Brakes, u forgot the most important thing.....LYRICS. -
That's a bit on the dramatic side if u ask me. Jeff is laid back. I'm more surprised at Skillz since he voiced his opinion the way it did. I see it as time passing and resolution 2 something that only music fans are worrying about. Eminem seems 2 want 2 get 2 a better place in his music and having Jazzy and Skillz there was a good move compared 2 having people like 50 Cent which not only would have been more easy for him 2 get but what the audience would have wanted 2 see. It was also a good exposure for Jazzy and Skillz. I think we are making a big deal outta something that really isn't a big deal at all. I think it would have been hilarious if FP rushed the stage for a track.

I like her. I heard her on that one JT song he released online but never followed her. I like this song excellent dance/pop. She's got alot more class and better lyrics some other popular dance artists out there. I'm gonna keep my eye on her. Thanx for sharing this. -

Can't wait 2 see what else will be added. There should be a pinned post in this forum with the history of the message board and website. The very 1st version of the message board was so rough...ha ha.

Jazzy did his thing! He totally took it old school on that. And yeah, Eminem did take it personal when FP made that speech putting it out there that he did make a huge career out of making music where he could be real instead of trying 2 be hard and putting out negative energy. In the beginning, with "The Real Slim Shady," Eminem wasn't dissing Will. Listen 2 the line. Again, it was when the single got big, all of these fans thought he was dissing FP. Since everyeone thought that and since Eminem buys in2 whatever gimmicks he can, he let that assumption turn in2 what was him insulting FP. It's after fans established that, that the "Forgot About Dre" video was done, the masks, the interviews. Like FP said, there's a JJ+FP fan in Eminem and nearly every emcee and rapper wishes they were FP on some kinda level. If there was something seriously there, Em would have eaten up the line in "Mr. Niceguy" and said something about it. Jazzy wouldn't have been at this event if there was real beef there. Eminem needed Jazzy there as some credibility because he has strayed so far away from true Hip-Hop that he needed his re-energized music 2 be given a chance that otherwise didn't deserve it.

Who named it? It's actually the "Miami Mix" which can be found on most version of the CD single. I was so mad when i found out "Miami" was the next single off the album. To this day it's my least favorite song off of BWS.

Hmmmm...not much of a fan of the new look right now. The board is missing some soul.

Method Man & Redman - Blackout II
JumpinJack AJ replied to Turntable's topic in Caught in the Middle
I got the album but i've barely listened 2 it so far. At times, when sampling, it came off as kind of predictable. That's not a bad thing, but it's not knocking my socks off. There's definitly a few stand out tracx on here. I'm gonna get in2 this album more this week. -
I listened 2 the whole album. I liked it enough to buy it. This is the 1st Eminem album i've bought new since The Marshall Mathers LP. All of the beats can only be rated at 6's or 7's. Maybe an 8 if u are generious. What i do like is that the beats are going back 2 a sound closer 2 his earlier stuff and that that they are set up 2 let him just rap over them so that the listener actually listens 2 him and not an over produced beat which is what alot of people settle for. His flow is actually pretty good. It reminds me of when emcees actually cared about how they flowed over the track. His voice and delivery are kinda annoying over more than half of the album. The fact that he's trying different things and doing it on songs that don't matter lyrically as much as others is what makes me be able 2 listen 2 them without skipping at this point. Lyrically there's pieces of the old Eminem and crappier, later-model Eminem. Something about this album has me listening 2 it kinda often. I think i'm an Eminem fan again. I've been listening 2 Relapse more than Busta Rhymes' new album and Method Man + Redman's new albums. The bonus track that i've heard and liked was "Careful What U Wish For." I wanna get my hands on that.

The "Forgot About Dre" video, the masks, the live show bits all came out after everyone took that line as a diss and since it turned in2 that, Eminem just started doing it. The actual line isn't a diss. He does diss just about anybody he can, but listen 2 half of those lines...half the time they aren't disses, he just says something about them that actually isn't insulting about them.

JANET JACKSON + KANYE WEST - My Baby Damita-Jo (2004)? Janet needs 2 get back 2 music like this....and fast!!
-
Oh, i'm not saying there aren't lots. I must say i kinda liked the remix of "This Is Why..." only because i hadn't heard Junior Reid in about 10 years at that point and thought he brought a good vibe 2 the remix...but that's it.
-
"This Is Why I'm Hot" was one of the worst songs of the 2000's. It was so bad that i wasn't even gonna give his other stuff a listen.

Mariah's New Album title; Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel
JumpinJack AJ replied to ant1's topic in Caught in the Middle
This article is just stupid. Eminem saying stuff like that has always been one of his unimaginative gimmicks. I find it strange that Nick Cannon let it get 2 him since Eminem has been so predictable. At the same time, Eminem should keep his topics off of stuff like marriage. I mean, if u are married 2 someone, u are going 2 stand up for your marriage and the person u are with. So i can see where that could sting...but at the same time, it's just Eminem. I love that Nick called Eminem out on his music not progressing. Someone in the industry needed 2 say that. Unlike alot of people here, i like Nick Cannon's music. I'll listen 2 Nick's stuff anyday over Eminem's. Nick isn't a battle rapper...but i wish he'd drop more music.
