  1. OMG my wish has come true - all of our wishes!!! This news is gonna be an internet wildfire...I can't wait!!! Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince are back baby!!!!!
  2. Whoa - thats straight fire. Wasn't expecting that! Thanks! I've heard some stuff here and there from them the last couple of years (ex. Hip Hop Honors track) and I wasn't thrilled so this is real nice.
  3. Yo Turntable, the mixtape is coming REAL soon....its called '92 til Infinity...hosted by DJ Jazzy Jeff
  4. fingers crossed!!! no more excuses!
  5. I completely agree Ted. There are so many examples of success stories for every industry/interest.
  6. I hate to bust everyone's bubble hear but there is no track with JJ+FP. When I first met Jeff, outside of the Fluid nightclub in Philly almost 2 years ago, I asked about that and he said there wasn't a track. He wishes they did work together though. I dont know where this whole MJ ft JJFP track came from anyway - was it AJ who saw it in TV Guide back in 1999? lol ..If thats the case, ten years later in 2009, I was lucky enough to ask and unfortunately, no track exists. I asked the source guys...
  7. Hey guys - I've been away from the board for the last couple months and I really wanted to post this sooner but life has just been really hectic lately between 2 jobs, school and stuff on the home front so I apologize in advance - dont mean to come off as unappreciative or anything like that. Jazzy and Skillz were in Atlantic City, NJ at the Borgata Casino at Club Mixx on Saturday September 10th and it was again an awesome set. Didn't really have a chance to chat with him other than saying whats up and thank you to him but once again, him and his crew - the hospitality is incredible. One cool part of the night was my friend Craig told me some guy looks like Sway from MTV so I asked DJ A.Vee (part of Jeff's squad) if that was him and it was. Sway was in the building rockin out to Jeff's set and he is just like Jeff in terms of being down to earth and easy going to talk to. You know what's funny is like after all these times of seeing Jeff and everything, I still get nervous, not so much star struck but nervous in the sense I don't wanna come off looking stupid or anything lol I think I'm just thinking too much into everything and the fact that I have this connection is amazing. I didn't get to take much pics but here's one of Jeff and one of me and Sway... So major shout out of course to Tim for hooking all this up for me! Forever grateful my man!
  8. Ahh the memories lol I'm so glad this theme was resurrected. I agree with AJ (although I dont understand what our different opinions actually were lol i've must've forgotten over the years hah) but its indeed very bold and vibrant. The last design was definitely very uniform and the JJFP logo and pic of will and the game and neptunes didn't really belong and was kind of choppy looking. This is excellent, maybe keep the code red insert pic and just add an updated pic of the two. Great job!
  9. The only collabo I want is with DJ Jazzy Jeff. I agree with Silver Tiger completely because if you look at Willenium, one of its biggest flaws is that it had way too many collabos and that was 1999, collabos are even more popular now which is ridiculous. On a track like "Who Am I", MC Lyte really didn't need to be on there. However to answer your question... LL Cool J Jay-Z Skillz Nas Lupe Fiasco
  10. Wow man, welcome to the board. That's a respectable top 5 list. Hopefully you've checked out Will's prior 5 albums with Jeff. 1. Party Starter (Radio Edit) - It just has some extra touches to it. The song is a banger but is probably one of Will's most lyrical tracks ever. Listen to the lyrics, he subliminally spits the truth about today's rap. 2. The Rain - A smooth and soulful track. Jill Scott with the hook and Jeff on the production, it's another great lyrical song. 3. Yes Yes Y'all ft. Camp Lo - I'm in love with the Isley Brothers sample. 4. I Loved You - Very underrated track off Big Willie Style. The beat bangs real hard and you can feel the emotion in his voice/flow. 5. Give Me Tonite - Just a real cool track.
  11. I never thought I'd see the day when every rap website has the headline "Will Smith making comeback to Rap..." ...WOW! The Fresh Prince is back FTW!! I just hope this new album gets a lot more shine and that he drops more tracks and it doesn't take another 7 years for an album to drop!!
  12. This is the best news we've had since 2004 when we heard that Will was working on an album. It's been way too long! I just watched the videos for Switch and Party Starter and it got me so excited again. I just hope this time around he works with better producers (ahem. DJ Jazzy Jeff) and has more of an online presence with tracks to download and stuff. Give us music, music and more music please!!
  13. i cant believe this!!! finallyyyy!!!! 6 long years!!! haha...i was thinking the same. id have him say it a million times if it meant there was new music in the works!!
  14. I just love seeing Will with a mic in his hand...
  15. Wow...this is pretty cool. Inching and inching closer to music - or well it seems like it. I just hope the number one question is .....Will are you gonna rap again? Will belongs on that stage, not on a screen.
  16. That is amazing...nice gem! Someone a couple years ago had a Code Red Gold plaque...so nice.
  17. Dont get me wrong, the lyrics to "Chosen One" are incredible....I just wish he had way better production for that track. For Dont Fight the Feeling, its just an awkward sounding beat, the sample is terrible in my opinion.
  18. All of them are really good tracks except Dont Fight the Feeling and the Chosen One....I think they both absolutely suck. lol.
  19. Hmmm...wow this would be something for sure, not sure if its might forte but its definitely intriguing.
  20. The Rain is probably the most underrated track by JJFP. It's such a soulful track with the classic Jazzy sound and the hook by Jill Scott. Will lyrics are very real and reflection of his life/career and heart. I just wish he'd follow his heart and release more music like this. I just hate how its the last track on the album. Wild Wild West should've been the very last song.
