  1. ok so i stopped hating long enough to check the track and i'm in love with it it's too nice to ignore
  2. i see what you're saying about the forum being slow, but idk, i think it was pretty active back before the new year...when every single artist on def jam released a record lol...or at least it felt like the busiest quarter in the industry... now no one is coming out with anything to really get hyped on...at least for a little...
  3. so you get legends...and then there's kanye (lol-not neccessarily a hate-Kanye thread yet)....to pay tribute...to...a...shoe. Golden Cow anyone? I'd rather have KRS-ONE, Nas, and Rakim to do something real special if they are to collaborate.
  4. my bad on the off-topic thing, its been some months here and i still make the occassional slip :sorry: anyway...EXTENDED VERSION? are you kidding me.....aghhhh...is there more FP rapping on that track? and seriously...do you have an "in" with Will lol...every single discussion someHOW you always got everything he ever spit, even for his son in his house somehow you had an audio recorder on his jacket...lol jk
  5. Now I'm not knocking Jazzy with this comment, but although I loved Jeff's scratching on Willenium's "Pump Me Up" I have to say that I just wait for Will's cut on that track. It's probably the most fun I have listening to his songs, but I wanna know if anyone else thinks the same about the track?
  6. well it isn't too far away. give me a month and 12 days. lol. but thanks again, altho that website is being very stubborn with this download. i just keep telling myself "patience, patience"
  7. bow wow has always been one of those artists i don't take the time to listen to..and maybe its being ignorant, but i just have never liked anything i've heard of his, disregarding the comments about will
  8. Thank you very much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :1-say-yes:
  9. I completely missed the opportunity to download from both the torrent and the other link... Anyone feeling like giving me an early birthday present?
  10. ah i agree its a great cd...i downloaded it right after WWE RAW switched to using "to be loved" as the theme song...
  11. Now there's another one!!! West coast remix!!! on hiphopdx.com...
  12. i think the saint's defensive lineman is also named will smith and i always, no matter what, take a second glance as i watched them beat a team that SHOULDA won the Super Bowl....aka the team from the home of the most diehard, passionate fans on earth...the Philadelphia Eagles.
  13. it's really a site that's got alot of faults...like it says that will smith and tommy lee are connected because "will smith and tommy lee JONES starred in MIB"....or how diddy and smith are connected, because someone on a blog at sohh.com mentioned them in the same entry...
  14. i actually got ahold of this track from a diff site and it is real hot...all the cats from the 90's really showed why they outshine alot in the game today...
  15. What the hell did you expect? The fact that its chess gets me excited, but Disney! I might be wrong but that movie could be REALLY bad. Whats the latest good movie they made? Hmm... the Lion King was ok. Before that? The Jungle Book. Thats 30 years between... the odds arent too good with other words. The Pirates of the Caribbean - Curse of the black pearl and Dead man's chest. Yeah well.. dont agree really. But sure, they were both decent. the one thing Disney should get credit for is really having a solid formula for these type of biography movies...the Rookie and such are well done movies on true stories.
  16. it's just a thought, but since R&B and rap are most prominent in urban and suburban settings, where technology is forced upon, in opposed to country where technology is less pushed, maybe that's why there is such a drastic slide in rap compared to country. These albums could be leaked in the country genre (and definitely rock), but I don't think there is as much a means to be aware of the leaks and take advantage of them.
  17. ya it was fun...it goes with MIB2 and I, Robot in my mind in terms of how I like it...just fun, not bad, not amazing, but good
  18. True HipHoppas would agree with the statement that Nas has brought himself to the level of the aforementioned. His discography compared to any of those mentioned cannot be ignored. Nas and KRS-ONE both are legends in the game. Nas has done exactly what can be looked upon as great art along with every other person you just mentioned. plus, nas WOULD agree as you said...because he is respectfully humble in that sense...
  19. Nas and KRS-One are neck and neck in terms of top MC's. Nas has always stepped to the plate and from the GATE was a standout...how quickly we forget Illmatic, I am..., then his Stillmatic, then his Street's Disciple-which was full of unbelievable rhymes. If anything, it's just a right of passage saying "yes, Nas IS up with us: KRS, Rakim, Kane, all them..."
  20. to me, "Chosen One" screams the "Born to Reign" track on the 2002 album, but completely digital compared to the chords used on that intro track. And Lost and Found was about as far away from Born to Reign as anything, except for the use of strings in the "Lost and Found" track, but even that was higher produced.
  21. Especially with an artist like Will Smith, who's music output has seriously decreased as the years have gone on, it seems perplexing certain songs don't make the final album cut. For example, a song like "Coming to the Stage" seems like a perfect complement to "Party Starter" and "Switch." Yet it was left off the US album tracklist, in favor of what we've all heard. Now I'm not discrediting the other songs, as many times an artist needs to sacrifice "single" material for prevailing theme of the album. Now I understand why "Holla Back" and "Who Am I" could not exist on the same album, as they both have different mixes of the same instrumentals, and the question will always be which one should have been included over the other. Also, a song like "The Chosen One" could be at best a mixtape song, as its creative beat is interesting, but a track that had no tie to "Lost and Found." But sometimes I get curious as to what goes on in the studio to make the cut... like why was "I'm chillin" left off of Game's album (only to be released as a bonus track on iTunes) or why "The N" or "Shine On" are not on Nas' Hip Hop is Dead regular release... I don't know...it's just a curiousity I've had brewing in my mind....and also on the mention of mixtapes, why has Will abstained from hosting one, maybe with a guy like Consequence or even laying down a few free tracks on a mixtape? I'd love to hear some thoughts...
  22. they broke up??? :shakehead: i thought they were gonna rocket into stardome, just like Robin thicke, everyone remembers his remix of switch on Lost and Found...and now look at him
