, lyrics vs. that artist's real life, their message and subject matter, their wit, their creativity, their sound and production, their heart, Hip-Hop's contribution to their life and music (or lack of it), and then the bells and whistles (like gear, dancing, singing, etc). That's why groups like JJ+FP, Tribe, Run-DMC, Fearless Four, S-N-P, and so on are at the top of things. That's why groups like G-Unit and UGK are jokes. The Spice Girls are pop, man. It's pure fun. I'm not sitting down critiquing their lyrics and about 2 see if their lyrics controdict their real life style. It's not like i'm holding Spice Girls up 2 the expectations of De La Soul...that's rediculous. Taste in music is taste in music. Who really cares. I don't care if somebody likes The Hot Boyz or Bigtymers...but i have a problem if someone tries 2 say they are real Hip-Hop.
  13. Man, u guys left me in the dark. :bangcomp: ...jus' playin'
  14. Maybe people that worked there 15 years ago or more. My personal top 15 would be... (in no paticular order) JJ+FP Run-DMC Heavy D + The Boyz A Tribe Called Quest De La Soul Kid 'N Play Salt-N-Pepa Public Enemy Brand Nubian EPMD Eric B. + Rakim Gang Starr Digable Planets The Fugees Digital Underground
  15. Sorry if this has already been posted. I don't check this board very often. My friend, who is a huge Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, waz doing some random research online 2nite and came up with something that surprised me...but looking back, i don't doubt it. James Avery voiced The Shredder on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon of the 80's and 90's. Check the link... http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0131613/
  16. Man, i thought somebody else would be excited about this...i had 2 re-title this 2 hopefully generate some interest in it. I waz sitting back and thinking about the casting. Typically for these super hero movies, they get unknowns play the parts. The most well-known Green Lantern has always been Hal Jordan, the 90's waz Guy Gardner and the 2000's his John Stewart. Who happens 2 be black...and in the cartoon version of the Justice League. Fresh Prince would be perfect for the part. He looks the part and he's always wanted 2 play a superhero (wanting 2 be Robin in Batman Forever.) I could totally see FP bulking up, doning the green suit, and flying around while kicking people's butts.
  17. Ha ha...i thought it waz Brakes who i remember liking them. U aren't the only one brotha! The Spice Girls were just fun. They started pop music up when it waz dead. Their style and energy 2 me is something that music is missing. They brought fun 2 music again while phoney gangsta were shooting up the streets and alternative punks were moaning about how life sucked and how they wanted 2 kill themselves (one of them doing so). I must say i'm looking forward 2 it. Who else can turn "The Humpty Dance" in2 a fly pop song...ha ha.
  18. I'm pretty sure that he waz accepted as in he applied...but that music waz always the main focus 4 him. His parents weren't 2 happy with that...ha ha. But they are obviously fine with it now.
  19. It's not really newz 2 most of it. Check Born To Reign....the movies are just the chick on the side. That's the way it's always been.
  20. Rock The House is classic. If u are a JJ+FP fan and get your hands on it...DO IT. It's the album that started it all. There would be no hits, Grammys and other awards, TV show, movies, etc. That album is JJ+FP straight raw. Clever rhymes and amazing sampling. It's the fantasy stuff that old school Hip-Hop albums are made up of.
