  1. Not watching anything at the moment, but that's usually the case when I'm on the computer... but here is a comprehensive list of my favoritest things to watch on teevee (far more detailed & organized than necessary)... Sports -- Boston Celtics basketball (Toine!), Boston College basketball (23-2!), NBA on TNT (Chuck!), Pardon the Interruption, SportsCenter Sitcoms -- Arrested Development, the Simpsons, Family Guy, That 70's Show, Scrubs Comedy Shows -- Late Night w. Conan O'Brien, Late Show w. David Letterman, Daily Show w. Jon Stewart, Saturday Night Live, Chappelle Show
  2. I don't think there are any details :dunno: but I'm definately just as excited about Jeff's album as Will's :werd: ... "The Magnificent" was top notch. (I worked in 3 different smileys.. wut now???)
  3. Ahhhhh, I see... I think I get a pass tho, seeing as that came out before I was born lol
  4. Sweetness. A movie that plays on my city's history of sketchy race-relations :toetap:
  5. :ditto: As deflated as I was when I first heard Switch (my first posts ever on these boards were angry bitter rants), Ive now completely gone full circle.
  6. The beat from "drop it like its hot" is one of my favorite hip-hop beats in a long time, and hearing "Girls..." over it is pretty sweet. Coupla things tho... note 1: "asked me was i horny" note 2: "i punched her in the chin" Rougher, scrappier Will? haha
  7. haha yeah i know i referred to it as a "freestyle" but that would be ridiculous if he really did that outta nowhere... in ANY case, thumbs up!
  8. Honestly, this freestyle just made me about 100x more excited about L&F then Switch ever did. That is good stuff!! Thanks for the link. :cya:
  9. Yeah to take this one step further, I haven't posted this before, but every time I see a "get Will on TRL" post or "I hope this CD is a huge success" comment, I think to myself: ok... am I supposed to care that much? Don't get me wrong, as a fan, that's cool, I'd be happy for him or whatever if L&F is commercially popular, maybe that gives him more leverage & motivation to make more music, and I guess this gives us something to talk about on these boards before we actually hear the album lol. But I'd rather a great collection of music that completely flops than a slighty less great collection that the mainstream loves anyday. Quality is everything, hype is nothing. I'm sure most of you feel that way too, but just sayin. oh im the same in that all i really care about is if the albums dope..and really dont how much it sells etc in the overall picture..BUT! i really want will to tour..so switch and the album needs to be a success for that to happen.. and an album from will comes around once every 3 years or so, so we may as well use this time to help will on the charts however possible..but when it comes right down to it if lost & found sells 100, 000 and its wills best album ever and i cant stop listenin 2 it i'll still be happy :werd: I see what you're saying :ridepony: (smiley on poney = agreement)

  11. I just gathered myself enough to read this after posting my Toine rant, but how could you not include the Celtics? Word has it GP is coming back to Boston, that he'll be dropped by ATL. That gives the Celts a core rotation of the Glove, Paul Pierce, Ricky Davis, Tony Allen (nasty rookie, hope you've taken notice), Toine, Al Jefferson (See Allen, Tony), Raef LaFrentz & Mark Blount. This is not a well written argument so much as a laundry list of their players, but comon, you gotta see Boston as a contender in the East.... As for Philly, as long as C-Webb and AI can stay healthy (big "ifs"), that should be a very interesting mix for 6er fans. The Atlantic Division is less of a joke now! haha
  12. That's pretty impressive. I gotta say, I didn't have the sense it was doing that well (outside of these forums, anyways... but I usually assume a little bias here lol).
  13. We already collaborated on this assertion in the "Caught in the Middle" forum, but I feel the need to re-affirm this statement again. Quality track. (oh well, so its a little off topic...)
  14. Hey, not bad. JJ being one of my favorite artists too (completely diff genre but good stuff), this was a good debut week for my ppl (its ridiculous to refer to them as that).
  15. HOLY CRAP! TOINE IS BACK IN BOSTON! ALL CAPS ARE NECESSARY! MY POSTING PIC ISN'T RANDOMLY WEIRD ANYMORE! GARY PAYTON IS COMING BACK TOO! THE CELTS ARE BACK BABY! YES! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS! :switch: :switch: :switch: :switch: :switch: :switch: CELTIC PRIDE BABY! BOSTON CELTICS! TOINE & PAUL! BIG AL! RAEF! GP! SCREW PHILLY AND C-WEBB (HE'S A CRIPPLE) THE CELTS ARE THE NEW BEASTS OF THE EAST! I AM EXCITED TO AN OBSCENE DEGREE! YESSSSSSSSSSS!!!
  16. LALALALALALALA I'M NOT LISTENING!!!!!! (yoo ess aye! yoo ess aye! yoo ess aye!...)
  17. dude thats a great track..i just saw handsome boy live(they were woeful) check out track 7 from that album "its like that" ftg casual from hieroglyphics.. the "its like that" is actually a sample from opio i was tellin u abt b4 Woah, so it is! :scared2: At first I thought it was Chingy (j/p lol).
  18. I'm gonna hafta disagree w/ you on the premis that it somehow counts more here-- it may mean more to him that ppl from his country appreciate what he's doin, but it's not somehow more valuable or important overall. Wahtever. Basically, I'm just wriuting this to say check out the "where are you ppl from?" msg topic I started under the "caught in the middle" forum. There are def more ppl here are from outside the US than US. you're looking at it from a philosophical stand point. I'm lookin at it business wise. If it doesn't do well here in the US, then most likely it will influence whether or not Will is gonna put out another album. If it does well in the UK, it doesn't matter cuz that's gonna gonna make him say "it did well in the UK, so I'm gonna put out abother CD, even if I flop in America". Maybe he'll get more money but not doin well in America is blah. He even said he didn't like Boom Shake the Room for the reason that it was a big hit in Irelend (or somethin like that). LoL He really said that? I doubt he said it exactly like that but I hope he did, just b/c it'd be hee-larious. In any case, I see your pt to some extent, but success anywhere is still success. ... This has absolutely nothing to do w/ anything, but I now have a mental picture stuck in my head of the Lucky Charms leprechaun dancin to "Boom, Shake the Room." Probably not something I needed to share, but alas...

  20. In conclusion and in summary, Eminem and Will Smith are not really battling. What are we talking about?
  21. "Breakdown" by Handsome Boy Modeling School & Jack Johnson (quality stuff)
  22. Jealousy. That's awesome tho, looking foward to that track-- he has at least one of that breed on every album (I'm all that, I'm comin, Ya'll know...) and they often are the openers... Again, the fact that you were in the studio w/ JJ&FP is ridiculous. ... Ridiculously sweet! (hey, I'm clever)
  23. Hero, JusticeKnight-- I understand what you guys are saying. But I still don't feel like Eminem never said anything that horrible about Will Smith, specifically. I know he cursed him out, but he curses every1 out on his Slim-Shady-first-single records. Whether you're a fan or not, that's just his schtick in his shock-rap tracks. And that infamous line never dissed Will's skills or anything like that, just his criticism of rappers who curse alot. And the radio thing was just a stupid self-defense crack. Whatever. I have no problem w/ Will calling out his critics who knock his "nice guy" image, or even if he goes after Em for his style and ways of getting attention, but I don't think the Will-Em beef is really anything to speak of - at least yet. Anyone else with me on this?? :cya:
