I've spent an inordinate amount of time watching reaction videos on YouTube. Always starts off with "Ok Will Smith..." Quickly followed by "Okay, Will Smith!" Always ends with "Okaaaaaaay, Will Smith!!!!!! Bars!!! Facts!!! He snapped!!!"2 points

It's the end of 2018...no new album yet
KevTastic and one other reacted to Big Willie for a topic
You’ve gotta move with the times Ted. Everything evolves to cater to a current audiences preferences. It’s not ignorance, it’s just not what they like or have even heard. If anything the older heads who don’t even attempt to listen to new school stuff before branding it trash, are the ignorant ones.2 points -
Will just posted this, a rehearsal for their 2017 concert. Excellent.2 points

I was actually there. There was so many people - it was insane!2 points -
Come on, man. Enjoy it. You've got six posts with negativity, life is too beautiful for that. I'll also point out that those artists he has collaborated with in the past were not of his era either, with the exception of Biz or Slick Rick and a handful of others. He's collaborated with people outside his norm throughout his career and I can't complain about this choice and the messege. Let Will be... different. Dope track.2 points

Thoughts on Fresh Prince of Bel Air Reunion Special
Big Willie reacted to Ale for a topic
What a wonderful reunion! Touching and emotional, with great behind-the-scenes footage. A fantastic gift for all the fans. It's amazing to see how many people and generations this show has touched. And after all these years, it feels 'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air' is more popular than ever. So good to see them back together! The James Avery tribute was perfect. A beautiful moment where words were not necessary to express how they feel about his loss. Very emotional so them all crying The Janet part was also a big one. I'm glad Will and she could have an honest conversation, and that1 point -

Yeah, I love Volume 2. I posted it on my Facebook after I got the heads up for Speech and Eshe about it. I should have tagged you in it. I'm glad you posted the new R&B one here, because I've wanted to watch it, but haven't had the time yet.1 point -

LL Cool J vs. Will Smith?
Lerkot reacted to JumpinJack AJ for a topic
The whole battle idea is corny to me. If it's not rooted in reality, it just isn't interesting. They are talking about battling as presentation or a setup. The Fresh Prince and LL Cool J have been my two favorite emcees for about 30 years. I'd rather just hear them do some songs together. It's long overdue. Shoot, with their history, I"d just like to hear them talk for an hour about their music and history together.1 point -

Since the decade is almost over I thought it would be a great idea to list all the songs Will did in the last 10 years. Just to get an overview of the of the music he did. I'll try to start this list. Keep in mind we're talking about the music he released from 2010 until 2020. If I missed something you guys can always add more. 2015 Fiesta (Remix) - Bomba Estéreo & Will Smith 2017 Get Lit - Will Smith 2018 Icon(Reggaeton Remix) - Jaden Smith featuring Nicky Jam & Will Smith Live It Up - Nicky Jam featuring Era Ist1 point

I can't believe all the familiar names from way way back in the day are still on here, I miss you guys. It's so cool that this forum is still active. What's up AJ! You once shipped a JJFP B-Sides & Rarities mixtape to me after an AIM chat years ago and to this day it's one of my favorite CDs ever haha (it had "From Da South" on it!!) And Tim you were the one who introduced me to Hieroglyphics and that essentially took me down the rabbit hole of underground hip hop which changed the way I listened to music. Is Da Brakes still here?? I miss our forum text-battle tournaments! L1 point -

KevTastic reacted to Big Willie for a topic
Nail on the head. His career buzz wasn’t even highest in the 90s. FPOBA has been appreciated more since it wrapped, 96 is where his career took off. Then he had a flawless, bankable period through 2000-2008, where if his name was attached to a project it went ballistic.1 point -
Awesome read! i got the image of Will in my head sitting on the floor playing nes from FPOBA lol1 point