  21. I can't believe this newz didn't get posted. One of my friends told me back when it waz 1st in print, but i 4got 2 look up any newz on it until now. I must say that a shamelessly love the Spice Girls. :3-laugh3: --------------------- Spice Girls to reunite By Jonathan Prynn, Evening Standard 16.02.07 Girl Power revived: the Spice Girls are to reform The Spice Girls are set for a huge reunion concert this autumn - six years after they split. All five former members of the Girl Power phenomenon are said to be agreed in principle to a charity concert in London followed by a national tour. The reunion comes after the success of the Take That revival. The girls would appear with Nineties band Boyzone, who are also reforming, according to industry figures. "They are really keen to do it if there is a charity angle. They are talking about doing it for Bono's Red campaign. It's been on the cards for a while, at least a couple of months. They are all good friends now," said one source. Senior executives at TV production company Emap TV, who want to broadcast the concert, are flying to Los Angeles this weekend for detailed talks with Simon Fuller, the band's former manager, who still represents Victoria Beckham. One sticking point is said to be their £ 2.5 million- a- head demands for the broadcast rights to the charity concert and tour. Ticket receipts for the concert itself would go to charity. Details of the concert are still being negotiated but it would have to be after the birth of Baby Spice Emma Bunton's first baby in the summer. Scary Spice Melanie Brown is also due to give birth in March. Ginger Spice Geri Halliwell had a daughter, Bluebell Madonna last May. The fifth member is Sporty Spice Melanie Chisholm. The plans involve a concert at a huge London venue, possibly Hyde Park, in September or October. It will be 11 years after the Spice Girls exploded on to the pop scene with their debut single Wannabe, still the biggest selling single by an all-female group. A further eight No 1s followed before they broke up in February 2001 after record sales of 55 million. Halliwell left the band in 1998. The Beckhams are close to U2 front man Bono, whose Red campaign raises money to help victims of Aids. Last year David appeared in a TV advert for the Motorola's Red Razr mobile phone, which generates a contribution to the charity every time it is used. There have been a succession of rumours about a reunion, particularly at the time of the Live 8 concert in 2005. Earlier this month Beckham, Bunton and Halliwell were spotted having dinner together at Nobu restaurant in London, leading to renewed speculation. Bunton was recently asked about a reunion on the Richard and Judy TV show and replied: "I would love to. Even the other girls have said they'd love to do it. It would be great."
  22. This article is calling me a geek....and i'm fine with that...ha ha. I grew up on DC Comics superheros and still watch movies, TV shows, and cartoons of them regularly. And i'm really hoping they can get the current cast members for their respective heros 2 play their parts. Something like this will totally revolutionize the comic book industry and effect movies, books, and video games for years. When i watched my Super Friends DVD, one of the people commenting on a featurette complained how business waz these days and that u can't just license a group of heros, but that u have 2 do each one seperatly, which costs alot and how they didn't wanna mix Superman and Batman together which is why the World's Finest movie waz never made. ----------------------------------- http://movies.msn.com/movies/hitlist/02-27-07_4?GT1=7701 Last week's announcement that Warner Bros. was developing a movie version of the classic superhero group the Justice League of America, entitled "Justice League," was a dream many geeks never thought would happen. Even more exciting was that Variety reported the movie wouldn't just include Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman but also possibly longtime JLA members The Flash, Aquaman, Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter. How the screenwriters, Kieran and Michele Mulroney, will make it all work is anyone's guess. More importantly, can the studio convince the current movie versions of Superman and Batman, Brandon Routh and Christian Bale, respectively, to come on board another franchise? As it currently stands, Christopher Nolan's "Batman Begins" sequel, "The Dark Knight," will begin shooting this spring for a 2008 release. Warner Bros. expects a new "Superman" movie from Bryan Singer in 2009. They also recently announced that "Night at the Museum" director Shawn Levy would take the reigns of "The Flash." New screenwriters were also brought on board for the long-delayed "Wonder Woman" feature. Would that push "Justice League" to 2010 or beyond? Or, could it become the cinematic launching pad for both characters? The studio has experienced this scenario before. It developed a Batman and Superman project, "World's Finest," that Wolfgang Petersen spearheaded, while at the same time investing in the individual features that became "Batman Begins" and "Superman Returns." Ultimately, the solo projects got the go ahead and "Finest" was put on the shelf. It's possible the studio may go with either a "League" movie or solo pictures for the scarlet speedster and the amazing Amazon -- after scripts for all three are worked on. This won't thrill the individual producers working on all these projects, but it might up the ante to churn out something worth spending the big bucks on. In the meantime, word was circulating that one of the ideas the Mulroneys had was to structure "League" with an older Batman who was guiding a younger Superman and Wonder Woman. The rumor ends with the studio wanting Tom Welling (Smallville) portraying the younger Man of Steel, but that's hard to believe considering Routh is more than two years younger than his TV counterpart. Because both Routh and Bale have multiyear deals to play their respective characters, it wouldn't be surprising to see a "League" movie negotiated as one of their current commitments. Would you rather see a "Justice League" movie or individual flicks for "The Flash" and "Wonder Woman"? Send your thoughts and comments to buzz@microsoft.com.
  23. Is that Musiq's video...or did they do a video 4 the remix with Kel? I love the video 2 the regular version...just a good video 4 a good song. But since i heard the version with Kel on the radio, i waz hoping 4 a remix video...that would get Kel seen instead of just heard.
