  1. Am I missing something? How come Jay-Z isn't on this list?! There was no rapper, except maybe Eminem who was bigger than Jay-Z...every year a hit song or an album, some project...wow ridic.
  2. I bet Tim would love this!! Our fellow Aussie!!
  3. Nice!!! Love the plaques!!! I love new stuff like this being discovered constantly!
  4. that was pretty cool! thanks for that! I always love discovering new JJ+FP footage!
  5. This is amazing!!!!! I LOVE THE ENERGY! they gotta perform this song live, how could Will hate this song? The adrenaline is crazy! They should just perform together again right now, period.
  6. He got REALLY better and I love love love how he keeps pointing and paying homage to JJ+FP...love it!! With better production like this track and the better flow, hes got some good components here. Keep it up!
  7. Very good stuff! Jeff is real down to earth, great dude! thanks for this!
  8. This is such a fantastic read because its directly from Jeff himself. Yes, Will should definitely do the same one of these days and just talk about that moment of time. Like Will said in the past, an album is a snapshot of the artist's life at the time. I really was hoping there would be a tad bit more regarding Code Red since that album unfortunately is never talked about. My favorite line of the whole interview is this: I don’t care how mad I am at Will or vice versa; we did this together. We will never split up.
  9. This is probably the best, insightful, in-depth read about JJ+FP ever published. I love this type of reading!!! Straight from Jazzy himself - the definitive interview. -------- DJ Jazzy Jeff is struggling to make sense of it all. When you insist that the man born Jeffrey Townes is a certified hip-hop legend, he seems uncomfortable with such a notion. Yet, the stat sheet doesn’t lie. As one half of the highly influential late ‘80s rap duo Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince, the celebrated tandem sold millions of albums as they helped push the rugged boundaries of hip-hop to Middle America. The irony? The kindler, gentler young men from the otherwise two-fisted area of West Philadelphia presented a PG alternative to the hardcore likes of Public Enemy and NWA. Indeed landmark songs like “Girls Ain’t Nothing But Trouble,” “Parents Just Don’t Understand,” and “Summertime” garnered Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince universal acclaim. Still, there were the critics who dismissed the MTV darlings as mere pop fluff. Never mind that. Jazzy Jeff went on to stake his claim as one of the most celebrated hip-hop turntablist of all time; an underrated talent that made the music industry take notice after forming the successful production crew A Touch of Jazz—an outfit that has hammered out hits for everyone from Jill Scott to Michael Jackson. Jeff’s gregarious partner Will Smith? He conquered Hollywood, becoming one of the biggest box office stars to ever walk God’s green earth. From the Fresh Prince to his own Magnificent album series, Jazzy Jeff looks back at a history-making career that spans more than two decades.—Keith Murphy -------------- CLICK!!! http://vibe.com/content/full-clip-jazzy-jeff-breaks-down-fresh-prince-catalogue-beyond
  10. thanks guys!!!! appreciate it!!!
  11. Congrats to Jeff & his new wife...shes an absolute sweetheart and they're a great match!
  12. Once again, I was privileged to go see DJ Jazzy Jeff and Skillz tear it up in Atlantic City, NJ over the weekend. It just never gets old. Darnell is probably the nicest guy on the planet who got me and my 2 friends the hook up not only into the club but backstage in the VIP area with Jazzy, Dee Jay AVee...etc. A lot of Jazzy's friends were there because it was his bachelor party and he's getting married this Saturday (Congrats to him!) and it was just an overall amazing time. The nicest, most humble people ever. It truely is the ultimate party! I wrote Jazzy a letter and made a CD of just rare JJ+FP performances, interviews...etc. I just wanted to give something back to my favorite DJ in the world and especially that he's getting married. These are amazing people and like Jazzy and Skillz said, they are the good time crew. Always having fun. On a side note: It's amazing how much of an impact this website is making. You may not realize it but Jeff and his crew are well aware of the site and the presence is alive all over the world whether it's Tim in Australia or Brakes and Kev in the UK...etc. They absolutely love the fans and Jeff's got nothing but love for us. Pic from the night, I'm on the left.
  13. AJ broke it down pretty damn well... What I have.. JJ+FP Greatest Hits Video - GREAT VIDEO! MUST HAVE JJ+FP! All the videos except "The Things U Do", very nice to have the "I'm Looking for the One(to be with me)" on there Will Smith Live in Concert (ft. DJ Jazzy Jeff) - another must have! You'll see exclusives such as "Brand New Funk 2K5" (from YouTube which I uploaded) and "Tell Me Why" (ft. Mary J Blige) live. Real dope!
  14. This is pretty comical - it was Will Smith after all!!!
  15. I cant believe other members are sleeping on this!!!
  16. Do you remember the name of the show at all AJ? I'm trying to keep it accurate...I could've sworn this was from the AMAs in 93, and didnt they do " I Wanna Rock" from the 94 AMAs a year later? Ale, where is that Spanish performance? I couldnt find it
  17. HERE IT IS, an extremely hard to find video of JJ+FP performing "I'm Lookin for the One (to be with me)" Live @ the 1993 American Music Awards, nice little flashback too in the beginning. A CLASSIC JJ+FP performance! VERY HARD TO FIND! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Njk15z4B0g
  18. Good! Take some time (but not too much like Will Smith LOL) and make some quality music, the last album was at most half quality tracks and it was obvious he wanted to adapt to "whats hot", esp with the number of guests, take some time, get with Timbaland and Ryan Leslie again and make some magic.
  19. I would love to see a reunion of Run-DMC but not just a show, some new material. I completely understand what hes saying about disrespecting JMJ but it doesnt mean to rule out new music completely. Matter of fact, Run DMC's last album (Crown Royal, 2001) was pretty good and JMJ was only involved in 3 tracks. With the right production, itd be nice to hear new Run DMC. Hook up with Jermaine Dupri again too!
  20. Its Mick Boogie, not Mike LOL Interesting article nonetheless, good to see it get some shine!
  21. Diddy is an incredible producer, even if alot of them used pop samples who cares, his skills are genious, his rapping on the other hand is medicore but ill still throw on No Way Out when i cruise around in the summer
