Great post Max! Exactly. Poke & Tone are both coming off very ignorant. What is Will Smith? They had to have been living under a rock from 86-96. Lets break it down since "Summertime" 1990 - FPoBA begins 1991 - Homebase drops, Summertime HUGE hit, Ring My Bell hit, The Things That U Do, small hit 1992 - JJFP wins another Grammy 1993 - Code Red, Boom Shake the Room huge international hit, US-Top 10 hit 1994 - JJFP performs at AMA 1995 - Hes the DJ, I'm the Rapper - certified 3x Platinum, Will doesn't want to rap anymore Bad Boy - Will's 1st starring movie - HUGE 1996 - ID4 huge movie 1997 - MIB - Will Smith return to rap... ..and he hasn't had a hit since Summertime? LOL indeed.

I think there's a lot of bull**** in there. I really don't believe Will said that....especially that "make me cool" line. I think this is another case of "hating on Will Smith is cool" type of thing. They act like they were so reluctant to record with him. Give me a break...they made great music, they got paid, they became "friends" but they're acting like "yeah we never really wanted to do it, it was wack - still is, we're friends with Will but he still sucks...." I think deep down inside they were afraid of losing "credibility" after working with more "street" artists.

I'll believe it when I HEAR IT! haha.. In this day and age with the internet you'd think we'd hear a lot more from Jeff and Will. As big as Will is as a movie star, one thing is apparent, he has FULL control of whatever music he does. It's very secretive. I respect it but at the same time, it's like DAMN!!! We'll see if we hear this soon...I hope!!

Yes!!!!!! This is the holy grail!! I wonder if it's the same guy who made a youtube video with about the 1st 10 minutes of this...he first said in the video he'd love "to put the demo tapes in Will's hands"...not sure if that video is still online but this is fantastic!!! You know what the best part of this is? It's RAW! No hooks, no singers - just two turntables and a mic! Will just spitting and Jeff cutting up everything in sight! There's gotta be more where this came from. I'm sure this isn't the only mixtape they put out but its an awesome start! Nice find Ale - once again you are the man!!

Unfortunately I couldn't go see Jeff last night because I had work at 8am the next morning. Damn... We all know about Will but until it happens, its just the same runaround. Thank God for Jeff always nagging his tail...Jeff's the man, simply put.

That's incredible! I love this stuff - this is what I NEED! Hopefully more is to come!!! The best part of all - they're performing JJFP material, Will Smith "solo" hits are great but any JJFP is just so much better.

Can anyone translate the interview? It looks like Will is just having the time of his life on the mic again. I'm shaking my head in confusion because he could've done the 3rd theme song and it would've been his gateway into the music world again.

I think this is pretty cool however it's pretty obvious what was prewritten and what was actually freestyled. Will needs to drop some fresh brand new bars. C'mon Will!!

Damn, the video is unavailable now. I did see the 2pac part and I admit, it was a pretty cool concept. Looks so real. However, I thought I saw somewhere that they're gonna tour with the 2pac hologram. Am I the only one that thinks its ridiculous? So rappers are now at the point of performing with holograms? Really? It's cool for a one night show but not for a full tour. 2pac is dead, let him be. Stop trying to "reincarnate him" whether in Hologram form or that garbage "Loyal to the Game" album produced by Eminem. He's one of the greatest to do it, stop profiting off of him already.

This is a great interview! I've always wanted to read what was on the JJFP album plaque. I love hearing what Jeff has to say, always insightful.

It's amazing how time flies. I remember how chaotic it was the couple days leading up to the release with all the leaks. I bought it the day it came out - went to Wal-Mart that morning and got it. It's a good album but definitely has it's shortcomings or should I say ...short songs. The production is very 2005 but one track that I loved from the day it came out is Party Starter. How that song wasn't a hit is beyond me. That whole L+F project was mishandled. Switch cleared the way for something special to follow like Tell Me Why and Party Starter but nothing ever transpired. Could've went Platinum at least.

That was pretty cool. Hard to believe that was 14 years ago, I miss that era. I was 10 at the time but I remember how big that song and album was. It was everywhere.

That song was hot garbage. Unbelievable what people think "good music" is.

It's just so painful to watch someone who is legendary rapper on wax, talk like he's an 80 year old senior citizen at nursing home.

I hear you on that AJ about Nas and his comminucation skills. He makes an interview so painful to listen to. He's not animated, descriptive or detailed. its always "yeah, yeah, you know, you know....etc." Really boring! I always wonder if he's stoned out of his mind during interviews.

I don't really get what he's saying aside from that he's cool with Will...etc. Can anyone clarify? Couldn't really make anything out.
