  1. +1 on Teds post. Couldn't agree more. Just thinking realistically AJ, you cant just hang onto to old interviews about music or "Twinkle Twinkle (I'm Not A Star)" as much as I'd love too, times have changed. Even though I'm not the biggest Ice Cube fan, he really does a decent job (from what I've seen) of managing both careers properly. Its not 5 movies, 1 album and then another 7 movies...etc. I think Lost & Found had us all fooled...unfortunately.
  2. LOLOL!!!!! That made my day....thats just too funny. I know Tim and Kev will def appreciate this!!!! hahahah
  3. I feel the same way as everyone here. There's very little hope at this point. Thinking back to convos I've had with Jeff/Jeff's wife and Skillz, Will is probably done at this point. The conversation I had with Jeff's wife in Oct 2009 really stands out in my mind just because we were talking about the music industry and how messed up it is and how Will probably doesn't wanna deal with the hassle. Will doesn't have to rap and can just avoid all that bull**** with labels, executives...etc. You can just tell from 1999 on...its been a bunch of crap surrounding his music. 1998: DJ Jazzy Jeff's album was never released. 1999: Sony didn't wanna push "So Fresh" so Will had to pay for it himself and still Sony didn't promote it 1999: Freakin It was obviously a lame attempt as a sequel to Gettin Jiggy Wit It 1999: The prelude to Wild Wild West is a conversation between Will and Jaden, basically mocking out Sony with Jaden acting out (1st acting gig) the Sony executives and how they only wanted to hear Wild Wild West and not push songs like "The Rain" 1999: The promotion for the album probably ended 4 months after it was released. 2002: Black Suits Comin was the lead single off the album, Sony trying to use the same formula and cross promote both projects. Didn't work. 2002: Listen to the title track, Will pretty much sums things up about selling your soul to the label. 2002: 1000 kisses is released a few months later as the 2nd single off the album. Blatantly didnt care about the album at this point. 1000 kisses didn't do anything on the charts. 2005: Switch did plenty of damage on the charts, album went Gold...looked like things would be good on Interscope. 2005: Party Starter is released nearly 7-8 months after Switch and the album dropped! Ridiculous! 2005: Listen to the lyrics, more specifically the 3rd verse to Party Starter...you can hear his frustrations with the label. 2005: Tell Me Why was destined according to Will as the 2nd single...aka "douse the cold water on them", never released due to the record being too "political" Thats alot to deal with. It's ridiculous. Will does have the money and label to manufacture and market the album but with a garbage industry, why should he? I just wish he would take the Jazzy Jeff route and go a little underground, create a strong online presence on YouTube and Twitter and release songs from there. Ryan Leslie and Drake are artists that are known to succeed with this. No one is holding him back from his creativity this way. AJ and Kev were talking about creating a buzz online and while it has been mentioned time after time, we actually don't need to create a buzz or online movement. Its already here, this site is huge worldwide. Its been online since '96 and it gets plenty of hits a day/month/year. Jeff and Will have both seen this site and for the lucky ones here including myself who have met Jeff, he knows what we want because he wants it too. He's said it time after time. Thank God for Jeff because he keeps providing us with great music and he keeps nagging Will's tail.
  4. Happy Birthday Kev! Enjoy your day bro!!
  5. I dont know I look at Facebook and Twitter as two entirely different platforms. Facebook just converges information, pictures, videos, links and communication in one convenient location. Its easy to share everything even though people really aren't mature at all about it. For instance, I know some girls who continually update their profile pic everyday just to gain attention. It's ridiculous and that was one thing I hate about MySpace. In retrospect, the original conception of MySpace was a great idea but it just evolved into more garbage. I use to hate when I would goto a buddy's MySpace and almost get a seizure because of the conflicting colors screaming at me. lol. The cool thing about Facebook is that it provides uniformity so that prevents morons customizing ridiculously. As for Twitter, again for me its convergence of many different links. A streamlined and slimmed down version of Google Reader. I usually get a lot of my news from there since its all compiled into one. However, I think its just for celebrities to share conversations with other celebs in the public domain. Celebrities never respond to fans and aren't personable. I'm not saying they need to respond to each message they get from thousands of followers because that's insanity but I just never see celebs communicating with the fans.
  6. Congrats Tim! That is an extraordinary accomplishment! I didnt even know you left Twitter lol
  7. SMH....man no disrespect to Willow but I'm just getting sick of this. I hate how earlier today I was listening to "Get Hyped" which was quality music and now the closest thing musically for Will is Willow...ugh..
  8. I wish more groups...well JJ+FP in particular would do this. Remaster the tracks, add some unreleased tracks, quality remixes and pictures and actual linear notes. Not to stir up a debate but I listened to a lot of Pete Rock and CL Smooth during work tonight and I have to say that I think the Main Ingredient is such a better album. Theres only a few tracks I like on here...I love Lots of Lovin, T.R.O.Y, On and On, and one or two more.
  9. Nice clip. I really hope hes working on an MIB 3 song. It'd be the perfect way to come back to rap again. Do it big one last time!
  10. OMG LOL ...you jerk lol This was just as bad as my April Fools prank about 6 years ago! LOL Basically its like, we want something so bad and have been waiting for it and just hoping that day will come.
  11. Well, that solves it. Another letdown...so disappointing. I want real music.
  12. I highly doubt the Game and Willow are working together. It just doesn't seem right. I'm going to stick with what Jeff told me, top secret LOL ...maybe next time I see him I'll ask again lol
  13. Such a great remix!! I absolutely love it...really chill.
  14. Its crazy guys...i dont know about you guys but im still nervous and starstruck when i talk to him, my dream is to one day sit down w him and conduct an interview for this site or even be in the booth with him to watch the magic. Theres so much i wanna ask him that i cant cuz its too loud in the club lol he knows how to reward the true fans!
  15. Exactly my man! So lucky and blessed. Its incredible and the fact that Jeff and his crew are so nice and down to earth is even better.
  16. Great photos guys!!! Glad you all had a great time. I'm envious cause you guys get to chill with him before the show. In NJ, its a little different. Its hard to actually have a conversation cause we're in the club but hes such a chill dude. They all are. One day all of us are gonna meet up.
  17. Have a fun time guys!!!! It'll def be memorable!! Remember your mission! LOL hopefully you guys return with some new info.
  18. I think its a great combination. Skillz brings that extra element that isolates their shows from the typical DJ in a club playing music you know...he makes it a fun environment and when your there live, the volume of the music and Skillz are at a great level.
  19. Brakes and Kev - your mission is to find out if Will is doing music - or at least an MIB 3 song! PLEASE LOL
  20. I asked Jeff about it last summer and I saved that pic on my BlackBerry and showed it to him and asked what was going on....he just put his finger over his lips and said shhh top secret LOL ...so something is brewing! Maybe Brakes or Kev can ask again!!
  21. Love those videos....I love when Jeff drops Nirvana...makes u go crazy! I love how you're all over the video man...from Australia to Las Vegas to Miami ...JJFP.com baby!