'GETTIN' JIGGY WIT IT' SO SO DEF REMIX w/ JERMAINE DUPRI, CAM'RON, R.O.C., + BIG PUN
Ale reacted to JumpinJack AJ for a topic
Most of us know about this elusive remix. It popped up on a few mixtapes (on actual cassettes) back in 1997/1998. It often had the mixtape host screaming over it. It was never released, not even on a proper promotional CD, cassette, or 12". However, nearly 10 years ago, it was briefly available on Amazon digitally. I'm not sure about other digital platforms. The remix then disappeared. Since FP didn't have music coming out, I haven't been looking for it. However, I just noticed that it's back. For those of you who didn't get to buy/download it, and for those that are new to this remix, here1 point -

Just saw Aladdin. Same story as Tim. Full house, all ages. A lot of positive talk about Will. Even some applause at the end which never happens in Belgium. I liked it. Loved the end credits hearing the new version of Friend Like Me.1 point

Ain't this the truth. It sounds like many of the critics went in looking to hate it, and surprise, surprise, found things to hate. Most off the criticism centered on "Why was this even made? Can't people just enjoy the one made 27 years ago?" The criticisms are also quite disparate. Some critics hated it because they viewed it as unnecessary a "scene by scene" remake of the original... it wasn't. Others hated it because too many things were changed and some of their supposed favorite parts from the original didn't make it into the live action version. Those two criticisms are mutually exclusiv1 point

'Aladdin' - Will as Genie
Hero1 reacted to Big Willie for a topic
94% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes too. This and Bright are proof of how critics are extremely detached from what the consumer actually wants from the film industry and Hollywood. Wills career is beginning to thrive again. He has the calibre to win an Oscar, but his forte is in the action, sci-fi, comedic roles. Im glad to see him returning to those genres. Spies in Disguise looks like it’s gonna be a fun one for the family and Gemini Man looks dope as anything we’ve seen him do. Then of course Bad Boys for Life. It’s a very good time to be a Will Smith fan right now.1 point -
It was phenomenal... i absolutely loved it.. Aladdin, Lion King and The Little Mermaid are my favourite Disney films so I was so happy to see a live action remake of of 2/3. I think it was done perfectly and I loved the new twist they added... Like Rebirth said its feeling very nostalgic for us Will Smith fans at the moment.1 point

Will Smith to record new music for 'Aladdin'!
Hero1 reacted to JumpinJack AJ for a topic
Yes! This is perfect for the end credits. DJ Khaled is mad annoying, so I'm glad that he definitely took a back seat on this. The music definitely has a late 90's/early 2000's feel to it. The way he says "never had a friend like me" feels like he borrowed from 2Pac's "Never Had A Friend Like Me." I get the feeling his going to let Aladdin be a vehicle to finally get his own music out.1 point -

Logic Ft Will Smith - Don’t Be Afraid To Be Different
Abdul1997 reacted to 10th Prince for a topic
Logic wouldn't be my first choice either but the track is pretty good. Way better than songs like "Get Lit" or "Live It Up". I don't think that Will's gonna drop an album though. Unfortunately Logic is a little corny nowadays lyric wise. But he also put out some good stuff in the past. I would recommend listening to his first album "Under Pressure" or the first three Young Sinatra-Mixtapes (2010-2013). Second album was aight too but the rest of his discography isn't for me.1 point -
Logic Ft Will Smith - Don’t Be Afraid To Be Different
10th Prince reacted to DevilsJim89 for a topic
I'm loving this feature. It's great to hear Will have some flow and talk some ish. I'm hoping for more. I don't wanna hear the same crap about cursing, how he's working with crappy younger artists...just stop already. Either enjoy it or don't. It's 2019, not 1989. Gotta get with the times. If you like something great, enjoy it but don't constantly remind us in every post about how KRS-One, Hammer, Kool G Rap, Biggie are just way far superior. They all made some wack records too.1 point -
I like the song he still got it but obviously this is the first time logic is mentioned on this board so I know most jjfp fans rather see him keep it classic although the song sounds like a home base song1 point
