  1. Apparently Musiq is letting every emcee and rapper who wants, drop a verse or 2 on the song. Either that or mixtape DJ's are blending vocals or other people are simply dropping vocals over the already-finished song. I haven't heard the remix with Kel on the radio since that 1st time about 2 months ago. But since then, i've heard another duo of wack rappers on another 'remix.' The song is huge now so i've only heard the regular version more recently. MUSIQ SOULCHILD - Msphildelphia Luvamusic (2007)
  2. MUSIQ SOULCHILD - B.U.D.D.Y. Luvamusiq (2007) It's great seeing quality music doing well.
  3. Is anybody going to the video shoot for "The Building?" I'm hoping i can go and i waz wondering if i'll be able 2 meet up with any JJ+FP.com peeps.
  4. TONI BRAXTON + FOXY BROWN - You're Makin' Me High (Groove Remix) You're Makin' Me High (Remix) / Let It Flow CD Single (1996)
  5. SIR-MIX-ALOT - Baby Got Back (Hurricaine MIx) CD Single (1992)
  6. Yeah, he's not credited...but it's him.
  7. Backstreet Boys never broke up. Spice Girls never officially did either. I remember reading that all these years on their website, it stated that they are "together." I believe that only NSYNC has retired as a group.
  8. U put that negative energy out there and it's just gonna come right back at u one way or another.
  9. HOUSE OF PAIN - On Point (Lethal Dose Remix) CD Single (1994) Missing that grimy mid-90's Hip-Hop at the moment.
  10. POV + JADE - All Thru The Nite (BH Extended Mix) (CD Single) (1993)
  11. I'm not familiar with their 2000-plus stuff (other than a remix they did with Mya), but i love their 90's stuff. I saw them perform live back in 1993.
  12. Yeah, it's rediculous how "professional" writers get to keep their job even tho' they put so much of their own opinions and feeling in2 what they write. They act like people posting on a message board. On top of that, they don't even do research on the people they talk 2.
  13. Thanx 4 posting that!! I love the respect he shows for JJ+FP.
  14. JOHN MAYER - Love Soon Inside Wants Out (1999)
  15. That waz hilarious. I peeped this early this morning but never got 2 post about it. They definitly gotta put this on the album. It's 2 funny. FP's sampled vocals were on The Magnificent....this interlude on TROTM...so there's gotta be a JJ+FP song on the next album. I love the part where Jazzy says "thank u" after he's already been put on hold.
  16. I gotta be real. I haven't checked the track. I've had the chance and passed it up. Everyone is either saying it's average or it's crap. Peedie has no credibility really and his name doesn't attract me 2 the track. And if Jay-Z showed up on a Jazzy Jeff track, i'd believe it waz the day Hip-Hop died. The truth is, any joint by Jazzy could be a hit. It's all a matter of if that's what Jeff and/or BBE want 2 accomplish. Then considering what would be done with promotion, the video, radio airplay, etc.
  17. 2 soon people...2 soon!! R. KELLY - I'm A Flirt (2007)
  18. JOE - If I Was Your Man Ain't Nothing Like Me (2007) Man, this song is soooo good. Joe is back!!
  19. So many different things contribute 2 this. So many albums only have 1 or 2 good songs...or at least 1 or 2 songs that record companies pay lots of money 2 get played. Real talent has 2 settle for next to nothing. The creative process of putting any album 2gether is ignored by fluff artists who just make songs with big name producers. Real albums have flow and concept. They have a vibe that simply can't be created unless u have in the zone and trying 2 accomplish something with the music u make. Record labels only care about the here and now and the dollar that can be made. They don't care about music or the craft in general. They don't care about the fans or anything. And fans obviously don't demand anything from the artists or labels or the state of music wouldn't be so crappy. There are definitly those artists and those groups who only exist for that single download, but it's time 4 music fans 2 step up and start buying these albums. Show that support. If a true artist drops and album and u can count on them 4 quality music, go get it for God's sake.
  20. This week, rapper Will Smith followed the recent trend in rap music by purchasing his very own Pimp Cup.
  21. JOHN REUBEN - I John Reu See Evertything In Hindsight (2002) ...fresh...
  22. Julie, most of the songs on Todd Smith were for the ladies...ha ha...can't u get enough!? Other than the production, i don't think the song is bad at all. His delivery reminds of his laidback 90's style. And i love the lyrics. The combination of name dropping, the 90's delivery, the simplistic old school writing style, etc. I'd never call it one his top 150 joints...but i didn't expect so many 2 dislike the song...ha ha.
