  1. I thought their work displayed in the Homebase insert waz great. I've always wondered if that organization still existed and if their murals still stood in Philly.
  2. JOHN MAYER - Dreaming With A Broken Heart Continuum (2006) Man, this is the 1st time i really listened 2 the lyrics of this song. Amazing. Been there...made me go there again.
  3. I know about LL's comment months ago, i thought this waz a new comment tho.' If anyone knows if recycled from months ago. It kinda surprises me that this new LL album hasn't taken on much of a form yet. Maybe he's having second thoughts about working with current commerical rappers. Maybe Jay-Z isn't paying any attention 2 the album.
  4. I don't know. Flavor Flav is "the joker" of PE. It's his kinda thing 2 be out there doing crazy stuff like reality. I don't have a serious problem with his shows. They are mad hilarious 2 me and he does share some respectable moment with the audience here and there. And it has drawn a lil' more attention 2 PE's music. I just can't be mad at what he's doing.
  5. Yeah, there waz no official news of the album. He gave me the scoop that the album waz in the works and that he waz helping out with it. But a few months later i brought it up and he said that the project fell thru.' When u look at the vibe of Lost + Found and how he waz working with artists like Mary J. Blige, Robin Thicke, Snoop Dogg, Ludacris...all who are having great years, u know the project would have probably been eclectic and a sucess.
  6. I've never seen it, but it looks interesting. It's probably full of very basic info tho.'
  7. Well, there are different versions of CD singles. But i would definitly say 2 get "The Thigns U Do" CD single cuz that one typically has really good remixes on it. "I'm Looking For The One" has remixes that are basically the same as the album version...but it also usually has the b-side "Get Hyped." I say go 4 it!!
  8. "How am I gonna re-sign with competition? I'm not an idiot. I can't depend on that man to promote my record while he's somewhere writing rhymes. I'm L.L. Cool J." -- LL Cool J on Why He Won't Renew His Contract With Def Jam if Jay-Z Is Still in Charge Rate This Quote 67% Thumbs Up 37,273 20% Thumbs Down 11,352 13% I'm Not Sure 7,245 Total votes: 55,870 ------------------------------------------ I like how he called Jay-Z out. Jay-Z had some edge back in 1996, but since then, he's just dropped a decent single here and there. I view him as an savy business man who is egotistically self-obsorbed and way overrated. I think him running Def Jam is still a joke and it's gotta be embarassing that LL Cool J, the cornerstone of Def Jam is leaving. It just dosen't seem right...but it seems much more right than anyone other than Russell Simmons running Def Jam. Under the quote is the results from people voting on their point of view. I'm surprised so many people have sided with LL since they are so many commercial rap fans out there supporting Jay-Z
  9. BEYONCE - Listen (Instrumental) Listen CD Single / Dreamgirls (2006)
  10. Yeah, i got the DVD as part of the boxset he released in 2004 (i think). Really good show. U can now get just the DVD at Wal-Mart for like $9.72. Great price 4 a great show.
  11. That title's kinda misleading....don't say FP is producing it if he isn't. It waz a let down 2 not see him on the list. They've been friends and business potnas forever, which makes u think they'd collaborate again...but at the same time, she might wanna stand on her own 2 feet and break outta his shadows. I can't wait 4 the new album. The line up of producers sounds really good. I hope she gets it out 4 the summer and that FP is on it somewhere.
  12. DJ JAZZY JEFF + RAHEEM DEVAUGHN - My Soul's Not 4 Sale The Return of The Magnificent EP (2007)
  13. I really like Jazz myself. I used 2 listen 2 it more back in the day than i do now tho.' I really like the modern stuff that is smooth and R-N-B infested. I appriciate the old stuff like the big band stuff, but for the most part, i just like the smooth stuff. I don't really follow any artists, but i do have a Jazz station programed in2 the radio in my car.
  14. Those of u who really want The Return of The Magnificent EP should really check for the CD promo released in the UK. Of course the sound quality is perfect, but u'll also get bonus trax. I FINALLY got mine in the mail. It comes in a cheap plastic CD sleeve with a very basic insert. The one side has the album cover and the other has the title and tracklisting (black text over a plain white paper). It has a sticker on it saying the following... "The Return of The Magnificent" DJ JAZZY JEFF - BBE + Rapster Records - February 5, 2007. The Grammy award winning DJ Jazzy Jeff presents the follow up to 2001's hugely succesful release "The Magnificent" with a brand new artist album titled "The Return of The Magnificent," due to be released in February. As a preview for "Return of The Magnificent," BBE/Rapster Recrods will be releasing a 5 track 12" EP which serves as the perfect taster to the full length album. The EP features Kanye West's new protegee Rhymefest, then infamous CL Smooth, North Carolina's Little Brother, Neo Soul superstar Raheem DeVaughn and the new instrumenatl Latin cut BossyNova. Return of The Magnificent already promises to be one of 2007's highlights, as Jeff himself says "This is turning out to be the best record I have ever done." The real reason 2 cop the UK promo is the 2 extra trax... Tracklisting: 1. Jeff N Fess feat. Rhymefest 2. Jeff N Fess feat. Rhymefest (Clean) 3. Jeff N Fess (Instrumental) 4. My Soul's Not 4 Sale feat. Raheem DeVaughn 5. Whatever U Want w/ Little Brother 6. All I Know feat. CL Smooth 7. BossyNova Every track is dope...can't wait for da LP.
  15. TOBYMAC + BOOTSY COLLINS - Diverse City Welcome To Diverse City (2004)
  16. I kinda figured that...but it was hilarious in the movie. :3-laugh3:
  17. I got it back in 2000ish...i haven't listened 2 it since. I don't really remember the track. I didn't think it sounded bad tho.' Just something different.
  18. That's why it's "based on a true story"...cuz it's not literally a true story. Besides $250 a week doesn't really get u anything anyway. To me, that doesn't make the real story less impressive.
  19. I actually have a CD single from Timbuktu from like 2000. I won a Hip-Hop CD on ebay and the seller sent me a few other singles with it for free. I'm trying 2 think of some of the people who have come outta Maryland. Here's a short list... Jada, Johnny Gill, Toni Braxton, Tamar Braxton + The Braxtons, Dru Hill, Ginuwine, Delious (from All-4-One), and Kev Brown (i think). There's a handful of others but i they aren't coming 2 mind.
  20. I dont' think American Idol is a bad show...or even reality TV. It's undiscovered talent competing 4 the spotlight. In the early part of the season they show both the good and the bad. Most of the final few singers are actually very talented. On top of that, there's nothing fake about it and it's family friendly. It's one of the highest rated shows of all time. I think it would be a great place 4 MJ 2 make an appearance. Besides, most of the singers are probably MJ fans.
  21. This is my 3rd V-Day being single. I don't know about anyone else, but it doesn't even feel like V-Day when u are single. It made me think back 2 when i wazn't single...which waz kinda sad cuz i always did V-Day up real big and always had alot of fun. Oh well, i have a feeling next year will be V-Day again.
